A hidden gem in rural Southern Illinois. Friendly and welcoming community, fun tournaments, and reasonable prices. Would love to visit again sometime.

The best place in the area for comics, collectables, miniatures, CCG's and more. The store owner and manager treats you like a guest, and is ready to assist you on finding whatever you want. If he doesn't have it, just ask if he might be able to order it for you.
Friendly and peaceful atmosphere. A place where respecting one another is highly encouraged and disrespect is not tolerated.

I loved my experience here today. I WILL be coming back. Friendly atmosphere, knowledgeable owner, good stock at very reasonable prices. Coming from Indiana to this store is night and day in comparison. Might just be my new home store!!

The owner was prepared right from the beginning of our entry to offer us masks as we had forgotten ours in the hurry to get to the place, so knowing he was prepared so we didn't have to go back just for our masks and then back again to the store was good business acumen on his part. Furthermore, he was adept at seeing to my needs and the reason for my stop at his store with ease, and managed to set us so at ease we bought more than planned for this short excursion. The store was plenty clean and neat, and I look forward to the day when the self imposed halt to fri nite MTG Game Nites is lifted and I get the chance to play in their fairly large back rooms all set with tables n chairs and geared for magic or other gaming I'm sure as well; overall for being in lil nothing burg of olney Galactic Games & Things is great to have, and right around the corner from my place too!!

This shop is amazing! The owner has a great selection and was very knowledgable about what was up and coming. We'll be back and we'll bring our nerdy friends! 🤩 I highly recommend a visit!!!

Galactic is hands-down the best LGS I have ever had the pleasure of visiting.
Owner Zach is incredible and kind, and he remembers everyone and everything they're interested in. The shop has an incredible selection of comics and books, painting supplies, board games, and card game and TTRPG supplies.
I haven't been able to attend any events at the shop, but they have plenty of space in the back for a pickup game of whatever you're into.
Shipments come in regularly, so there is always something new to look at. Zach has even been so kind as to special order me things I've been specifically looking for.
This shop is an absolute gem. If you're into comics, collectibles, TCGs or TTRPGs, put this one on your list!

I never noticed that I hadn't left a review. This place is great. Zach will go out of his way to get obscure items if you visit regularly. Prices are about as low as you'll find and he actually learns about the products he's selling.

Excellent store. Zack is not just the owner, he is passionate about what he sells. Always hosting games and is eager to take time to visit. Has a large Warhammer and Dungeons and Dragons selection of books, paints, kits, and miniatures.

If you want hard to find Yu-Gi-Oh! or other gaming supplies this is the place to stop. We'll worth the 3.5 hour drive.

What can be said about Galactic Games and Things? Well quite a lot actually. The store owner is a very well accomplished business man and knows how to keep attracting customers back. A really friendly guy who takes care of his customers The Magic: The Gathering tournaments are rather fun and the people are always friendly there. No one gets angry or verbally aggressive, and over all it runs smoothly. There are many comic books to choose from and also figurines to collect. The store also has many table top games to further your gaming experience. It also has plenty of board games to choose from so one simply does not get bored. If there is a game or figure you want, then the owner can try to get it for you. Gift wrap unfortunately not available. All in all the best place to play MTG in southern Illinois. 12/10 would visit again

A great little treasure in Olney. Wide range of selection you can spend a while browsing. The owner is very chill and open with people. Feels more like going to visit your cool older cousin then a store.

Honestly best place I’ve ever been. Every time I come in the owner Zack is as nice as can be and always knows how to help if you need it. You can tell he’s really passionate about what he sells. I would still go to this place even if they had the world’s largest Hobbytown next to it.

This place was awesome! There were wall-to-wall comics and games of every type you can think of. This was my 1st visit but most certainly will not be my last. I look forward to coming when I can spend more time to really dig in to see all the awesome inventory. Thank you very much for a great experience!

Of the comic and game shops I have visited, Galactic Games and Things is by far the best. The owner is incredibly friendly and maintains a clean, welcoming, positive atmosphere in the store. Prices are reasonable, and he stocks a wide variety of merchandise. If you're a fan of comics, games, and pop culture visiting Olney, definitely stop into Galactic Games and Things!

One of the best stores I've been too. Great people, great environment, great items. Wish I could work there with them. Great for D&D. They even refunded me when I couldn't find a use for what I bought. I love them, they are so very kind

Love this place! One of my favorite places to go. Good friends and fun things to do and check out there. Can't say enough great things about this place and it's owner Zack. If your in the area and like comics and such, it's the place to go!

It's one of the few places around that's sells manga, also they got some cool stuff there and the staff is good, no complaints
