This has been one of my go to places. Is it fancy? No. Does it have the best burgers? Yes. Are the staff great yes. So today I went in after being gone most of the summer... OMG ROOT BEER ON TAP! Yes the kind of root beer you went to get at the local stand after a day at the beach. The kind you can't get in a bottle or can! BTW They also added ginger ale on tap!

I may have a bit of a love affair with this place. It's truly one of those local, cozy establishments that we're all looking for: perfect lighting, not too big, lots of history, and a memorable experience. The food is excellent, with the burgers being the absolute star of the show. The staff there is super friendly and welcoming, and the whole place is impeccably clean and tidy. It's a regular favorite of mine now, and I can't wait to share it with others. Don't forget, this is a CASH ONLY establishment, but there is an ATM on site if you need it.

Very chill and the bartender really makes sure your drinks are good. She made sure to come and ask the table. I haven’t had the food yet, but I’ve heard good things.

We ate here on a weeknight, fairly early (around 5:00, 5:30). They were moderately busy and there was only one wait staff person working. She seemed a bit overwhelmed at first, but we received good service and food. The prices were also very reasonable, we'll stop by again for a dinner before we leave the area.

Stopped here for dinner while i as in town and had one of their pork tenderloin sandwich's which was amazing. I have had this sandwich elsewhere and it was either dry or way too big . This sandwich was a perfect size and I also added fries. the fries were done to perfection which I haven't had a perfect fry in a while. The server we had was very personable and funny and took my humor with a smile and I loved her attitude. I will come here every time I am in town. The price was was less than I would have paid, price very fair

This place is great! Best burgers in Berrien County! Thick & meaty! The prices are so so extremely reasonable!

Its not the easiest place to get a wheelchair through, but the food and the service was top notch. My daughter ordered me a bacon cheeseburger, and it was phenomenal. Our server I believe was working all by herself. She was amazing.

To my mind this is simply the best bar burger in Berrien County; bacon and cheese deluxe with everything. The staff is super friendly and the prices are ridiculously low. Rumor has it that this is also the place where Tommy Shaw of Styx wrote the song 'Too Much Time on My Hands' waiting for his wife who was a Niles, Michigan girl. There's no plaque but if you watch the music video for the song, you can see it. The Tavern is good, fast and cheap. Try it! You'll love it...

First time here and definitely going to be back. Brenda the chef did an awesome job with my burger. So fresh and juicy. And the cocktails were spot on.

Local, cash only bar with great bar food and... drink. Small dive bar that'll bring you back.

I'm surprised it took me this long to write a review but we probably eat here almost once a week at work and the food is always great, fresh and made right.

One of the best things I love about this place is the fries are nice and fresh and NOT soggy when getting carry out. I can't stress how important this is.

Very intimate location. No mask rules. No extra dividers and CASH ONLY. Had a burger and it was pretty excellent. Prices are really low for the quality of food. Not many places to sit but they also have a pool table that runs on quarters... what?! 😄 Go here. Get a burger and a drink. Be entertained by the people at the bar. Good time.

great food for the price. burgers were spot on. hats off to the cook. looks small on outside but is fairly roomy inside.

3 double amazing cheezeburgers 🍔 large hit crispy fries! 2 cold pitchers of miller lite on tap. Life is good! Oh yea, nice pool table for some friendly competition!

I love their Cheeseburger w/ everything and deluxe. I order for lunch or take home dinner a few times a month. Cash only. Delicious. I think it’s the best burger in Niles.

Best place in town for a cold beer burger and pool

I ordered a bacon double cheeseburger. It was taller than I could open my mouth and fantastic! This is a local bar that serves bar type fare. It's not fancy, but it's clean and inviting, and the food is good. They also have a bar sized pool table. It is cash only but they do have an ATM. I could see myself becoming a regular here.

The best burger I've ever had and at a decent price. My son kept suggesting I stop there and I'm glad I did. The corn nuggets earn bragging rights as well.
