Taqueria El Primo

El Taco Parado holds a special place in my heart. I first visited this wonderful spot when I was younger, and their spicy burrito quickly became my all-time favorite. The burst of flavors and the perfect blend of spices left a lasting impression on me.

After leaving the country in 2001 and returning recently, I had promised myself that the first thing I would eat was a burrito from El Taco Parado. To my delight, their food has remained just as incredible as I remembered. The nostalgia and memories of my teenage years came flooding back with every bite of their delicious burrito.

What makes El Taco Parado even more special is their welcoming atmosphere. Yes, they only accept cash, but it's a small price to pay for such an extraordinary culinary experience. Their burritos are gigantic, amazingly delicious, and worth every penny.

If you're looking for an authentic, mouth-watering burrito, I highly recommend El Taco Parado. It's a place that brings back cherished memories and continues to deliver fantastic food.

Very flavorful quesabirrias and consome, my first time trying quesabirria in this area and definitely NOT disappointing. Recommend if your in the Waukegan area!

Ordered a dozen tacos and a middle size Guacamole🥑 total price plus tax is only 19.75$! Those tacos are just delicious! Especially the pork tacos, crispy and juicy, yummy! 😋 Highly recommended! I’ll definitely come back.

I just ate my tacos and freaking delicious! By far the best in the nearby area. Don't just believe me go and see dor yourself! Also love how they use pineapple in the chorizo for the quesadilla

I did an order of 3 taco platters the morning of an event via Facebook messenger & it went incredibly. The communication was perfect throughout the day. The tacos were the best part of our event and each guest asked where the food was from - a huge success. Would definitely order from here again. Great food for good price. I really like the “al pastor” and “cecina” meat. It’s a small place so it’s better for take out and not so much for dining in.

Just started working in this area. I’m trying new restaurants and dropped in here. Their staff is friendly, service is fast, food is delicious, and prices are great and reasonable.

This is the only place in town with tacos for $1.75 and they are delicious, the taco dinner is 7.99 and comes with 4 tacos + rice/beans, the burritos are 5.99.. can't beat the value and it is locally owned this place is caring, affordable, right across from the highschool for students to get an affordable and filling lunch and I want to thank Taco Primo for being here for the community

Seriously good food at wallet-friendly prices. I got the carnitas and had to pull myself out of there not to get a second serving. Definitely stop by on a weekend.

Great tacos at a good price. Take out from here was easy to order and the food was ready by the time we picked up.

The best tacos in Waukegan!

I work in Waukegan a lot so I’ve tried every taco place around here. This is the best and the newest one. I’ll be back again every time I pass by.
