Holiday Inn Express & Suites Chicago - Hoffman Estates, an IHG Hotel

We worked with Dee to reserve a block for eleven families staying nearby for a high school robotics competition. What a great choice for our needs! Location is excellent, staff is warm and friendly, the rooms are very clean and well appointed, and the hot breakfast offers something for everyone. The setup was just what we needed. I had multiple parents comment about the excellent choice of a hotel for our team. Thanks for making me look like a hero just for choosing the hotel!

I stayed at the Hoffman Estates location for 10 nights. Everything from day 1 to day 10 was an absolute 10/10.

The gym was one of the most equipped hotel gyms I’ve used, most days opting for the hotel gym over my planet membership. The breakfast was amazing, with lots to choose from. They even had egg whites scrambled eggs, which I loved.

The rooms are so well thought out. I travel for business therefore wear a lot of business suits, the open plan wardrobe area is perfectly for lining up your outfits and keeping everything organized.

Staff wise, the staff were always super friendly. The night porter was a hoot, too. So welcoming and make sure to put a smile on your face as you walk out the door each day.

Would recommend for both business trips & family stays due to pool and no loud noises.

I had an amazing short experience. The two ladies working the front desk when I checked in were very professional, patient and super friendly with me.

My room was fantastic is all aspects. Very clean, sheets, pillows and bed were all very comfortable and most importantly, fresh and clean..

Breakfast was excellent as well. I had their cheese omelette, two sausages, a biscuit washed down with an orange juice. Everything was scrumptious!!!

This hotel made for a relaxing, comfortable, and enjoyable weekend stay! The room was super spacious and the beds/bedding were extremely comfortable. All staff I encountered were great as well. Highly recommend!

Fairly new, (3 years old) Holiday Inn in a nice quiet area. I will definitely go back. I love clean and new and this place was both.

Stayed for one night and was quite impressed. We has a quiet, standard king room with a view of the prairie. The bed and linens were soft and comfortable, and the room was both updated and sparkling clean. Blackout shades were effective. The heating/cooling worked well and wasn’t overly loud. I really liked having a bathroom with a traditional door instead of a sliding door— much quieter and more private. Ample outlets, including Type C/Type G universal outlet on the desk lamp.

Breakfast was well stocked and had some basic hot options. Staff were readily available to help as well. Overall, a fantastic hotel experience for this price point.

A solid value for a fresh clean room.

Built in 2018, this hotel property still seems shiny and new. I paid $122 for a room here on a Wednesday night in August, 2023. I booked through the IHG app. The location is close enough to the freeway for easy ingress and egress, but, not so close that you might notice the noise, and lights of the freeway.

The free outdoor lot parking is very plentiful and close to the hotel.

The check-in process was courteous, quick, and straightforward. They do ask you for your car license plate number, so, bring that with you upon check-in.

The room was well-cleaned, and well put together. The feather pillows on the beds at most Holiday Inn Express hotels are a nice touch. The mattress was not too firm, and was comfortable enough for one night’s sleep on the road.

There aren’t many restaurants within close walking distance, but, I knew that before I booked the room. There is a YUGE Cabela’s outdoor sports super store on the next block with a large freshwater aquarium, and it could make a very entertaining browsing and shopping experience.

There is a marshy area next to the hotel if you’re into birdwatching.

The wi-fi didn’t work well at all, and that’s one item that could have been better.

The fitness center had treadmills, elliptical machines, and a stationary bike, and dumbbells, towels even.

The indoor pool was nicely heated, and would be a nice treat even on a cold winter’s day. It is accessible with a machine to help differently-a led folks use the pool.

The shower in the room had decent water pressure, but it wasn’t excellent.

The breakfast service here was a pre-pandemic quality full hot breakfast service, including veggie omelettes and turkey sausage, fresh fruit, cinnamon rolls, and the pancake machine was most definitely working this morning, see video.

Checkout was quick, easy, and seamless through the IHG app.

Very good service and Close to various attractions. 5 min to Shopping and dining as Well as Entertainment. Will Go there agin wegen in town for Sure. 50 min to O'Hare without risknof Traffic Jams !

Super clean hotel. Nice staff. Good selection for continental breakfast. Prime location close to high end restaurants, a Main Event venue, lots of shopping. Pet friendly hotel. We had a wonderful 3-4 day stay. Will definitely book again.

Very convenient and an excellent value - beds were soft, water was instantly hot when needed, breakfast was free - very midwestern biscuits & gravy with eggs & sausage - no complaints. Pool could’ve been a few degrees warmer since it’s obviously not a lap pool. It still made for a good workout if you use the water for resistance training and do laps 100% underwater.

New facility, I like the ambiance, and a really clean environment. Polite staff.
Complimentary breakfast was awesome 👌, though the menu is limited, it served the purpose. My 8 year old daughter enjoyed the breakfast. The front desk is very polite.

Nice & clean hotel. Pool was fun for the kids, breakfast was OK but missing some items/had to ask for them to ve refilled, which the staff promptly did. Staff was super friendly, especially the guy at check in. I live in the area and would def reccomend friends & fam from out of town to stay here.

This location was shockingly easy to find! My GPS took me right to it. Parking was super convenient. The staff were all very warm, welcoming, and helpful. I don't think I passed a single staff at the front desk, breakfast area or even in the hallways that didn't say hello or asked if I needed anything. The breakfast area was clean, well-stocked and well kept. The room was very comfortable and quiet, I don't think I heard a single other guest aside from the occasional door shutting in the hallway. I would return here for business or pleasure. Everything was very modern, up-to-date, and comfortable. Thank you for making my stay so enjoyable!

From start to finish the hotel was friendly, clean, and the rooms were large and breakfast delicious.

They have a pool, washer and dryer, meeting room, fitness room (which is awesome), a little shop next to the front desk to purchase items allowing you to be able to spend more time in your room, which is nicely convenient. Access doors from front back and both sides of hotel (key card needed for entry at all doors except entry doors obviously).

Absolutely wonderful stay! The staff made us feel at home and were amazingly helpful and kind. The hotel is clean, has a ton of room in lobby for working and visiting. The beds were super comfortable and it's pet friendly too. I would stay here again!

This hotel is brand spanking new. It still has that new carpet smell in the hallways and everything is as pristine as can be.
Rooms are spacious and well kept and bathrooms are big and clean. The shampoo, conditioner and body wash are integrated into the shower design to cut down on waste which is nice. They are all rose scented which is subjective but good to keep in mind if you are sensitive or do t want to smell like potpourri.
There is a small heated 4ft pool with card access.
A decent complementary continental breakfast is available in the morning until 9:30 am. And is supervised by staff who is kind and attentive so if you need anything let them know.
I was situated across from the stairwell and could hear every time someone opened the door to the stairs, through my door pretty clearly but walls and ceiling seemed well insulated.
A very good deal overall and good place to park the kids to let out some energy.

The pool is freezing cold, but the rooms were nice, staff was awesome, breakfast had a decent variety. Would have loved to see more dairy free/gluten free breakfast options like Cheerios and almond milk, but overall it was great.

We stayed in the hotel for 2 nights over Christmas. It was so cold outside so we needed a place my preschooler could get her wiggles out - and we could not be happier! The hotel is new and so clean! Good soundproofing. Amazingly comfortable beds! Suite has a nice couch and table, which made having meals in our room comfy. Sparkling clean bathroom, spacious mini fridge. And of course the reason for our 1 hour drive from Chicago - the pool that we got to use 4 times (between us and our friends who also booked a room) during out stay. Having the pool to ourselves for 40 minutes, and knowing it's fully aired out and wiped down between each party was great! Breakfast was really nice for a "grab and go" (especially when I compare it to the skimpy baggy we got at Hilton back in May), they even had breakfast sandwiches. Great restaurants nearby which we could not enjoy as it was Christmas, but will check them out next time we stay there. We'll definitely be back. The staff could not be more accommodating or kind at this hotel. From the wonderful woman I booked with being so understanding and giving us flexibility on our arrival time to a front desk staff member allowing me to borrow a personal lighter to light a birthday candle, this stay could not have been more flawless. The rooms are clearly brand new and so clean, the pool is sanitized between guests, the snacks available include nutritious options - everything was just excellent. Thank you so much!
