Cherish authentic vets like this

My pets and I have always been treated with respect and compassion by the staff and veterinarian at the Haltom City Animal Clinic. You can tell that they genuinely care about animals at this "old school" establishment. Thanks so much for the services you all provide. 🐕🐩❤🐈🐈‍⬛

The best veterinarian hands down. They took care of our 13 year old Minga and surgically removed a large cancerous tumor. She is already back to her young self again! Could not have asked for more. Thank you for giving her a new leash on life!

So glad I found this place. Dr. Anderson is the only vet I trust with my animals. Front desk staff are very nice too.

Great price and great service. Absolutely love Dr Anderson. My German Shepherd and I have found a new vet. He educated me without talking down to me.

Where do I start? Well Dr Anderson was referred to me by a family friend many many years ago and I used him for years until I moved out to Decatur. I absolutely loved him then. He was caring and very experienced and reasonably priced. Always excellent care for all my animals. Since moving, I have been using a local vet in Decatur that has been ok up until my German Shepard hurt his knee. My local vet did X-rays and diagnosed my dog with a ruptured ACL and referred me to another vet that specializes in ACL surgery. So I proceeded to take him to the ACL specialist who said he indeed needed surgery at a price tag of $6,300. Now, my GS is 11 years old, weighs 120lb and the surgery involves cutting the bone and re-aligning it and putting in a metal plate. Yikes-very intrusive! Not to mention the recovery and aftercare for my poor boy would be extremely difficult as he just about outweighs me so I was very stressed but scheduled the surgery and prepaid at their request to get the consult fees and follow up appointment fees waved. I was told if I paid same day I wouldn’t be charged for that visit which was $250 and his follow up appointment fees would be waved, saving me $500. A way to get you to commit same day. Make you wonder what they are up to, huh? Then I had to spend another $800 for a handicap ramp so I could get him in and out of our house for potty breaks bc he would not be able to use stairs for months after surgery. So a total investment of $7,100! I decided to get a 3rd opinion and go see good ole Dr Anderson and I’m just so thankful I did! He asked me if anyone mentioned Adequan injections for him since he didn’t appear to be terribly lame. I said no and so he proceeded to tell me he’s had great results with the injections and suggested we try a regimen of the Adequan injections! Boom! My dog responded well to the very first injection and no longer is limping. I’m thrilled I went for this 3rd opinion bc Dr Anderson immediately knew what to do all for $90 on my first visit and $45 every week there after for a 6-8 week regimen. Don’t get me wrong, if surgery was the absolute last resort I would have gone that route, but it wasn’t. He knew right out of the gate these injections were the answer! Thank you Dr Anderson for saving me a fortune, but more importantly saving us months of anguish, pain and suffering while recovering from surgery! Your professionalism, kindness, knowledge and experience are unmatched and I will be using you for all my vet needs even if it means driving an hour there and an hour home!

I know this is a long review, but I hope it saves someone else if they find themself in my situation. And it’s worth mentioning these less than desirable reviews. You need to take them with a grain of salt bc we all know people are quick to post bad reviews when things don’t go their way. There is no way Dr Anderson delivers less than stellar vet care and compassion! Period!

They were so nice and helpful with my Baby Dog. She had breast cancer, heart murmur, allergies. But he still did what he could with her surgeries. She passed. They refered me to a wonderful place to get her cremated.

I've been taking my fur baby here for years, and trust the good doctor and his assistance wholeheartedly. Like any pet parent, I get anxiety when I have to drop her off for blood work or teeth cleaning, but she's always in great shape and in a good mood upon return. The office is very communicative, and they do their best to save your money where they can. I would recommend this animal hospital to any local people looking for good veterinary care for their beloved pets. Doctor Anderson is also the main vet for the Fort Worth Stock Show, so he has extensive experience with all animals.

Dr. Anderson has a very practical view of pet medicine and was able to provide practical answers and next steps to an ongoing problem that other vets could not.

Dr. Anderson is highly knowledgeable and an honest veterinarian. My family has been bringing our pets here for decades, and will continue to do so as long as they're open! This vet clinic has great customer service, and while it may seem "no frills," that's reflected in honest, low pricing for the customers. I have never felt scammed here, nor have I ever felt pressured to get anything unnecessary for my pets health and wellness.
Thanks, Dr. Anderson! We'll see you on our next visit!

First time I went they took care of our puppy (then) and gave him some antibiotics. Now a year and a half later he went in for more shots. The doctor and staff are really nice and caring.

Excellent...have been to lots of other clinics and they COULD NOT diagnose what was the problem with our dog.
1st time there and Dr has made a complete turn around of our dog...it was like next day you could tell the difference. Our dog you can see the difference..like night and day he gets his rest now and a lot more active
.
Thank you Dr. W.Anderson

I'm very pleased with both visits. I rescued a stray cat that was in dire circumstances with various health and injury issues. I performed the basic care giving and was supplemented by the Doctor on the issues requiring professional diagnosis and treatments. For quite some time I didn't think he would make it, but we've turned the corner and he is mending. I like both the Hospital and Doctor. They squeezed me into appointments on both days I called. They treated my new buddy with care and professionalism. This isn't a fancy modern chain corporation earning profits this is an old school health care facility delivering quality treatment for ailing family members. The costs are reasonable and affordable. I also saw, listened to and spoke with several other customers waiting in the reception area. I met several happy customers there. They like me, loved their pets and trusted them into the Doctor's Skill and Care. I highly recommend the Haltom City Animal Hospital for excellent health care.

The doc is extremely professional and very good with my cats. His work is excellent. A bit pricey, but worth it! He spayed both my girl cats, and they healed quickly and are healthy and happy to this day!

Best veterinarian my family and neighbors have ever had. Our neighbors referred us and will never go to another veterinarian. The staff is extremely helpful and nice, almost always right on time, very knowledgeable. Dr Anderson is a very experienced veterinarian, very helpful, practical and caring. Don't waste time elsewhere.
