Royal Mountain Campground

We just love Royal Mountain campground. This is our third year coming up from Texas to spend a month camping here. The owners Sara and Todd are the nicest people that you could ever meet. You always see them out working hard everyday to ensure their campgrounds are kept in top condition. We feel right at home parking our RV here.

This past weekend my friends and I camped at this location and I have to say we all had an amazing time. Not only is this camp ground beautiful, but the people are also probably some of the nicest people I have ever met, you can tell the location is family oriented and anything you need someone is willing to assist you with. The owner Sara was very sweet. The bathrooms are EXCEPTIONALLY clean and the area is also very nice. The Icecream on the grounds is top notch and my friends and I all were impressed with our experience. Due to the elevation it is a bit chillier than in the towns so I’d suggest bringing extra blankets if tent camping (which we did and froze one of the nights so don’t make the same mistakes as us!) but over all we have no complains what so ever and will DEFINITELY be returning.

Stayed here for a nice long weekend with friends, we loved every minute! The camp is mainly RVs but we stayed in tents and it was an amazing experience. The camp owners are super friendly, and checked on us every so often as we were hadn't been there before. Neighboring campers lent us wood when we ran out. Everything was incredibly clean including the bathrooms and showers. Granny's Ice Cream is to die for! I would 100% camp here again and I cannot wait to do so!

Very relaxing atmosphere. Quiet super quiet but I raised some chaos an my neighbors were chill. I felt comfortable for a camp ground. I rented the 34 foot camper! The only thing wrong was the sleeping set up, the queen was the best bed I ever laid on in forever. However the side beds an quest beds was so uncomfortable. But it was super CLEAN! would do it again.

We have stayed here plenty of times. We have stayed in both cabins now. I really like the glamping cabin. It's decorated so country and homey. The owners are excellent and will accommodate anything you need. We will be staying here for years to come

We stopped here last minute. They were helpful on the phone and got us a pull through site. The owner stayed late to help us get parkee in the rain. Looks like a great little campground

Thank goodness for a place like Royal Mountain. Made a last minute reservation via phone. Woman on the phone was extremely helpful. Told her we'd probably arrive after their offc closed at 8 PM. She called me at 8 to see how close I was. Told her GPS said we'd be there ~9:30 PM. She gave the owner a heads-up. He met us at the gate when we arrived - then led us to our campsite, and even helped direct us as we backed in to our site in the dark. So appreciate their awesome customer service. The whole campground and facility reflects their pride. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Quiet, peaceful, lots of trees. We had called earlier in the day to make reservations, knowing we'd be pulling in late. I expected to find our site info taped to the office door as the woman I talked to said the office closed at 8 pm. When we arrived at 8:20 pm, we found someone waiting for us to show us to our site. Their thoughtfulness was greatly appreciated. The camp was quiet, well maintained, the bathroom/shower house was clean. If passing through the area again, we'd definitely stay here

2nd time here came back after first visit two weeks ago.
Very clean and respectful campground with ice cream, hot dogs and many other items.

They also sell fire wood and propane on the premises.

I will keep coming back!

Ted is a stand up guy who is extremely helpful and easy to talk to.

In addition this is the only place that would g8ve us water and a pump out for our trailer .

Great place to stay! Friendly owners. Granny's Ice cream is dangerously good! We love the smell of the pines and the total atmosphere of the place.

Great campsite, with the best ice cream stand in the area at the entrance to the site. Quiet place with lots of shade. Management is always hard at work on site, making sure everything goes smoothly. Highly recommended.

Amazing site, great culture, everyone is friendly and makes it a point to help one another to make their experience as good as everyone else’s, beautiful views, the atmosphere around the campground is amazing as well, it’s a great community and overall an amazing experience thanks too Royal Mountain Camp Ground

Clean campground with easy pull throughs. No sewer hookups but easy access to the dump station. The ice cream at Granny's is delicious!! Friendly staff even with masks 😊

Ted was were helpful. The only one who would fill are water and do pump out in area. Thank you Ted

Wonderful place to stay. The owners are upgrading the campground. Off the beaten path but well worth the time.

We are new at camping.thia is are 2nd time at royal mountain an is the best place.peaceful.the owner is great had help us first time emptying our camper.the seasonal people are great an meant some I hadn't seen sense I was 15 an grew up together.if ya want a great place I truely recommend royal mountain an the plus is the ice cream.i love there potatoe salad.love it here

Very nice campground, lots of trees and greenery, very clean, well maintained and reasonably priced. Very friendly folks..will stay again when in the area
