Lake Country Crafts & Cones

Gotta say, my friend who took me here raved about the ice cream. She had cotton candy, which is the flavor she's gotten every time for probably 15-20 years (she finished hers in record time). I tried a cake flavor and a turtle cheesecake flavor. LOVED the cheesecake, but wasn't a fan of the cake (try it yourself, you may love it). But the staff were incredibly friendly and looked to be enjoying each other's company, and these are SINGLE SCOOP CONES! I LOVE how big the scoops are. Would definitely recommend this place and would certainly visit again to try some different flavors!
I will also say that I really liked the fact that it was attached to a store with a bunch of stuff to look at. We spent a good amount of time looking before we got our ice cream!

If your going there for an ice cream cone and want to get full off of it, all you need to do is order a small or one scoop....they are very generous and have a good selection of flavors.

Such a cute place. Whenever we are in Crosslake we love to stop here. The ice cream is delicious and the staff is great. We always get kid cones because they are still a great value. Highly recommend this place. Plus they have a bunch of stuff for sale in the store. All sorts of tourist-y and local made stuff.

The best for affordable coffee and friendly smiling service. Worth a stop and a sip with snack. Recommend muffin of strawberry rhubarb parfait for $2.29. Lake Country Light is favorite coffee for maximum caffeine and smooth flavor. Welcomes all middle class customers. Hang in there fellow Iowans! Go Laurens!

Best ice cream with very generous servings!

Came in with 10 people. Very friendly and fast service. Great ice cream and prices. Servings were HUGE!!!

Lots of ice cream flavors to choose from. Regular, cake and waffle cones. Lots of coffee choices too…and sandwiches and baked goods. Plenty of Knick knacks, home items, T-shirts and other goods, toys, postcards and more. You could spend the afternoon looking at everything in the store. Great place to visit.

Plenty of flavors to choose from, staffing was adequate and attentive. Pricing was what I would expect.

Lots more then ice cream as well. My kids decided to spend more of my money buying candy, shirts, stickers etc.

Very delicious waffle pep bon bon ice cream cone

We like to bike in to town and treat ourselves to a scoop of real ice cream. Hardest part (aside from the ride home) is what flavor to choose.
They have great wraps and sandwiches too at fair prices.

My kids call it the Yellow House and it's a family tradition to stop everytime in Crosslake. Adorable, great HS and College aged workers and huge ice cream!!

Fun place to get ice cream. They also have fantastic sandwiches. The crafts are fun to look at!

Everything I have ever tried, from their treats, to breakfast and lunch sandwiches, have been absolutely amazing!!! Their espresso shakes ( the "pick me up" is my favorite) are ridiculously good! Extremely friendly staff as well!! My favorite place in Crosslake by far!
