TownePlace Suites by Marriott St. Louis Edwardsville, IL

One of the better properties I have stayed in the Marriott chain. Great gym, good breakfast and several options for dining and entertainment within short distances. Will definitely be staying here again when I am back this direction

Check-in and check-out was easy. The rooms were clean and the staff was very nice. The pool and other common areas were also clean. The kitchenettes are well stocked with the things you are likely to need but the hotel is close to restaurants and shopping as well. The hotel has a very small convenience store at the front desk also.

Room was very clean and comfortable. The room set up was a little different, as the closet was placed inside of the bathroom vs. outside (minor preference of mine). The hotel breakfast was decent, and the hotel staff were friendly. Also, located by alot of stores and restaurants.

This was my first visit to TownePlace Suites in Edwardsville, IL. My husband & I stayed for 1 night (a Friday) in a queen bed suite & paid $228.85. This was a complimentary upgrade from a king bed studio, thanks to my Gold Elite status.

ARRIVAL/CHECK-IN/ROOM: We arrived around 7:30 PM, & it took < 2 minutes to get checked-in. Prior to arrival, I contacted the hotel to request a quiet room on an upper floor. We were grateful to have been assigned corner room #521.

• Amenities: Almost anything you might need, except for a luggage rack.
• Bath: Plenty of hot water & good pressure; hair dryer available.
• Bed: Comfortable bed; we appreciated there being both soft & firm pillows to choose from.
• Cleanliness: Very clean; however, the carpet could use a thorough vacuum.
• Decor: Standard
• Heating/cooling: Worked well
• Sound: Interior was very quiet, but you can hear traffic (not bothersome to either of us).
• TV: Clear picture, plenty of channels & streaming capabilities.
• View: Nothing to note
• WiFi: Strong

DRINKS/FOOD:
• We skipped the free breakfast offered

CUSTOMER SERVICE: Excellent, both in-person & via the app chat feature.

LOCATION/PARKING:
• Location: Close to several restaurants
• Parking: Complimentary parking

PETS:
• We chose this hotel because it's pet friendly. No noise concerns.

Would I recommend/stay again? Absolutely! However, it is pricey compared to area hotels.

One of the nicest TownePlace Suites we have stayed at. Very nice and customer focus when checking in. Excellent breakfast and great hot coffee. Very nice desk clerks and staff. Highly recommend this property.

Staff was friendly and welcoming.

Room was exceptional, spacious, and clean! Low on utensils but we didn’t need to use them since our stay was short.

Location was fantastic. Located near a Starbucks, sonic and local Imos.

Grounds were clean and well manicured.

Breakfast was fantastic. Offered warm, cold and on the go options. Best breakfast offered by a hotel during our journey.

Did not use fire pit, pool, or gym but all were kept well maintained!

Highly recommend this location. Would definitely stay again!

Great location for a hotel in a nice neighborhood. Lots of dinner options nearby for a weary traveling family. The rooms aren't luxury but they fit the bill. The only downside was the breakfast was below average and required a subsequent stop for the family at Starbucks (Luckily it's next door). Lastly, the staff is friendly and helpful!

My children and I stayed here while our home was being repaired for about two weeks. They keep asking when we can go back haha! It was a great experience, even though we weren't there for a fun reason. The staff was a true highlight - kind, courteous, helpful, and really handled the kids well (even though one cried every time we walked through lobby for some reason!)

Pool: A highlight -- the saltwater pool was refreshing and a good way to wear out the crew. It was maintained well and we always had access to clean pool towels.

Breakfast: Can I have some chocolate chips, please?! Waffles with chips is a new favorite at our house thanks to our stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. We ate most days at the tail end of the breakfast time and were never rushed and always had plenty of choices.

Team: One highlight of our later breakfast was the opportunity to observe management interacting with their team each day. The daily team meeting clearly helped build comradery and make sure everyone was on same page. Like most businesses, they are experiencing some struggles with having enough staff but from housekeeping, desk workers, maintenance, and management we had a great experience.

If you have the opportunity to stay here, enjoy it!

I’ve been hesitant to stay at TownePlace Suites due to some bad experiences elsewhere years ago. I tried this one in Edwardsville and it is quite nice. The room is nice, service was good. There were a few small distractions. One was the fact that the closet is so shallow that it pushes on hung clothes when closed (see photo). The other point is the breakfast. This is theoretically an extended stay hotel with kitchens etc so I guess they don’t need to provide much, but it is definitely less of a breakfast than other hotels where I usually stay.

What an exceptional experience. There were a few problems with my reservation and the manager Mary Barrs took 45 minutes to straighten everything out. The entire staff was understanding and helpful. They relieved a great deal of stress and pressure I had and were just wonderful. The hotel itself is great. Clean and close to everything.

I have been staying here for a few months due to some serious water damage to my home. While everything is being sorted it slowly it has been a welcoming light during these dark times. The staff have been nothing but kind a courteous to not only myself for my daughter as well. It is a joy to talk to each and everyone who works here and they are more then happy to make our stay as comfortable as possible. I am grateful for all their help and support, and making us feel welcome

Awesome and comfortable stay. I thoroughly enjoy the kitchen amenities and that I was able to get a bath tub.

The only issue that I experienced was the parking lot. The Starbucks next door can really jam up one of the two ways to get in and out. The other exit/entrance was directionally challenging as it was a curved/divided/one direction driveway.

Otherwise very clean and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay very much.

Everything was really nice, clean, and easy. The man at the front desk was super helpful with changing our pillows out to non feather ones and with the toothbrushes we forgot. The room was spacious and had everything it advertised. Would definitely stay here again.

First time at this location and I liked it. Stayed here because the location was super convenient for my business trip. Stayed in a suite and I had plenty of room and the furnishings made working very easy.

Got stuck in Edwardsville due to car malfunction and we were 2 hours away from home looked for hotel all over all booked till we came here They helped us with a room and got us situated loved our stay with them kids and hubby enjoyed it! They were Very clean and very friendly staff ! Welcome atmosphere as well breakfast tasted good my 2 year old loved the different option of breakfast provided definitely recommend for a quick or long stay !

Wonderful staff, very accommodating. Rooms were stocked accordingly. Beds and pillows were comfy, the hotel and rooms were clean. Not sure of the cost, we used our Marriott reward points. I will definitely add this hotel to my preferred list. 👍👍

This is one of the best hotels my family has ever stayed at, and we have seen our fair sure during our travels around the country. We were especially pleased and excited by the full kitchen, stocked with everything we needed for a quick and simple dinner. The free breakfast was also a hit with all of the children and their different preferences.

So clean. It's really worth the extra cost. Really relaxing stay. Lovely indoor heated pool.

Nice hotel. The rooms are good but the mattress and pillows need replaced. The breakfast spread is awesome and the service desk are fantastic

Fairly new hotel and extremely clean with excellent room service. Here on a business trip and they have made my so far 2 week stay great. My only issue was they stated a $20 hold fee would be issued for my stay but it ended up being a charge for$20 and another charge for $140. Other then this the group im with haven't had any problems. Will stay again.
