Stayed for the weekend at the Cobble Mountain Lodge and absolutely loved it! Great location, less than a 5 minute drive to town and a quick ride to Whiteface Mountain as well. The rooms have everything you need- coffee, mini fridge, toaster and microwave in case you want to save $$ on dining out and use the appliances in the room to cook. The beds were so comfortable, and the room had a huge flat screen tv. We loved the fire pit at the center of the property, it was so cozy and relaxing at night to warm by the fire. The staff is friendly and accommodating; and the rooms were pristine and clean. I highly recommend Cobble Mountain Lodge for families, couples, or large groups of friends. We will definitely be back!!

Excellent location, easy to reach the mountain or town by free shuttle. Shuttle stops right in front of the hotel. Pleasant staff and welcoming atmosphere. The rooms are very comfortable and well-maintained, fire pit and bbq pavilion makes you feel instantly at home!

Visiting the Adirondacks for the first time, and excited to do several days of hiking in the area, my wife and I spent four nights at Cobble Mountain Lodge in early October of 2023. This place far exceeded my expectations!

The location was perfect for us; close to, but far enough away from, downtown Lake Placid. The lodge has a rustic-feel, but the buildings seem brand new and have very modern amenities. Our cabin was meticulously clean, super comfortable, and was stocked with everything needed for our stay. Vehicle parking was just outside the cabin, making it easy to load gear in and out when needed. On several nights, utilizing the wood-burning fire pits just outside the cabins, we made friends and had great conversations with other visiting guests while sitting in Adirondack chairs, that are in no shortage, all over the property. (Everyone we spoke to also had positive things to say about their stays at the lodge.) The lodge also had a propane-fed fire pit, which came on automatically for 5 hours every evening. We didn't utilize it, but it's just another example of the pride and attention to detail that the owners and operators of this property have for it. The practically brand new propane grills were perfect for cooking on our own, allowing us to enjoy more time outdoors, eating healthier, and saving money.

The staff of Cobble Mountain Lodge are extremely professional, kind, easy going, sincere, and seem genuinely happy to be working there. Seeming to not overlook any details, the staff seems to take pride in not only the appearance and perception of the lodge itself, but also that its guests are comfortable and enjoying their stay. A big THANK YOU to staff members Dianne and Starr, who unnecessarily went out of their way to help make our stay more relaxing and memorable. It's refreshing to know that there are still sincerely good people, like them, in the service industry, who want to make sure guests are having a great experience.

Cobble Mountain Lodge was a big factor in our unforgettable Adirondack vacation. I can't say enough about it, and am thankful that places like it still exist. I'm already looking forward to my next trip back!

A place that truly deserves a 5 star rating. We checked in at 11pm and it was seemless since we had informed them earlier that we would be late. The rooms were super clean and decent. The location is also close to the town center. Ample amount of parking and the gazebo was good. Definitely recommended if you are in this area looking for an accommodation.

We stayed at Cobble Mountain Lodge last weekend for Ironman Lake Placid. We picked the lodge because it was right on the bike course and just 1 mile from the swim start/finish.

There is a gas firepit and a real fire pit a little bit aways. There is a gazebo with picnic tables and a gas grill for grilling. We took advantage and it was great.

Our cabin was a one room cabin with a bunk bed, a small kitchenette and bathroom. It wasn't large, but it had plenty of space for our family. It was clean, the beds were comfy, and the kitchenette provided more than we had thought they would.

They had plates, cups, silverware, a toaster, blender, microwave and even a hot pot. We like to make our own food, and this was really nice to have.

The only strange thing was that the shower's handle was on backward/installed in reverse so when you went to turn on the hot water you could only turn it on 1 inch or it would go cold. The first day I turned it on and to what I thought was hot, except it stayed cold. So I turned it in reverse and it worked.

We definitely recommend this lodge.

1. Cleanliness: Everything was clean except there was splatter on the bathroom wall near the toilet. I’ll spare you my guesses as to what it was, but I’m omitting it as the rest of the room was spotless. Owners, if you see this, the above should be addressed in room 3.
2. Bedding/Room: Bed’s were comfy and the room was perfectly themed for The Adirondacks. Just know your bed sizes, because the room we stayed in had full beds not queens that you see in most places.
3. Amenities: We didn’t stay long and it was during the winter, but there were plenty of pretty gathering areas that took advantage of the view. They also had basic/simple breakfast and coffee in the main office. Pets are allowed with a fee.
4. Location: Beautiful view of some mountains from the front, main pavilion, and fire pit.
5. People: I only spoke with someone over the phone twice and they left welcoming notes in the room.

We've stayed at Cobble Mountain Lodge twice now and love it so much! You really can't beat the location- it's only about 5 minutes to the main strip in Lake Placid, but is far enough that it still feels peaceful and secluded! It's central to so many different things whether you're interested in nature, food, shopping... there's something for everyone and the views are gorgeous! The staff was so kind and helpful too- we were able to reach them at anytime (and via text which was a real plus!) The cabins and rooms are so cozy and very clean! There's also an outdoor firepit which is covered so if you visit in winter like we have you're still able to enjoy it! Hands down our favorite place to stay when we're in the area!

We had cabin 18 and loved this place. Nice and quiet, with grill and fireplace right next to the cabin. Friendly staff, just perfect. Many things to do in the area around.

Located about a 2 minute drive from downtown Lake Placid but still with plenty of privacy. We rented out cabin 18 for two nights. The inside was really nice. It had a loft with two full sized beds, master bedroom with a queen mattress, large bathroom with walk-in shower and marble countertops, full kitchen, and a living room with a fireplace. Cabin 18 also comes with its own private outdoor area with a fire pit and a grill. The lodge will provide you with firewood and a firestarter as well.

There are lots of reasons it was excellent, let me count the ways lol Pet friendly with bags and trash receptacles for doggie waste. Rooms were so cozy and very clean, beds are comfy! Staff is amazing, we met Star, Diane and Terri. We loved the outdoor fire pits and the nice adirondack chairs! Very close to town but feels like it's not, just a great place, we will be back. Hubby and I were there for my 65th birthday, and sitting around the fire we met such nice people. Thank you

I have been staying at this lodge for the past 2 weeks during the FISU games through my company. The hospitality has been amazing as has the cleanliness of our rooms. I highly recommend this location if you are visiting the area. Very close to town with a very rustic feeling.

Absolutely beautiful. Just outside of town. The staff here is super friendly and accommodating. The cabins are cozy, and I love the quick walk over to the golf course for a nice quiet walk, and the 3 fire pits they light nightly. We even sprung for a second unplanned night due to the location and comfort.

We stayed here for a quick weekend of hiking in the lake placid area. The lodge is nicely appointed with either small traditional rooms or cabins with kitchenettes for use.

We booked a room but got upgraded to a cabin. We found the cabin to be comfortable covering all the needs we have for a stay. We even have the option to cook on site or do some light cooking in room on either the grills or hot plates.

The staff was very friendly and even accommodated switching our reservation dates when we had an emergency and had to reschedule. Based on the location , the service and the price we will be back.

We had a wonderful stay here. Stayed in cabin #8, it was spaces and very clean. The kitchenette was well stocked with everything you could need. Beds were very comfortable. The staff was very friendly and proactive. We were arriving later in the evening and they reached out to us to ensure we had the door code so we could access out room right away. They were also very accommodating with us traveling with dogs. I would recommend a stay here for your next ski or hiking adventure.

We stayed for two nights (booked two cabins) this past weekend and loved it! Location is great, less than 10 minutes drive to Downtown, Mirror Lake, Lake Placid, and other attractions. If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet place to stay, this is the place! Great to spend time with friends and families outside home. They have firepits for smores, long table w/ benches to dine out, the cabin is clean and has almost everything you need such as kitchen utensils, microwave, stove, coffee maker, boiler etc. The ladies that work there are wonderful and accommodating! They really love to work there and makes sure their customers are happy. Especially Heather, You are amazing! Thanks for checking in on us, making everyone happy, and ensuring we enjoy our stay! I highly recommend! Will definitely go back and book the largest cabin for a family of three!

My husband and I stayed here, and we were impressed. Staff was friendly and accommodating, and available at all times. We stayed in cabin number 8 and it was adorable, and furnished with every thing we needed to stay. There is a great view of the mountains across the street, and main Street in lake placid is about 5 minutes away. We will definitely be back to stay here again sometime!

This cozy lodge is just a quick drive to downtown. We were blown away with how cute the cabin was! Was very clean and had everything we needed for the weekend! Only grip is that the parking spot was very very small and tight. Was very hard to get out of or into the spot. But overall this place is a charm and would 100% recommend it and will be returning!

I would have given 10 stars but that’s not an option!! OMG we love love loved our stay here. The cabins were amazing!! Very very clean!! The beds were comfortable!!! The shower has a lot of pressure and all the hot water you need! They have a huge pavilion for you to sit outside so you can enjoy the nice little fire pit. There are also two other fire pits on the premises. I highly recommend staying here!
