Wonderful delicious fresh sushi!
The place is cute and small- about 10 tables and very clean!
All staff were extremely helpful and friendly.
This will be my go to sushi place!
Hard to see at night but just keep a close eye out becuase it is well worth it!!

Our family has been coming here for years. You really can't find better sushi! We ate there again last night and were reminded how amazing this restaurant is. The staff is so very friendly, the atmosphere is warm, the sushi was perfect and was scarfted down in a matter of minutes. I can't recommend this restaurant enough.

Undeniably The Most Authentic Japanese Menu in the capital region.

Service is stellar, staff are beyond kind and attentive.

Atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable.

Food presentation is neat and homey, I love their dishware and nice waxed disposable chopsticks that break correctly.

Topping it off, its reasonably priced for amazingly fresh and perfectly stored fish for sushi, sashimi, etc.

Went back twice in the same week, I think I could eat anything off their menu and give it 5 stars.

-Try the Okonomiyaki, I can't say anywhere else nearby serves it at all.

The supremely nice owner welcomed us to his restaurant and thanked us for coming. He then gave us a "grand tour" of the menu, explaining each category of item and how everything worked. He truly set the tone for a beautiful evening. We ordered salmon sushi, tuna sushi, and a spicy tuna roll. The sushi was delicious and silky smooth. The roll was fantastic. The atmosphere was very warm and welcoming, with lighting and decor making the restaurant suitable for a casual bite or a nice date spot. We will return both for the food and the owner!

We dined here for the first time the other night, and I was so impressed. Not only was the food delicious, but everyone there was incredibly kind! They've created a very pleasant atmosphere. I will definitely be eating here again.

Small, clean minimalist locale. Friendly manager asked if it was our first visit then explained the menu and sushi choices. Food was very well prepared. Enjoyed the dinner box and noodle soup. Recommended.

The best Sushi in Clifton Park and maybe the Tri county area. I WOULD EAT HERE EVERYDAY. UPDATE: STILL THE BEST SUSHI 1.27.23. I can not stress enough how this is the best Sushi in the area. We are treated very well every time! It is the best Sushi I have had anywhere near Albany. I have taken people here that have been all across the USA. They also believe Sushi Na Ra is some of the best sushi they have had. Wonderful people wonderful place wonderful food. 10/10.

Hands down best sushi place in town. Our favorite sushi place to go in the capital region. Food is always incredibly fresh and high quality. Prices and selection are great. Genie and the rest of the staff are amazing and always polite with a huge smile to greet us. There service is prompt and professional. Will continue to come here for years to come.

Hands down the best service and quality sushi you could ask for. The owners are great people making a living on what they know best. Take great pride in there business and take care of there customers. I have been eating here for years. Almost every Friday of ever week I order sushi for the wife and I and have yet been disappointed. If I could give 10 star rating.. I would.

I eat sushi roughly 2-3 times a week and this place is HANDS DOWN the best in the area. The staff is so kind and absolutely rocks. So if you're looking for the best sushi in the 518 come here, I promise you won't be disappointed!

Sushi was amazing really fresh and so delicious, the miso soup I usually don’t get it because I don’t like it how it taste but their soup was so good!

Hands down one of the best Japanese restaurants I've been to in a while. The sushi is amazingly good and stuffed full of the good stuff and just the right amount of rice. Service always seems fast even when they are busy. The sushi chef always invites my kids up to the bar to watch her prepare their meal and explains what she is doing along the way. Every time we are in the area we stop at Sushi Na-Ra and are never disappointed!

Such a nice restaurant, we (2 people) stopped in after picking some things up at target and Michael’s which is on the complex across the street, we saw this place and thought why not. The man working there was so nice and hard working. He explained how the menu system worked and let us know what some of the items were so we were educated on what we were ordering before doing so. He literally was running from table to table both inside and out. We ordered our food, chicken teriyaki, the new California roll, and a spicy crab roll. Everything was amazing and that statement is probably underselling it. The sushi was fresh, and the chicken teriyaki had a great flavor. I’m usually someone who either loves or hates the miso soup restaurants offer, this restaurant’s miso soup had great flavor and I really enjoyed it.We placed a to go order after we finished, they had run out of sushi rice because of how busy they had gotten but that wasn’t a problem at all because there are a million things to choose from. The man also felt so badly that they had ran out of that type of rice and kept apologizing so you can really see the employees care about the customers and are so friendly plus they really hustle around. I have never left a review before but I felt like this place deserved 5 stars. Definitely will return! Only comment I would make for someone who is thinking about coming here is that the prices are more than at other restaurants, the average roll was $8 and I believe my chicken dish was $22 however the quality of food, speed, flavor, and customer service you will not find anywhere else and makes it totally worth it!

I recently ventured into Sushi Nara on the advice of a friend. The restaurant is located in a strip mall which I found detracts from the fine decor awaiting inside the restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant, I was greeted by two greeters and the sushi chef. The chef was preparing food behind a glass enclosure that allowed anyone sitting at the counter to witness the wonderful menu creations firsthand. Upon sitting I was quickly attended to, and in a matter of moments my order was taken.
As I waited for my food, I enjoyed Miso Soup and a salad before receiving my food. The presentation of food was clean and complete. I ordered the Tropicana and the Dragon rolls which featured spicy salmon. The salmon and the avocado was fresh. Despite a hearty appetite, I was unable to finish the nicely portioned rolls.
I recommend Sushi Nara to anyone looking for great food at reasonable prices. Don't let the strip mall location keep you from enjoying first class sushi.

Staff was extremely friendly and homely. Sushi was extremely fresh and tasted amazing. The beef bulgogi is to die for, had to order one to go as well. Would definitely return. Great for business outings and family dinners.

Best sushi place in the capital region. They downscaled their menu after covid, but I hope they will come back to what they used to be. Still even now they are just great.

Best traditional sushi! They make fancy rolls also, but if you are a purist like me, favoring simple nigiri, the lady sushi chefs will artfully craft perfectly- sized, delectable morsels. The fish is always fresh and the sushi rice is prepared just right. If you appreciate quality, not quantity, this is the restaurant. Many of the others are merely mediocre with too many neon lights and mismatched interior textures. The decor at Sushi Na-ra is uncomplicated, and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable. I love this place!
