Lucky Star Chinese Food

Honestly the food was really great and having been there Christmas Day, when we know they are in the weeds, the service was efficient and polite. The people there screaming about the wait while simultaneously not having their order number ready obviously have never worked in the service industry. Thank you lucky start for our families Christmas dinner

Best take out Chinese in town. The food is awesome and cooked to order. Never had an order that wasn't perfect. The owners and staff are always nice and very polite! Highly recommend.

We ordered takeout here. The food is good, and it falls neatly into typical Chinese fare. That said, it is certainly one of the better options in the area! Service was quick, and I had no problems.
Lucky Star will not win any beauty pagent awards when it comes to ambiance and scenery, but sometimes good food comes from these kinds of places.
We ordered take out in the middle of summer and I think the AC must have been broken because the heat of the day combined with the heat of the kitchen could make for a potentially dangerous situation for the staff. I really feel for them because it must have been over 100 in the building. Nevertheless I recommend this place.

Lucky Star is my all time favorite restaurant for take-out in Wilmington. It's good every time.

When we got to Wilmington, we searched for a good Chinese restaurant. The challenging thing is that it has to be open for lunch on Sunday. This is the best one. Their fried dumplings are the best and their food is consistently good. We've had quite a few different dishes there. Some of the dine in places are better, but this is the top takeout place we've found.

The food is great. The delivery is the absolute best in Wilmington.

Ordered through Uber eats and the food was magnificent! It was so hot when we got it that we had to let it cool off. The food was perfection. Portions are big enough for 2 meals.

This is the best hole in the wall Chinese spot Wilmington. That house Chinese mustard is FIRE.

Not sure of the negative reviews because I order from here every time I'm in town and have never had an issue. Deliveries are very prompt and the food is piping hot. The delivery drivers are always friendly and the portions of food are so massive it makes for 2 meals without breaking the bank. The chicken wings and shredded chicken in hot and spicy sauce are my go to's but I tried the szechuan shrimp today and it was very good. Thank you for continuing to serve your customers during the pandemic. Will order again soon!

I just ordered this for the first time and it is amazing. The family combo was an amazing deal and they really fill up the containers! The rice was so full it was almost over flowing. The delivery was extremely fast and the food was still fresh and hot. The wontons were so good and I would definitely recommend.

I've been going to this same Lucky Star for years. Not sure what the first review was talking about. The lady has always been SO nice. One of the cleanest Take-Out places you'll find. I'm eating the food right now, always very high quality and great sweet tea.

We tried Lucky Star after reading all the reviews and it didn't disappoint! Everything was delicious. They even catered to my special requests. Hubby says he will be getting this once a week now!

The Chicken N Broccoli has a perfect C to B ratio--unlike literally every other Chinese restaurant in America. Even crazier, I've found my fork to aim at the Broccoli more often than the Chicken. Was even good the next day, unlike most Chinese food where, after a day in the fridge, you wonder how you ever ate it at all.

Good all around food... My son especially likes the chicken on a stick, Chinese donuts, and wontons. Best spring rolls I've had! I enjoyed the Orange Chicken and the vegetable fried rice. The Shredded Beef with Hot and Spicy is delicious!

While 5 stars are hard for me to give I gotta say, for a take out restaraunt this one really is a cut above the rest. The food is always great and I've honestly not been able to find a take out restaraunt that can compare. I can't even tell you how excited I was to learn they would deliver to monkey junction. I always get the sesame chicken, shrimp fried rice, and fried wontons.

The other Lucky Star location just isn't the same so avoid that one.

Love that they are vegetarian friendly. The fried rice can be requested as a vegetable option and the egg rolls do NOT have pork or any meat like many do. Delicious! Well definitely be back
