Fantastic little horse trail, the sycamore trees were our main reason for going and they are soooo beautiful and worth it. The trail is well maintained, there is a lot of trash along the bank of the river but I think it's from pollution. The horse flies were almost non existent.

Beautiful well maintained trails for horses. Trails are easy to navigate and not overly technical but the scenery is beautiful. A great place to go for a laid-back trail ride.

Great trail. Very muddy right now in May, but great in dryer weather.

Co-managed by the Trinity Trail Preservation Org, The Lake Lavon Corp of Engineers, and the City of Lucas, this equestrian trail is a real gem in Collin County. A lovely horse riding trail through varied terrain along the western shore of Lake Lavon. Both trail heads are horse and trailer friendly and the organizations work hard to maintain the trail, keeping it free from trash and brush. But, caution if you attempt to travel the trail south from Brockdale as trash, yard dabree, and construction waste dumped from the Inspiration development, impeed travel and create hazards. I understand the organizations working to maintain the trail continue to encourage the Inspiration development to clean up that section and assist in its maintenance before that section of trail is abandoned to overwhelming rubbish. Currently it's a real eyesore, hazardous situation, and an enviromental detriment along beautiful Lake Lavon.

This trail head is one of my favorites to bring new students to when they are learning how to ride trails. Going north gives an enclosed feeling with all of the trees. They keep it well maintained. Keep an eye on the weather though, if it's muddy it's black mud and can be deep at times.

Wonderful large parking area for your truck and trailer. Bathroom is always clean. Water trough for the animals to drink and a water hose to wet them down after the ride if it was hot. This is the trail head that I park at 99% of the time when riding at Trinity Trail.

Loved the trails well marked and fairly cool for the horses n the shade. Need more access to the lake for the horses to drink and cool off though.

Trinity trail is an awesome trail system for runners, riders, and hikers. Use to run these trails every weekend when I lived back home in Collin county. Loved this place.
