Amazing experience from start to finish. They were able to give me an exact quote over the phone with the measurements I have. Someone came out promptly to measure within a couple days and my shower door was installed within a week and a half. Best prices in the area as well. Would 100% recommend and use again!

“Very Happy “ with the choice btw. I gave her the exact measurements of the tile openings, then they did their stuff coated to perfection. Everything fit excellent very happy how they turned out.
The only minus I would say are the long screws that go into the wall I think they could be bit longer / better quality nbd.

I love both of my doors (installed 6 years apart). I just had to call about a little maintenance needed (deep cleaning needed about 6+ years of daily use) and they were kind enough to talk me through it avoiding a service call, and fee.

I have a shower that has been giving me trouble since I bought my home (I did not purchase the door through The Shower Door Store). Over the years I'd ordered some parts through them to try and bandaid the issue. Eventually i got tired of it and one of their employees had a very long email exchange with me to determine the root cause and come up with a solution. I had spent a grand total of about $20 on parts over the years and they still took the time to find what turned out to be a no cost solution for me. A+ for customer service when they certainly didn't owe me anything.

Absolutely love my shower door! The look and quality of our door is just the best. I can't say enough about how great the installation and service was from the beginning to the end. Terrific!

(March 2020) I am updating my review (below) from a over three years ago.

After using this product daily now for quite some time I must say that it is excellent. I am very pleased with how it has performed over the years--there has been no corrosion, no hardware failures and it still looks like new. We use a hand-held squeegee after use and the enclosure remains pristine. (Another tip: use a shower jell rather than bar soap.)

I have upgraded my review from three to four stars but the reason it's not five is the problems and delays I had in shipping (outlined below). As for performance and serviceability, this is an outstanding product.

I ordered a shower enclosure on July 24th, 2006. The merchant advertises that orders will be shipped in 5 business days and this may be the truth but because they use a commercial freight company the items won't arrive for another week (two weeks total).

When my enclosure arrived, two of the three pieces of glass were shattered. It is my belief that this happened because both pieces were packaged in the same box.

I contacted The Shower Door Store and they agreed to reorder the glass once the damage report from the shipper was received. Again, it took two weeks for the replacement pieces to arrive.

When I began construction I discovered that there were four railing parts (top and base pieces) missing. There was no specific BOM included in with the shipment, this added to the confusion. I contacted The Shower Door Store regarding this and was told they would contact the manufacturer. Three days later I contacted them again and was, again, told they would contact the manufacturer and call me right back. I did not receive a call, so two days later I called them again. This time I was told that the parts would be shipped the next day. These parts came via UPS ground in reasonable time but the total delay in receiving was another 2 weeks.

Regardless of the delays, the final product is very nice. While constructing the enclosure I was impressed by the accuracy of the parts--everything fits exactly. I did purchase additional fasteners at Home Depot for some parts but this was due to the construction of my house and the thickness of my walls. I also installed additional fasteners holding the door hinge in place. The instructions are not as good as desired and instructional videos (either on YouTube or provided on a CD) would be nice.

One last note: This is not a project for the faint of heart. I consider myself a very skilled "weekend warrior" and cabinet maker. This is a complex construction job were mistakes could be disastrous. Don't try constructing one of these unless you have a lot of confidence in your skills.

The shower as a product is beautiful, installation was kinda smooth, had to fix with some sealant so it wouldn't leak for not being sealed completely after installation. Compared to other shower enclosure installers they weren't backed up, which worked out for me at the time, but I guess that's a bad sign. Had to call for warranty repair once before and they were out in a quickly matter. The repair guy was friendly and was out of the house in no time. So why the one star for not that bad experience for a year and half since it got installed? Customer service... the customer service when we called last week is very interesting. Interesting as in how it reminds me all past customer service experiences are far superior.

The Shower Door Store sadly will drag on an issue till it's so dead. Going as far as saying, "We won't apologize till you take down the review on our Facebook." After 49 minutes of another interesting talk with Mike the owner, it is clear that I don't want to spend money to fix the broken shower door with them.

The customer service at The Shower Door Store will usually complain and vent to you, blaming you or not believing what you say. I don't care if you believe me. The whole point with customer service is to make sure the problem doesn't escalate. A good customer service rep would try to make sure you're happy while listening to you and apologizing for the experience you had, no matter if it's the customer's fault. After kindly listening and making sure everything is alright with the customer, usually the rep will problem solve with the customer. Yet The Shower Door Store does the opposite, they push back the customer to a corner and making the customer go into defensive mode because of the blaming from the rep.

I knew the door wasn't covered under warranty to replace it. I knew I would have to spend money to replace it. I was expecting to spend that money with The Shower Door Store, maybe even the downstairs renovations would have been great business for them too. But after the whole experience I am refusing to be a customer of The Shower Door Store.
