Don't be deceived when you put Spivey Gap parking lot in your GPS and it takes you to a small dirt pull off .5mi or so up the road from the actual parking area! There is plenty of space for 7-8 cars and the AT crosses the road right next to this parking area.

Great spot if you want to hike South on the AT to Big Bald! Also a great spot to do some trail magic for tired thru-hikers! The choice is yours! Hike yeah!

This is just a dirt parking area off the side of the road. Easy access to the trail. In rainy or snowy weather the area can get pretty muddy and might be a challenge for vehicles without 4-wheel drive.
