Random BBQ place today. For a bbq joint in an older downtown square, I was super surprised the staff was very friendly. Daniel is a 5 Star Cashier. His personality and welcoming vibe will change your day. I ordered the Stuffed Spud with Brisket and all the fixings, the beans were new to me on a potato. The moist brisket was flavorful. Generous portions. You wont find the traditional fountain drinks here, they tasted pretty good. I went with traditional tea, instead. Great food, smiling staff, and really clean. The wood tables were not filmy or sticky. All the tables had a full roll of paper towels. The bbq sauce bottles on the tables were not gunky and pretty full. I’ll be back for sure!

Arrived Thursday, 12:10 pm, for lunch. Place was empty so I was able to walk up and order. Small dining room but has a lot of seats - cool Texas vibe. The lunch special - brisket sandwich - with an egg roll came to $20. The sandwich was so good. I forgot to take a picture cause I just dove in to eat it. I put the blazing hot BBQ sauce on it and it was awesome. Brisket eggroll is very good. Adding the jalapeño ranch is a nice touch too. Eggroll is good with the spicy barbecue sauce.

Sauce is different than most I’ve had. We’ll be back for sure!

Great new place to take the family! The staff is friendly and welcoming. The BBQ brisket had great flavor, little fat, was moist. My oldest daughter got the ribs and she loved them. My wife got the dual meat sausage with Turkey. The sausage was great and the Turkey flavorable. I had the bbq beans with mac and all were on point. I had to go back and get the cobbler, asked for extra crust and they took care of me. All in all the food had great flavor the blue cheese was a pleasant surprise in the coleslaw but added a nice sharp taste. I fed my entire family for a little over 30.00 so price is very reasonable. New business and a great add to our rotation! We will definitely be back, SOON!

Was looking for a new BBQ place near garland and googled this place. already had 4.3 stars so trusted the reviews.
Started w/ the brisket egg rolls.. wow when u bite into the middle and all the goodness hits!!!

let me tell you!! the brisket was delicious!!!!! ordered both lean
and marbled--mouthwatering and tender!!! pork was great and jalapeno sausage too. ordered the 2 meat plates.

the sides omg-- great portions for personal sides and for the price. greenbeans were bright and tasty not drowning in water like other chain restaurants. cheesy potatoes and potato salad so yumm. and a giant side of fried crispy okra! definitely in the list for go to bbq now! thk you bold bbq!!!!!!!!

Texas BBQ beats Kansas City BBQ!!! That's what my work colleague said before we went for lunch at Bold BBQ Pit.
Brisket egg roll, fried pickles to start, followed by main course of brisket, jalapeno sausage and dessert comprising bread pudding and cobbler.
A must visit if you are in Wylie / Rockwall area.

We loved the loaded Baked Potatoes. We chose the Brisket which was delicious. We saw the Blue Cheese Slaw on the menu and had to try it. We were instant fans. Bold BBQ Pit is a great fit for Ballard Street. It's Texas to the core.

The menu selections are plentiful, and I suggest viewing them beforehand to avoid holding up the line if you're visiting in-person. Indecision and hunger don't mix.

I went for the smoked meatloaf (available on Thursdays this month, and sells out quickly!) It was delicious, with cheesy potatoes and green beans. If you're a dessert fan, good luck deciding what to get! 🤔 I chose the chocolate chip cookie, but the peach cobbler WILL make you slap ya neighbor with no regrets...

I enjoyed the atmosphere and went at a good time of day. Talking to Ms. Mary was a joy! The crew was welcoming and down-home good people! Thank you, Alex, Tricia and Krystal... They even got Pitmaster Adam to come out for a photo!

A new down home place to eat for Wylie. Really great BBQ. The sides are just as good. The onion rings and the okra are some of the best I have ever had. You can find a table to eat by yourself or look for a table and ask if you can sit in during dinner. It's new and modern but has a feel of small town USA dining. It's the kind of a restaurant that after you eat here you can't wait to bring friends and family so they can experience it. Ok so an update they also have a grilled cheese sandwich. It is on a Texas toast with onions,meat and cheese. It taste incredible with or without sauce!

Everything was absolutely awesome!!! I had the chopped marbled brisket, smoked sausage, and smoked bologna with potato salad and Mac n cheese. Phenomenal!!!

I am extremely satisfied and happy about coming here to try their BBQ. Great value for the exceptional food. Hard to leave hungry. I got the brisket, sausage, and ribs. The brisket was lean, yet not dry. The sausage was smokey and had a good spice flavor. The ribs were tender, good meaty chew, and fell off the bone, but not overcooked.

For me, my favorite item was the potato salad. Chunky and a little creamy without too much tartness. Also had bacon bits for the win. Sweet potato tater tots were spot on and not greasy. I forgot to get my 3rd side but I wouldn't of been able to finish it.

I'll be coming back with company in tow!

Such wonderful people, great atmosphere, and grooving music from Jay Cober and the Backline on our most recent visit.

Meats aren't heavily smoked, which is preferable to some less-Texan palettes. Texas Cuban and Cheesy Potatoes are great and the desserts are top-notch down-home goodness.

You get great food for your money here. We pulled up and parked right across the street - even at 6:30pm on a weeknight, was not too busy but had plenty of people in there spread out and enjoying their time. The brisket and BBQ sauce are exactly what I would expect from a yummy Texas BBQ joint! We will be back. Thanks for the experience Bold BBQ Pit.

Stopped in for a quick bite as this barbecue joint was on my route. The brisket smoke ring was beautiful, texture and bark excellent, also it had the perfect amount of moisture, based on how I asked it to be cut. The cheesy potatoes were on point, and the okra was fresh fried crunchy, as it should be.
I had a fantastic interaction with the manager, Daniel who when asked made some recommendations for my order. Also invited me to come back on a Thursday to check out the bacon, wrapped meatloaf with house, smoked ketchup, topping. I just might do that!
Very happy with my visit, I plan to be back!

Let's talk about this sandwich!! The Bodacious $18. It's 1lb of meat with a fresh stuffed jalapeño type with more meat & cheese. Just WOW!!!! Delicious 😋 If you haven't tried, go try it. Plus the staff was so kind & hospitable. True BBQ experience.

Really good BBQ. I'm not a fan of any kind of BBQ sauce so the place has to stand on the taste of the meat alone and they dont disappoint. Love the cole slaw and especially the potato salad. Sausage has a great smoky taste and the brisket is just right. I've been here 5 times since they opened and left happy every time. 1 piece of constructive criticism is to watch the amount of fat being served with the brisket. Last meal had way too much. So happy to have a good BBQ place in Wylie.

Brisket has good flavor. I enjoyed the Smokey flavor of the beans. Mac and cheese could be better. But overall I’m happy 😊 i made my own Potato salad because I prefer mustard

Been here a couple times. It's a out of the way drive for us. The staff is very attentive and super friendly. They have a great collection of hot sauce! I also collect hot sauce, so that's a thing for me. The BBQ is top tier. The pricing is actually to low. They could easily charge more. I'll be back many times!
