Reasonable and honest. I never worry about being taken advantage of here, being a young woman who doesn’t know much about cars. They’re quick and efficient. We love wheelocks!

I had a great experience with Wheelock’s! I had sent an email requesting a consultation and they were able to get me in within a day. They were super sweet and helpful and were able to actually fix the problem that same day! Everything was super fast and there was very good communication. They were reasonably priced as well. I will definitely come here again if needed!

We broke down while on vacation, with a flat tire due to a broken wheel liner dragging on it. We were towed in to Wheelock's at 4:30. We were on the road with a used tire and trimmed wheel liner by 5. Vacation saved! Thank you, Wheelock's!

After my personal accident I am no longer able to do hardly any work and these guys went above and beyond my request, they were able to tow my car to their location and have it fixed within a couple of days. I was so pleased that they were able to get the work done and its overall cost was cheaper than a dealership, while still using higher quality parts than factory parts that the dealership was going to use. 10/10 will be taking my vehicles here instead.

I didn’t know what was wrong with my car but they called me and told me the price it would cost to fix a power steering leak but they were very honest with me and told me the leak was so small that it would be ok to just keep it filled up for now. They charged me nothing to fill the fluid and it’s working much better. They saved me $1300 right now that I wouldn’t have been able to afford. Amazing service. Highly, highly recommend.

10/10 on service!! I went in for a basic oil change and my car ended up needing brake pads. The whole Wheelock’s team was in communication with me throughout the whole day about my car and what was going on. They were very fair about pricing and Informed me every step of the way on how much everything would cost. On top of that my bill ended up being cheaper than I expected! Highly highly recommend Wheelock’s and I will for sure be back in the future for any car repair needs!!

My car was recently having some steering issues, so I dropped it off at a national chain in town. They called and told me it would be $1,300 to fix, but that I'd have to wait a week for a part to come in. The next morning, I took it to Wheelock's instead, where I had my car back that afternoon, and for exactly half the price of what the other place quoted. Thank you, Wheelock's.

They will help you understand what’s the problem with your car, walk you through some options, and give you personal advice which I appreciate. Definitely a great place to service your car if you don’t know a lot about cars and don’t want to get ripped off.

The woman who is at the front desk is always warm and kind. She’s always reassuring and a good person to walk through your car troubles with!

In a world where service has become a commodity and hard to find, It’s great to find a family owned business that treats you well and still believes in it. The folks at Wheelocks work hard for their customers and treat people fairly. They’re no “9-5 shop”.. they’ve stayed late and called me after hours to let me know my vehicle was done and ready to pick up if I wanted. My only problem … I wish I’d found them sooner! While no business is perfect, they strive for excellence and I appreciate that.

Got a flat tire on I35 about 45 minutes from Ames. Called a few others and no one could get me in for days. Wheelock’s stayed open an hour past closing time so I’d be able to get there, and they were able to repair my tire quickly and affordably. I was back on the road in no time. quality, honest & expert advice, competitive pricing, and above &
beyond customer service for me and my parents. After my parents'
car broke down on the highway and had to be towed to another repair
shop out-of-state, Kim helped us by calling that shop and obtaining
clarity on the diagnosis as well as pricing. I have recommended and
keep recommending them to my co-workers and friends.

Best auto service place in town. Recently went to get my AC fixed and the end price ended up being about half of what they quoted me for. They could've asked me for the full amount and I wouldn't have known any better. Always honest and helpful every time I bring one of my cars in, and always done within a couple days. There's no other auto shop in town I would go to.

Hands down dependable mechanic that your can trust. It's very important to me that I have someone that I trust to work on my vehicles. I've have had 2 transmissions installed by Wheelocks plus number of other work. Never had a issue they couldn't fix. Very easy going and will work you into there schedule at the drop of a hate. I have recommend them to all my family and friends. All have had a great and respectful experience. They are always glad to have helped with any issue. No job is to big nor to small for them. I'm not a gambling man, but I would bet money you would be a satisfied customer every time.

I will definitely be taking my vehicles here from now on. They worked with my budget, were friendly, honest, and had the best price, as well as great quality service and expert repair work. I've found my new mechanic. My dad was a mechanic his whole life, so I know a good place when I find one. I highly recommend Wheelock's!
