Tanny's Grill and Chill

From the outside it doesn’t look like much but walk inside and it’s the best diner you ever been too . The food is fantastic . I have had the big breakfast, the steak tacos, the pork cutlet and a mushroom hamburger . They were just fantastic. Plus the most friendly staff you will ever meet. Definitely a must try I did and I’m hooked.
Went there for thanksgiving dinner and it was amazing.totally home made better than mom.

Its a great little place in a historical little town. The food is amazing! Beautiful decor in a historic downtown building. And they have specials everyday. The meatloaf is the bomb! Salads are great! Love the nacho Supreme, its best in southern illinois that ive found!

This place was a blessing!
For people who dont know about golconda, thats a small town located in southern illinois, located near shawnee national forest.
Tannys grill is one of the good places in town, we got our lunch and dinner packed from here and I must food was good.
Tried their chicken wrap, veggie pizza.
Fast and reliable service, server was really kind.
Definitely recommend.

I had the French Dip and breaded mushrooms. So good!!!! I can't wait to come back and try something else. The hubby had the Double Bacon Cheeseburger, he said it was very good as well.

I love the home cooking.. reminds me of childhood meals and family get togethers .. friendly staff and owners always going above and beyond to make sure that you are well taken care of.

Ride or drive to a quaint little town called Golconda and stop in at Tanny's Grill and Chill, near the Ohio River. The menu is great and includes breakfast. Tanny always has daily specials too, which include homemade sides and even homemade dressings for your salad. My favorite there is the huge pork tenderloin sandwich, but have never eaten anything there I didn't like. Tanny and the staff are great; she even posed with us in our pic!!!!! Make this place a stop on your travels thru Southern Illinois.

Best breakfast place to go to. The hash browns were the best we’ve ever had. Everything tastes perfect. Great prices and portions, and friendly service. Highly recommend this place!

We stopped in for breakfast here over the weekend - and had one of the best meals in a very long time! The buffet was awesome, and the folks there were so nice.

The entire neighborhood was very cool, and there's a lot of history there that we were unaware of. Definitely worth a visit! Hope come back real soon! :)

Very very good food. 31 years old and that's the best fish I've ever ate. Staff is very nice. The staff even checks with you to make sure you enjoy your meal. Buildings and bathrooms are clean. Serving size is good I leave full to the top every time.

Food is great, it is a very nice place just to sit down and relax and just to have a talk with a friend, if you want to go there to have a family meals, it is also a great place to go to... it's just one of those places where you know that you can be you and have a nice time

Inviting small town eatery. I went here with my husband and 4 children. We had the sweetest waitress who was very attentive. They brought out a few sampler items on the house for us to try while we waited for our food. Each of us ordered something different and we all loved the food. Great portion sizes and really reasonable prices. Glad we stumbled upon this sweet place!

Never eaten anything that hasn’t been cooked to perfection

They are able to work around my food allergies and still make great food. Love the relaxed and local atmosphere while dining in.

The food was excellent and service was just as great. It's a nice little place in a nice little town well of the beaten path right on the river.

We had lunch in the restaurant today. There wasn't an empty table. As soon as a table was empty, more hungry people came through the door! The waitress(es) were working hard and I knew it, so I tried to be patient as my cup was empty for 25 minutes before getting a refill. When we got there, there were 2 waitresses then one disappeared... she might not have been a waitress but she got us drinks and took our order, then we never saw her again... a different girl brought us our food.
I gave 5 stars because the food was great as always! It didn't take long to get it either, especially for being as busy as they were. Tanny has a great selection of food to choose from!!

Great place with great service! Stopped here after being treated disrespectfully at the Dari-Barr on the other end of town. Found the complete opposite experience of the first place, great service, good food, great service. They had food out to my hungry two year old in about 5 minutes and food for the rest of us about 15 minutes later, exactly as promised! Will stop here again if we’re passing through. I recommend you give them a try.

One of your friendly small-town restaurants! The waitress frequently checked up on us. And my one scoop ice-cream cone technically had two scoops! Also, the sampler tray we ordered, she informed us they were currently out of wings and asked if we'd like extra of the rest! 👍🏻 My only complaint: two of the fried cheese pockets on the sampler tray didn't actually have any cheese in. But I would still return here!
