A terrific hotel for the price. The staff are lovely, very friendly and helpful. We had a room on the 2nd floor with two queen beds, and it was perfectly fine, not luxurious, but clean and comfortable. It even had a small fridge, which we didn't expect. The bathroom was newly renovated. The location is stupendous, and adorably, right in the middle of a block of wholesale flower shops so we walked through greenery every time we left or came back. You can't go wrong with this hotel.

- Clean rooms and very well maintained
- The breakfast buffet is really good and the staff is amazing
- Just a few minutes walk to 28th St Subway station which was a huge bonus.

Overall a pleasant experience.

Stayed here through the St. Patrick's Day / Spring Break time frame and it was a great stay. Would agree with other visitors that finding a room that is clean, roomy (my friend and I stayed and had separate queen beds), and has a microwave and fridge was a bonus!

The location was convenient and near a subway station, which made getting uptown, downtown, and everywhere in between easy. It's NYC -- so if you're expecting silence, visit the country...but for NYC, the location was chill and fairly quiet; we had no problem sleeping! The Garden District location made for a pretty view when walking around and smelled nice too.

The staff was awesome and helped us to navigate the subways like a local. A shout-out to Alex, in particular, as he broke it down for us on how to read the Google Maps subway details. (We're from Kansas and hadn't traveled via subways before...Alex was THAT HELPFUL and made it make sense without making us feel inept!) We were zip-zap-zopping all over Manhattan and Brooklyn with ease. Note to the manager -- Alex is the g.o.a.t.

All-in-all, I recommend this location and would go back.

I’ve stayed at a few different midtown hotels and this is by far my favorite. I’ve been twice now and only had positive experiences. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are comfortable and clean. It’s hard to find hotel rooms in NYC with a microwave and fridge so that’s a huge plus about this hotel for me. The location is great, close to a lot of spots but not in a super busy area so it’s quieter. I love walking by all the flower shops too. Bathroom is a decent size and tubs are clean with good water pressure. This will for sure be my go to hotel whenever I have to travel back to the city.

This hotel could not be better placed for visiting manhattan. Its close to the empire state and only a couple of blocks from penn station so if coming from jfk airport its an easy ride by public transport . Room was immaculate, warm and well equipped.

Excellent service - staff really friendly and eager to accommodate any requests.
Centrally located with subway and major department stores within walking distance. Enjoyed their breakfast…a deal in NYC.

Great location. We were for some reason surprised by this. But the hint is in the title, the place is surrounded by garden shops and florists which made it very nice. It’s also only a few blocks walk from the Empire State and then on to Times Square. All very walkable in the dry. Multiple nearby subway stops for when it’s wet. The staff were lovely from start to end. You could have a laugh with them which is important for Irish people. You could tell they liked being there and had some fun in their work, which sets a great tone. The room was bloody massive. We had 2x double beds and we were just a couple. Not a complaint. The TV had so much to watch, too. Shower was really good and the room had more amenities than expected. Hair dryer, fridge, iron, espresso machine, honestly I’m used to having 1 or 2 of these in a room but this was equipped to the max. The only drawback for me was that the room window let in a huge amount of noise and cold air. We tried everything with it but it seemed it was just a gap which we plugged with tissue for the remainder of the stay. This cut the noise level by about 30-40% and made sleeping easier. The bed was very comfortable too.

Perfect place to stay, especially for a first time trip to New York. Close to Penn Station and you can Uber to any place in New York from hotel. Clean and perfect!

Hotel lobby was very small. Staff at the front desk was extremely slow.. I arrived around 6 pm there was nothing at the hotel open so I can have a meal after traveling from another state. Room was nice and clean. I am alway happy when there is at least coffee water and a microwave.

Hotel was great, great location in quiet neighbourhood full of flower shops. Subway was on the block and on the walking distance. Staff was very friendly and informative. We had room for three (2 Queen size beds), there was enough space in the room, room was cleaned and towels were changed every day. Having a coffee machine in the room was a plus, coffee cups were also filed every day. We would recommend this hotel to everyone who is visiting NYC, this hotel was added value to our first visit.

Great location and very nice staffs, accommodated all my needs. The room contains a microwave and a fridge which is very convenient for storing food and drinks. Walkable distance to popular places, diverse choice of bakery, coffee and restaurants around the hotel. Stayed on the 12th floor, doesn’t really hear the outside traffic the only thing that is a bit loud is the AC. Felt welcomed by the greetings walking in and out of the hotel when the staffs are not busy. The only down part is that the mattress appeared a bit dirty and was not covered which doesn’t look very appealing.

Simple hotel room. Very well situated in the heart of Manhattan. Basically a 20 mins walk from most NYC attractions. Groceries, 7eleven, and restaurants/fast food nearby. I recommend

After staying here for 3 nights (Fri/Sat/Sun) over Labor Day weekend, we want to share with the world that the Hilton Garden Inn—Chelsea is FANTASTIC overall!
Our college-aged son & I shared a king bed room on the 19th floor, & 4 other family members shared a 2 queen bed room on a nearby floor. The 4 of them & the 2 of us were extremely pleased overall.
Our room was very clean, neat, more spacious than I’d anticipated.
There was enough floor space for our luggage without tripping over it, nice big window with a fairly spacious view of surrounding block’s residential & commercial buildings (not staring at a brick wall 6 inches away like many places in NYC lol!), excellent climate control (the Air Conditioning worked great during the heat wave NY was having).
Until now, I’ve never considered commenting on a hotel’s elevators, but they functioned so well that it stood out: I cannot remember ever needing to wait more than 10–30 seconds for the elevator. And we used them at all different times of day and night, & even at busy times they were readily available. They’re not huge, each holds ~4–6 people comfortably, 8 people if you squeeze in.
—Above average sized mini-fridge in room, ours fit 2–4 boxes of leftovers/food plus 4–6 cans/bottles of drinks easily.
Plus, we had an ice bucket that kept 2 drinks extremely well chilled at all times
—Microwave in-room worked great to heat up leftover pastrami sandwich for a midnight snack
—Keurig in room with a few Keurig cups of coffee, decaf, & tea. If I knew there’d be a Keurig, I might have brought my own k-cups (I involuntarily have a picky palate re coffee)
—Closet w ~ten hangers, one luggage stand, one spacious counter area under the TV, ironing board & iron, shower cap, blow dryer, little bars of soap, little bottles of shampoo/conditioner/lotion, big flat screen TV with remote, good-sized nightstands
—multiple electrical outlets & USB ports built in to nightstands
—free WiFi, we had no issues streaming on our devices
—adequate sized bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths, & bath mats
—I found our housekeeper the first morning, asked her for what we needed, & left a daily tip for her on the foot of the bed. Each day we came back to find our room looking fresh & clean. Tips work.
—there was no safe in the room to store our valuables, but if I’d really wanted to lock anything away, there was apparently the option to lock things with front desk. As far as I’m aware, nothing was stolen from our room.
—some reviews mentioned noise from the street or noise from other guests, even noise from the air conditioning, but the 3 nights we spent there we had zero noise issues.
—mattress was on the firm side, pillows were softly stuffed vs overstuffed
—-two small open shelves plus the countertop around the sink in the bathroom provided a good amount of space for our toiletries
—large tub with shower and above-average amount of open surface space around tub to hold our individual shampoo/conditioner/body wash/etc bottles, plus our razors, etc.
—2 bagged garbage bins in the room/bathroom, (changed daily), plus tall covered garbage bin in the hallway for any garbage that you don’t want to keep in your room until housekeeping can remove it & another large garbage bin in the lobby, plus a recycling bin in the lobby.
—there’s a good amount of seating available in the lobby than I had realized at first, and, we used the lobby seating more than I’d imagined we would
—hotel contracts with a private transportation company for getting to & from the airports, for example, & we were extremely pleased with this service compared to Uber. You can reserve it ahead of time, so it just felt more secure/more solid, & also felt more secure in the safety sense as well, and it cost about 10–15% lower than Uber cost, our driver was ready for us when we stepped off the elevator a few minutes before our scheduled time, I just felt like I was in a professional driver’s hands vs a side-gig driver’s hands
—little snack bar area in the lobby where you can buy various items 24/7
GREAT VALUE FOR NYC!!!

I was thrilled with this hotel. I’ve stayed at several Hilton properties and this has been my fave in NYC. The location is perfect - easy train access, not too far from down town or up town. And for the most part it smells great with all of the flower district shops! The room was nicely updated, spacious, and had lots of storage space for us. Housekeeping was great, everything was clean, and the staff was awesome. Highly recommend.

Really nice room, big enough considering the size of hotel rooms in NY! Very clean with good toiletries. The only thing missing was a shower cap. Staff was very nice, polite and helpful!

The check in was so fast, we were impressed! Even if we went earlier than the normal check in time, the room was ready!

The location is also amazing! Close to many things as a walking distance and the subway is right next to it!

We stayed at this hotel for two days and one night. We arrived earlier than our check-in time, and Johnmary and Michael helped take care of our luggage without any issues! It is located close to many subway lines so it is easy to get in the subway or walk around as everything is close by! I highly recommend on your next stay at NYC!

Loved my 7-day stay here! The location is awesome. I was able to walk or take the subway to all the spots I wanted to visit. And the neighborhood is relatively safe compared to areas near time square. The room is very clean and well maintained. Though the room is a bit small, it's totally enough for me and appropriate for New York city. It seems like the hotel was just remodeled or refurbished, so it's much newer than I expected. Long story short, I loved it!

Our 2 night stay was perfect, I was skeptical of booking based on reviews but Mo and the staff were great and the stay was without a problem. The rooms were bigger than I expected and very clean.

Great location that's close to many metro stations, we got the king high floor and was on the 17th floor and it was quiet up there. Everything was clean. The only thing that sucked was how loud the doors close, so the neighboring room where people were getting back in the middle of the night it was so loud it woke me up but I guess that's with every hotel.

Great hotel. Enjoyed my one night stay. No complaints. I'm so thankful that they allowed us an early check in, which we needed.
