I stayed there with my friend in May for a week. We absolutely loved it - a prime spot for New York. Times Square is on 2 minutes walk, it is very lively. A lot a performances happen then. But do go early evening as the red steps are usually fully occupied by 7pm. The rooms are super clean. We had a Queen bedroom each and it was huge. Tea/coffee machine, bottled water, iron + board. Maid service every morning. I am going again next year, we loved it. Great atmosphere, the downside were breakfast menu not great & being so close to the action, it sometimes gets noisy at night but you're find in 1 of the back rooms, I had the front room. All the landmarks are walkable distance. Apart from Liberty Island & Ground zero. Even those we took the subway & were there in no time. Not tickets necessary, just flash your debit or credit card at the entrance & that's it. We walked 20,000 plus there every day and we got to see so much more as opposed on bring stuck inside a bus, which gey caught up in the traffic jam most of the time. Enjoy 😉 😉

We booked for a quick city trip. I loved the location and closeness to times square. It made traveling to the American Girl store a breeze (which was the point of our visit). Being able to check out bags prior to check in was amazing. The staff was respectful and made the process smooth. Upon check in, it was quick at the kiosk and we were to our room in under 10 minutes. The room was more spacious than pictured and described. Bathroom was small but did not take away from the overall room. Room was clean and even during renovations, there was no disruption.

Fantastic, elevators worked great (was warned about this but seemed overblown) service was good. It's loud, so don't complain because you're staying a block off times Square. I'm a heavy sleeper and it was more than manageable. The free and easy breakfast in the mornings got us going fast and out the door.

I've been staying at the Edison Hotel for many years. Its location is perfect - close to Times Square and most of the theaters. Our room was quite big for a NY room, but the bathroom was very small. Things were always clean both in our room and the hotel in general. And they offered extra Perks. One was a Triumph walking tour to various parts of NYC. The one we took went over to Rockefeller center and it was a great introduction to the area. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly and to top it off, it was free. Also free was wine of certain days between 5:00 and 6:00. There was also entertainment while we sipped our wine. And there were 3 ways to get a free breakfast. We tried them all. Edison Hotel is the only place I'd stay.

WOW! I never imagined a hotel in the heart of Times Square could be so amazing! Hotel Edison is incredibly classy and historic, yet very accessible and welcoming for families. The staff was everywhere and incredibly helpful. I came for business and loved the intense attention to detail in the art deco decor, the large beautifully designed rooms, the quiet (no NYC city noise), the high quality linens, towels and toiletries and the views. I rarely enjoy a hotel’s bars and restaurant but Hotel Edison has THREE - all incredible design, food/drinks and most importantly entertainment. I’m a jazz snob and was stunned at the quality of the live jazz in the Rum House, the fun singing waitresses at Friedman’s, and standup comedy at Bond45. Plus the huge historic lobby has wine tastings multiple times a week. They even have grab and go breakfasts in the morning. I could go on and on, but rarely I love a NYC hotel and I love Hotel Edison!

This was our first time visiting NYC and our experience couldn't have been better! The Hotel Edison was the perfect location for us to walk to everything we wanted to see in the short time we had. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff was great! I can't say enough nice things about the travel concierge (Rolando) who helped us figure out transport from the airport ahead of time as well as taxis in the city. He went above and beyond in helping us and was so extremely helpful, as we had my handicapped 81 year old father with us and had to accommodate this!!! It was very appreciated!! We loved NYC and would definitely stay here again!

Great location for this hotel, room was good but not great, certainly enough for a short stay. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Recommended for a city break.

Our annual girls trip was to NYC this year and we had 24 women stay in the house last week. We are a lot to handle, but every department we came in contact with was polite, helpful, and prompt to handle our requests and needs. The restaurants are fun and delicious. Make sure to check out the basement level as it is a gorgeous place to have a lovely drink. One of us left valuables in the safe and I have to say their security team, especially Jonathan Bracero we’re on top of it. Very accommodating and you cannot beat the location! We would absolutely stay there again!

Boutique hotel with small bedroom and bathroom (at least in our case) fine for a single or couple, but definitely not room for more than 2 people. No room fridge. Cutely decorated and designed hotel with a restaurant and a bar inside the hotel. Restaurant food is mediocre and high priced, but if you attend the Gayle's Broadway Rose dinner theater you'll absolutely not care about the cost of the meh food! The show is a must see!!!

Hotel Edison is hospitality at perfection!

Upon arriving with my broken shoulder and glum face, staff greeted us by asking if there was anything we needed to have a comfortable stay - their kindness was uplifting. Once we entered our room, we were impressed. We had a balcony room where we could see a glimpse of Times Square. Highly recommend the balcony room, as it is quite large with a great view. The room was immaculate, the bathroom was large with stylish wall tiles, had the thickest softest towels ever, and the shower had adjustable water flow/ pressure. There were two large closets in our room with Edison Bathrobes and the beds were fluffy and comfortable.
Another convenience of this hotel is that they have valet parking, which costs the same as it would to personally park in a garage. It takes 3-5 minutes to walk to Times Square and is directly across the street from the Barrymore Theatre.

All the staff is great but we wanted to give a special shout-out to Bellman - Fehat, and Manager - Luidin who treat all the visitors with class and respect.

I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to the Front Desk Receptionist for her exceptional service. She embodies beauty, patience, and genuine care. Despite facing challenges, she effortlessly secured a table for me at a restaurant and even sought assistance from her manager to ensure my comfort. Melissa, the receptionist, deserves special recognition for her outstanding efforts.

Furthermore, I was fortunate to have my room cleaned by Trina, a wonderful housekeeper with a warm soul. Her attention to detail and kind demeanor made my stay incredibly pleasant. Melissa's dedication to her job, along with her manager's support, resulted in a delightful surprise room upgrade. Their professionalism and commitment to customer satisfaction were evident throughout my experience. Overall, the entire staff's exceptional service guarantees my return to this establishment. Many thanks to these remarkable women for their outstanding hospitality!

The good and the bad.
The good:
-half a block from time square and all the subway stations are around.
-free grab and go breakfast is an egg and cheese sandwich with either a croissant or yogurt and water or juice or coffee.
EXCELLENT breakfast for being free.
-$6.50 for a variety of breakfast in the Friedman’s restaurant which is inside the hotel. You can get 2 eggs, potatoes, and a drink. Also, you can choose French toast or yogurt with cereal. If you choose anything else, you can be charged for it. Example: hot chocolate $7.
The bad:
-you have to pay $1 per luggage of your check out and want them to hold your bags.
-since you are half a block from time square, it is pretty noisy from inside the room, but we passed out from walking so much.

I would definitely stay there again with my wife and 3 kids.

My wife and I stayed here for a weekend trip. She’s never been to NY so this was the perfect location. It’s close to Times Square and has easy access to the Times Square-42nd St. Station which will give you access to trains going to any other part of the city. The room was small, but overall quiet and comfortable, the staff was nice, and we got breakfast vouchers for the restaurants inside. The grab and go breakfast from Bond 45 was our go-to. It was easy to check in, check out and we were coming and going with no issues. We really enjoyed our stay.

This was such a great hotel! The location is PERFECT. Just 2 minutes from the Metro and in the middle of all the fun of NYC. The hotel is beautiful and the staff were so nice. Stayed for two nights on a girls trip. The room was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. We had breakfast at Friedmans and it was VERY good. I would absolutely stay here again.

The hotel was adequate for a three nights stay in New York. It's located right between the two main streets in Times Square. They have two restaurants on property and they both serve breakfast however just a few steps down the sidewalk is an Incredible place that accepts the hotels food voucher as log as they're open and will give you incredible options. The lobby is a nice space to hang out and they have a vendor who has jewelry and mimosa throughout the day. I'd give the Edison a 10 stars we really enjoyed ourselves.

This is my third trip to New York at Times Square has always created a special place in my heart. With that being said, Hotel Edison is exquisite both in terms of location and its services. Staff members such as Josue have always strived to provide strong customer relationships and excellent customer service. I am looking forward to book at this hotel on my next trip.

Rooms were very nice but the toilet is very low. Like doing deep knee bends. Great maid service. Grab and go breakfast is okay if you’re in a hurry but it’s better if you pay the extra $6.50 and eat in the dining room.

First time in NY so booked Hotel Edison because it's super close to Times square and all amenities. The room was much bigger than we expected with 2 large Queen size comfy beds that the cleaners change daily 5*. The Grab and go breakfast is the same everyday which consists of 2 items and a drink choices from cooked breakfast roll and croissant or fruit or yoghurt and drink, water orange tea or coffee very nice just would be nice if they changed it daily.
The reception staff was extremely helpful and very polite and the bell boys very nice $2 to store stuicases for a whole day 😀 overall highly recommended really enjoyed our stay but please get the tv fixed in the room as couldn't connect to our phone or cast so limited on tv channels 😀
