Chad os an awesome mechanic and provides excellent service

The worst experience I have ever had. I inquired to buy a car he had for sale. I was coming from out of town so I repeatedly asked if the car had any issues mechanically or any other cosmetic imperfections. He assured me the car was in fantastic shape. He pressured me to wire transfer the total amount of funds beforehand to “expedite the transaction”. I did pay in total before I showed due to the reported condition and the current state of the post Covid car market. I insisted on a quick test drive in his presence before he left. He seemed annoyed and rushed the entire time and said this was a complete waste of his time. The transmission had a grind going into 1st gear and all the wheels had huge curb rashes, and the hood had a dent. For the transmission grind ,He suggested that I “throw in some new fluid and would be ok.” I told him that if he preferred, he could change the fluid himself since he is a shady tree mechanic, and if the grinding was gone I would take delivery. He declined and gave me a refund minus a $300+ “processing fee”. I requested if he could forgo his process fee to pay for my flight home since he said the car had zero issues but he refused. I am out $600 buck total. This guy is super shady and would never deal with him for any sales or repairs of any kind. There are even additional super shady details I am leaving out to keep this short. I have no idea how this guy is still in business.
