Good place for lunch. Food was solid, server was nice. Would go back next time I’m in town. Paid attention to vegan requests.

Wonderful place. 5 of us ate there. Red curry, green curry, pineapple fried rice, pad tai. It was all wonderful! Great atmosphere. Very relaxing sit down experience. We were very pleased.
The tea was cool. Note how the bag came through the top of the cover. Neat!

Absolutely loved the Pork "Wings" and Pad Kra Tiem Prik Thai. I wished I would have brought a party of 10, just so I could have tried more dishes. You could taste the love for the food. Service was great and the atmosphere was elevated and cozy. Definitely recommend.

The taste of food is exquisite here. Even though the price is a bit costly, it’s worth it. Perfect place to take your date. Panag curry is definitely suggested. Service is also really great.

I've traveled to the area several times over the past few years, and since finding The Thai Spice, I've made sure to eat here at least once per week I'm in town. Simple, elegant décor; quiet, intimate atmosphere, with light, pleasant jazz playing in the background. Seating is great for parties of one to four. Wait staff always knowledgeable, helpful and attentive, without hovering. And the food...the food! If you like Thai, or want to try it, you *really* should come here.

This place was amazing. The decor was very simple but where they shine is their food and staff. Our waitress was extremely helpful she we asked for suggestions and came back multiple times to make sure we had what we needed. The food was quick and tasted as amazing as it looked. The Siam Shrimp was light and a perfect starter. The Roasted Duck Curry was loaded with duck and was a great balance of flavor. The Pad Cha Talay was spicy with tons of flavor. With Tiramisu was amazing. Would recommend to anyone and will definitely be going back.

We enjoyed our visit here. We had lunch and you can get some really good deals. The portions were generous. The spring rolls were delicious. Park in the back lot (behind restaurant) for free parking.

This is a great little spot in Ames that offers something different than your typical "Americanized" Asian cuisine. This is a great place to go on a first date if you want to impress someone with a little nicer atmosphere amd smaller setting. Their food is awesome and I highly recommend any of their soups.

Delicious fried rice and curry options with generous portions. Delivery was easy and relatively quick. We ordered the pineapple fried rice and pad thai with tofu.

Friendly service with great food. I love thai food and I eat all across the states but this place is the beez knees. My server was nice and didnt disturb me too often but made sure my drink was full and that everything was okay. I will be back!

Went for a date night. We shared a bottle of wine and I had the Pad Ka Prow Duck and my girlfriend had the Green Curry with tofu. The servings were large, and the food was excellent. Will definitely come back.

Excellent food! I love Curry and have tried it here a couple times and it was very flavorful and good. Today my daughter tried the Pad Thai and it was very tasty and it was a huge portion considering it was on the lunch menu. We also tried the dumpling appetizer and they were so yummy and crispy. The prices are moderate and the place is cozy and cute.

Got the green curry and panang curry, both at the Thai hot spice level, both were delicious. It was the right spice for us, but definitely a heat that grows with each bite. Ordered ahead online and it was ready on time when we got there.
There is also a cute secluded grassy area with tables to eat at and enjoy the weather.

We love The Spice!! Ken is awesome! My husband forgot his debit card, and Ken was so kind about him getting it back. The food is always delicious and service is wonderful!!! Keep up the fabulous work!!!

Date night at it finest— I always appreciate the customer service and the food never disappoints. Their curries are tremendous but be sure to make an impression on any guest with the Mango Sticky Rice for desert. Also, don't forget about the drink menu! Tea and wine at its' finest. Truly a classic, local spot.

We shared spring rolls which were very crispy, Pad Tan and Yellow Curry veganized and they were delicious. The rice was perfectly steamed too. Our waitress was very attentive and filled our water glasses at just the right time. The atmosphere is very relaxing with low lighting and beautiful tableware.

Incredible place! The some of the best Thai that I've had in Iowa, or anywhere for that matter, beating out some of the big name restaurants in Des Moines that I love. Could use a little more spice heat in the food, but outstanding flavors. This has become date-night destination #1 for me and my wife. The Thai iced tea is incredible. This definitely one of those out-of-the-way restaurants that you must eat at!

I had a great experience at The Spice. All of their food was excellent. I had a Spice Plate appetizer, Shrimp Tom Yum soup, Tamarind Shrimp, and the Fried Banana dessert. It was the best Thai dinner I've ever had. I highly recommend trying this restaurant.

A fav of mine in Ames. Love everything I’ve ever tried here! I crave their fried spring rolls. Yum! Also, a great cozy, quiet atmosphere. I appreciate being able to actually hear ppl when they talk.
