Best breakfast around old man Harvey reminded me of my great-grandfather....(update) went back for dinner. wanted a burger but they were out of meat... no big deal had the best fried shrimp and my wife got some awesome fish. go check them out while old man Harvey is still kicking. You won't be disappointed.

the wife and I just hiked Russell Cave trails and were in the mood for calories. we just had to have a burger competition between Harvey's Pirate Drive-In (cheese burger) and Dixie Freeze (southwest burger). we had the dog with us, so the challenge had to be done in the car.

both burgers were fantastic! the only thing we weren't huge fans of, and not that they were bad, Harvey's fries just couldn't beat Dixie's tots.

it was a fun competition for us and we highly recommend the burger from Harvey's - there's no wrong choice. if we ever find ourselves traveling through Pittsburg TN again, we'll have to repeat this challenge!

Delicious food! Fantastic service! Awesome atmosphere! Definitely a go-to for hamburgers, hot dogs, or just to say hi to Harvey! Can't wait to go back!

The food is great and the people who work and run the place are the best people I will be back oh make sure you ask for some homemade jelly!

The place doesn’t look like much but the food and service are really good! Highly recommend the hamburger and fries. Now when you go in you’ll be thinking.. what have I stepped into here, what is that odor. But stay! Order the hamburger and you’ll know why you’re there. The utensils, glasses and plates were clean. The water is really good and filtered. The staff was super friendly.

We stopped due to the other reviews. Real hamburger....made to order. Sweet tea is SWEET! Like others have said, it looks like a hole in the wall, BUT the food is good! Prices are reasonable. Large fish sandwich filled the bun. Will stop again if we are in the area! Staff is SUPER friendly!

Great food great service needs to be cleaned up a little but other than that I get that small town vibe when u in there I love it

I've been going there for years. My favorite item is the foot long chili dog, can't get those just anywhere. Homemade chili and slaw makes it perfect. They have great burgers too. It's not fancy but it's good cooking for a reasonable price.

Best Hamburgers in the area. You have to get past how the place looks but the food was awesome. Service is really friendly. Plus, thank you for helping me find family I haven't seen in 30 years. Breakfast is really good also.

Good down home cooking. Very reasonable old school prices make me happy, and so does the warm old school friendly smiling attitude that makes you feel at home even as a stranger. Two thumbs up. Not enough of these around anymore. When they are all gone, America will truly have lost a defining legacy.

Traveling through with the family and decided to stop in. Very welcoming people and service. Food was very good and everyone seemed happy to serve us. If I'm ever in South Pittsburgh, I'll definitely be stopping by.

Do you want an old fashioned cheese burger large or small? If you visit South Pittsburg go to Harvey's Pirate Drive In. Good old Southern hospitality. My wife and I had the cheeseburgers but there is more on the menu and it all sounds good. Thank you for a great experience.

Coffees good, food is good, generous portions, tea so sweet your straw could stand up. The people here are very sweet. I'd come back. The atmosphere might seem questionable at first, but once you sit down, you feel like you're at a friend's table.

When they say "hole in the wall", they aren't kidding! With that said, this place is a gem! You may be looking at a wall or ceiling waiting to cave in, possibly a rain puddle dripping on to a neighboring table, but the food is fantastic! Leave your snobbery at home.

I have ate at Harvey's my whole life the food is always amazing and Mr Harvey always let's the pirate team (cheerleaders and football players) eat free if you want southern home cooked meals this is your place I love Harvey and will always go here I have known him my whole life and won't skip out on the food ever

These guys are great. Lots of heritage. Proud home town supporter. Great cheese burger. Done like it was 30 years ago.

Staff is soo friendly, this was my first time going here, and it has that homey feel! I read the reviews before coming about the huge homemade burgers and I definitely wasn't disappointed!

There is nothing like eating at the Pirate!! I have beem going since a child. They have the best food. I highly recommend their breakfast, which is amazing, their lunch. Home cooked food especially their plate lunches or specials that have every day, they sell out quick necause everyone wants one!! And they are open pretty late for dinner or supper and also desserts!! Go to the Pirate and meet Harvey, make a part of South Pittsburg Tennessee's history!!

Super friendly staff!! We stopped in for breakfast. Service was fast, food was hot, and prices were very reasonable. The sweetest man running the register.
