We stayed the weekend and were very impressed. The motel is spotless. The room is spacious, has a refrigerator, microwave, and the bed was very comfortable. The owners are very nice and knowledgeable of the area. Very quiet, and safe place. Short walk to watch the sunset. Thank you for a lovely stay, we will definitely be back.

Stayed for a night during the summer & absolutely loved it! It's close to a really cool beach w/ a great view of lake Erie which was awesome. The rooms were very clean & the property was beautiful. As a female traveler, I felt super safe here which was definitely a huge plus! I was honestly shocked it was only about $90-$100 a night (amazing price for what you get).

The 3-Bedroom Cottage is the perfect get-a-way for just the two of us. The King-sized bed was perfectly firm, along with the pillows.
Clean Cottage. Actually . . . spotless. We've already booked our next reservation for early October. Spent our time sitting at the lake after our wine-tasting tours. Beautiful. The Pines Motel is an exceptional place to stay. The Innkeepers are a "blessing to this area," and just like a breath of fresh air you experience from Lake Erie, so too, are Natalie and Paul.

Such a cute, quiet place and right near the lake. I really enjoyed my stay! My room was super clean and cozy, and I liked the extra touches like soft towels and new quilts on the beds. I’ll definitely be coming back ☺

Amazing gem on lake Erie. Wish we could have stayed longer. Beach was fun and cabin was great. Clean accomodations and super owners on property. We'll back no doubt. Hidden gem for sure.

If you're traveling with dogs it doesn't get any better than this. The rooms were lovely, everything spotlessly clean. Much nicer than a chain hotel and plenty of places for walking your furry friends.

My family has been using the pines to visit Lake Erie since I was too little to remember. The location has wonderful amenities and is within a short walk to the beach. The beach has lots of sea glass and is a wonderful place to walk, have a camp fire, swim, and enjoy the sunset.

This is a lovely quiet remodelled 1950 motel. The pine rooms are very cute. 1950s rooms are a little tight if you have a family but very workable. It’s right on a great lake Erie beach, It looks like sand, but it’s actually a rock shelf. There’s no lifeguard on duty, swimming is at your own risk, but it’s a great spot for a dip on a hot day. If you’re coming from out of the USA, turn on your text since their checkin software, sends you details. I’m sure you could also call them, but as is becoming the norm, checkin and check-out or normally done with a text message.
Ripley is really quiet at night but there’s a very good pizza place in town and there are patio tables in front of the rooms. There is a love’s truckstop nearby with a Hardy’s restaurant. I recommend it.

Nice and cozy with a good view of Lake Erie. On a stormy night you can hear the waves crashing on to the shore. Very hospitable host. Quiet surroundings in the off season. Close to eatery's in the town of North East. Definitely will be back!

One of the coziest little places I've ever stayed at, and I travel often. For under $100, you get a nicely decorated room with nothing to complain about aside from relatively thin walls, a desire to be on the lake itself and a very small parking area. The old TV works with cable and adds to that classic feel. One of my new favorites for sure! The owners will even text you in a timely manner if you have questions.

Fantastic quaint cottages right on Lake Erie. Clean, spacious, and updated rooms, close to a cute town and a few great wineries. Friendly owners. We visited in the off season, looking forward to going back in the summer. If you are passing through or just need a weekend getaway or vacation this is a great spot.

This hidden gem on Lake Erie is just the place to relax and unwind. Cozy vintage rooms that were very clean, but the bathrooms need some updating. Owners were delightful and welcoming. They did inform me that updates are underway, excited to see on my next visit. Thank you again Paul and Natalie for a wonderful stay, will be booking my next visit soon.

The Pines Motel is truly a treasure. My wife and I stayed a night in the Rock 'N Roll suite and enjoyed playing some albums from their surprisingly good record collection on the provided turntable. The room was cozy and clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We will definitely be back.

This is a quiet, quaint, well tucked away place. Walk a short path to the edge of the lake and view a magnificent sunset!! Close to Northeast PA for all kinds of needs, grocery, wine, hardware, you name it. Good base camp for a winery tour. Paul (the owner) is super friendly and helpful. We were driving from Dalton MA to Columbus OH and wanted a place to stay overnight. What a gem! We would definitely make a plan to do the winery tour!! 6.5 hours from Dalton and 3.5 hours from Columbus. Easy access from I90.
