Crowne Plaza Lake Placid, an IHG Hotel

Very close to the Olympic Center. We walked back and forth to the rink for a tournament. Nicest tournament hotel experience to date. Very nice area. Really liked this hotel. Has that rustic lodge atmosphere that really makes for a unique experience.

First time visiting Lake Placid and I was pleasantly surprised with the location and views this property offers. Upon my arrival I was informed that there was a hockey tournament nearby and the hotel was filled with kids and teenagers, without even asking they automatically upgraded my room and moved me to a room away from all the kids. The room was amazing and totally unexpected. Jacuzzi tub, views of the lake, fireplace and a cozy cabin feel. I was so happy I booked an extra night. The pool is large and has a nice jacuzzi. The restaurant at the hotel was very nice and the food was great. I loved the fact that I could park my car at the hotel and walk to the quaint downtown and lake front. The town is adorable with a lot of shops, restaurants and activities. I’m looking forward to exploring the area more. I would recommend staying here.

We've stayed here 4 times, with a total of probably 3 weeks of vacation. Staff is excellent and helpful. The breakfast buffet is a great value. While the rooms are clean, the decor is a little dated imo.

This hotel is really nice. It is up on a hill so the views are amazing but it is still in town so you can walk to everything in the village. Everything was clean and well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are spacious and have balconies! Would highly recommend staying here if you are going to visit the area! will not disappointment

Amazing location, with a perfect view of Mirror Lake and White Face.

Beautiful property and great view of lake. Will stay here again! Building has aged but rooms are spotless and common areas well kept. Fireplace was a nice bonus. We loved how easily walkable it is to downtown Lake Placid, however the hotel is atop a big hill so if you are elderly or struggle with walking up a long, steep hill be careful if you plan on walking into town.

Very nice hotel on a hill overlooking Lake Placid. Safes in room. Breakfast is buffet or off the menu but either way it'll get you started on your day. The views from the lake facing rooms are fantastic. Everything else you might need is a short walk or drive away. Whiteface mountain is in the background when viewing the lake. Many outdoor activities are available just a short drive away.

Great placec to stay at Lake Placid. Close to the lake front main street where there are plenty of shops and restaurants. The room is clean and large. We had a very nice breakfast buffet there for usd16 only. Much better than any other breakfast place in the area.

Called to let them know I have COVID but I paid a nonrefundable rate months ago. Asked them if I could cancel and they said no we don’t mind if you are Covid positive. Really accommodating! Two words: Customer service!

Very nice, and good breakfast! Great pool/hot tub and rooms, with a gorgeous view. A stunningly Anirondack building with a beautiful mountain view. Would definitely recommend!!!

A very nice hotel with great views! Family friendly, and pet friendly. The staff was very friendly and welcoming.

The hotel restaurants had delicious food (we really enjoyed the breakfast buffet). But if the selection is not what you would like, the hotel is near so many eateries and shops that have other selections to chose from.

The kids (and adults) really enjoyed the pool and hot tub. The fitness center appeared very clean. We were sad to not have as much time there as we would have liked, as in past years we enjoyed going down to Mirror Lake and kayaking, visiting the Olympic Center, and going to local hikes in the surrounding area.

No other hotels in Lake Placid can rival the incredible accommodations, attentive service and array of amenities offered by the Crowne Plaza Lake Placid. Located in the Olympic village and adjacent to the legendary Olympic Center, our Lake Placid hotel offers a superb location for work and play.

Fantastic location, staff excellent, always pleasant with a smile on their face. Dinner and breakfast at the restaurant was perfect. Water pressure in the shower was awesome! Beds comfortable and the balcony overlooking Mirror lake and the town was beautiful. The back parking lot behind the Hotel also had amazing view of the mountains. Would definitely stay here again :)

This hotel really, really varies. Some rooms are very basic, and very boring. Nothing bad, at all, but they're just not cozy and lavish. The higher end rooms, in what I believe is the Adirondack wing, are outstanding. They have balconies, fireplaces, and sometimes hot tubs. Overall, this is cost effective and in a great location.

Fantastic hotel. The location is perfect for quick walks or drives into town, and the views of the mountains are lovely. The rooms are modern and clean. The Beautyrest mattresses are super comfortable (and I never find hotel mattresses comfortable). The ac cooled the room really well. The porch was great to sit out on and relax. Soundproofing was very good. Some parking spaces can be very tight, so we parked further away. Highly recommend.

Beautiful hotel in a great location. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I would say the decor is classic lodge style, not too modern but it fits perfectly with the area. We stayed in the Adirondack wing and the view from our balcony was gorgeous even though it was pretty cloudy and foggy during our stay. It was also very convenient to be able to walk down to Main St (even though the hill back up is a bit brutal).

My daughter and I stayed here for a few days and loved it! You cannot beat the views honestly. When we arrived, I didn't like where my room was situated on the first floor. I really wanted a pretty view to wake up to. The staff was kind enough to move us up to the 4th floor with a balcony...same price. If we wanted better views, it would've only been $20 more a night but we were fine. Rooms were clean, beds were very comfortable. Easy walk to downtown. It's on a hill so the walk up was tough, but nothing unbearable. The in-house restaurant had beautiful views you can't beat. If you're looking for a fantastic meal and diverse menu I'd probably try somewhere else, but sitting by the fireplace having a glass of wine looking at the mountains was wonderful. The staff was wonderful all over. We will definitely return! One thing to note, try picking a time of year when the lake isn't frozen. Lol Our mistake! Still worth the trip as it wasn't crazy crowded.

Awesome place that's clean and comfortable with great staff. I think the high prices help keep the liberals away. Never saw any neon hair or weird piercings. 10/10 will definitely visit again.

But hotel could do more on night sleep time noise from other guests, adjoining rooms, nearby rooms and hallways. You're paying for Lake Placid location. This hotel has the best view of the mountains and lake than any other.

Beautiful hotel with great service and views. The prices are a bit high in general but normal for Lake Placid. There’s a spectacular view of the mountains and lake. The location is a 10/10 and the whole hotel is beautiful. The pool area is nice and at a perfect temperature and the staff are all very friendly.
