Meyer Family Vision

I absolutely love this place. My children and I enjoy our appointments. My youngest 5 was not scared and Dr. Nick and Dr. Sarah made him comfortable. Highly recommend!

I have lived away for quite sometime and just got back. I am so thrilled that the days of superstore eye doctors is over for me and I can go to Meyer Family Vision for my eye health, glasses, and contacts again. The staff is so friendly and professional. Kris even called to let me know there was an appointment 3 weeks earlier for me so I could get in right away. Dr. Ron is knowledgeable and thorough with explaining everything regarding my eye health and contacts. Overall it has always been a wonderful experience here. My mom started taking me here when I was in middle school and I hope to continue coming to this location for many years.

My husband and I both go here for about 5 years now and from the moment you walk in you are well taken care of. The receptionists, techs and docs are so nice and thorough. Love this place

We took our son there when he was experiencing head aches at school while reading. Dr. Ryan and staff were friendly, knowledgeable and took the time to do a thorough evaluation. Soon after my son got something in his eye while jumping into big piles of leaves.....back to the office... after hours! Great Service and would recommend them to anyone!

Fast and friendly service!

I have been going here for several years because of insurance and proximity to my home. I really like Dr. Sara even though it takes some time to get in to see her (waited 6 wks as an established client). My displeasure with going here is always a few of the other staff and their lack of customer service skills. There are a few that always look grumpy, no smile, no greeting or introducing themselves, etc. A few years ago, the staff was very pushy about me making a decision on what frames I chose while my eyes were dilated. I don't like picking out frames when I can't see what im looking at. I ended hating the frames. I went to pick up my new glasses (1st new glasses in 2-3 yrs) and the gal who helped fit them treated me like I was a major inconvenience in her day. She was rushing me, looked like she hates her job, instead of asking politely for me to move my hair out of the way, she gruffly stated, "I need you to move your hair." She didn't adjust my glasses fully. When I put my glasses on the last time she asked what I thought and I started to say they seemed a little off but curtailed my comment as I just wanted to move on with my day away from this grumpy person who clearly doesn't enjoy her career/job and her response was, "Yeah, they're okay." The tone of the "okay" was the issue. My glasses are sliding off my face but I am going to look into going somewhere else to get them adjusted, hoping the customer service is better (although I won't hold my breath, unfortunately). So overall, Meyer Family Vision, I guess you're 'okay.'

Receptionist was very short with me on the phone, She practically hung up on me. However she did help me with what I needed.

When I called to get a copy of my contact lens prescription, Meyer Family Vision refused to give it to me because I owed a small balance for the contact lens fitting (My insurance had covered the rest) and I offered on the spot to pay it. They refused to take the money, telling me that there was a "35% collection fee" and they now demanded more. I refused to pay the extra. I told their office manager that per HIPAA they had 30 days to comply with my written request for my health information which I would provide. Their office manager told me that the contact lens exam was not a part of my medical record. I told her that I believed she was mistaken.
"Well dear," she said, "We have been doing this for years." I again offered to pay the balance, and was refused again. I told her I was going to give them a poor review and she laughed and said I'd be banned from their office for life. At this point I told her I was recording the conversation, and she hung up on me. The docs there do a GREAT job, but their office manager is the reason for this review.

EDIT: Received an e-mail today from Office of Civil Rights, in which they have determined that Meyer was in the wrong.
How many other people have they done this to?

Horrible. Went in to get contacts. Obviously I was nervous but the girl doctor screamed at me and told me to "either let me stick the contacts in your eyes or get out! Don't waste my time, people put contacts in everyday" keep in mind, this was not comforting to someone who has anxiety. I'm not exaggerating when I say she screamed at me either. You are professional, you should not yell at a teenage girl who is obviously nervous. I don't think I will go back there.

Had appointment to get my eyes checked, I’m in the nursing home and in a wheelchair and was a little late and they said they can’t take me because of that. But they must have used my appointment time to good use. Will never go there again.
