The home fries are amazing, have a blend of spices on them that bursts in your mouth.
Their sourdough toast also has a savory heady flavor that lasts far longer than when you are eating them from.
Overall a very enjoyable experience, I would suggest going again, next time the omelet looked tasty so that is the next try.

The Golden Rooster is a main street kitchen: The service staff move fast, but stop to chat; breakfast comes out hot and tasty, no matter how busy it is; and my coffee cup somehow managed to be always magically filled✨: Bonus, they have gluten-free toast. 😊

My family and I ate at The Golden Rooster three mornings ago after staying in Old Orchard Beach. The food was GREAT! I had my first omelette here and it was off the chain. Great portion size and very flavorful. The best crispy fresh Pepsi to go with it too. I definitely recommend eating here and want to come back in the future.

Ok, I may be biased as I'd consider the Rooster my local, but there's a good reason I'm drawn to it. The food is consistently fresh and always tasty. Everything is made from scratch and tastes like home. Staff are all super friendly, and there's always good company to be found at the bar. Above all, it's a proud locally owned business and has worked hard to deserve the support it gets from the community. Undeniably the best place in Saco for breakfast, and they serve lunch and dinner too.

My wife and I visited the Golden Rooster for the 1st time today. Friendly staff, nice seating area with a small bar in front. Both of our meals were very good. I had the Country Chicken with mashed potatoes, biscuits and gravy. Very reasonably priced. We will be back to try breakfast.

We went here with a party of 11 which is a large group and we were told the wait would be 20 minutes or less and we waited for about 40 minutes to get a table. Some more transparency would have been nice cause there an abundance of breakfast places in the area.

Great breakfast food for the 4 of us. Crab cake Benedict, Irish Benedict, hash...all delicious! Waitress was super personable and good at her job. Will be going back!

Food is fresh and plentiful, worth the minimal wait time that is to be expected most places on a weekend for a breakfast diner. Staff all seemed happy, and worked well together. Our server Lauren A, was amazing with an awesome humor.

Hollandaise sauce heaven. I can vouch for breakfast.

I had the lobster eggs Benny it was packed with lobster and the eggs were cooked perfectly. My husband had the seafood omelette. The seafood was cooked perfectly and tasted so delicious. Our service was fast and our server Mary was excellent we will definitely be making the 2 hour drive to eat here again.

Service was fast and efficient!! Food was delicious the corned beef hash was The real thing not doctored up canned stuff, the coffee was good and the home fries were cooked and there were some yummy crunchy one they had great seasonings on them very flavorful we will be going back!! Wait staff were very helpful and right there if you needed or to check if you needed something but they didn't hover!!!

I always love coming here. The greek owner is a great guy, the waitstaff terrific, love the food, definitely a spot that locals are regulars at. If you come here and want to try something new, get the spinach pie eggs Benedict, it's awesome. They also renovated the place!

I'm glad we randomly chose this place for breakfast. It's a crowded place but the food was excellent and the service was fast and friendly. Well managed establishment.

Laid back fast and delicious, especially if you're looking for unique crepes. You cannot find anywhere else in Maine.

We always enjoy coming here when we stay at our seasonal. Sadly we just closed up for the year, but did visit on Saturday. Food is good, service is great and the atmosphere is fun. We always recommend. We will see you next year!

Awesome breakfast. The homemade hash is amazing. I love it crispy with cheesy scrambled eggs. The owner Chris and his staff are great people. We'll be back.
