I used to frequent this place 40 years ago, when it was named Cheryl's, while stationed at Camp Geiger as a young Marine. I was in town visiting the Beirut Memorial with a couple of friends from back in the day. The place has changed significantly, all for the better, and I thoroughly enjoyed my trip down memory lane. I look forward to returning next year.

Good atmosphere, friendly staff, friendly people. Not quite sure why there is always ice in the men's urinal. But either way, good place to go to have a cold Pabst Blue Ribbon. Day to visit, February 6th. Time of visit, 1600.

This is hands down, the greatest place in town! Top notch bartenders, amazing atmosphere, great firepit, great snacks, with a few more extras. What more could you ask for!?!

Update:
Not only did I end up working here after my initial review, but 5 years later and I still go. There have been some upgrades to the bar but it is still a great local watering hole/dive bar to check out when in the area. Also, the house wine is $3 even after COVID. If you don't know, house wine at #thedirtyderby is Jameson. 😉

Fabulous place! A warm inviting place with great drinks and a wonderful bar menu. The pizza is terrific. Clean and friendly and the personnel is excellent. The outdoor deck is great for gathering with girlfriends and a glass of wine. This pub is relaxing and a very safe atmosphere. I highly recommend it!

Small but comfortable bar. The owner, Al, is very personable and welcoming. Food and drinks are great prices and the bartenders have always been friendly. There is an outdoor smoking deck. The bathroom is superb. Also, they have a pool table n a jukebox, what more could you ask for? :)

I've only been there in the the middle of the week. Slow nights, but I find that place to be very pleasant. I didn't get to try, the complimentary food, but it was very presentable. The bartender is sweet and has a great sense of humor. Overall, it's an enjoyable place to hang out and socialize.

Great place! Mostly locals. Chill. Clean!! Great liquor, beer selection and prices will keep you there haha.
Side note - new owner, manager and bartenders are all fantastic people. Friendly, no drama, and perfect place to make local friends.

A former coworker bought the bar, a few changes with her owning it but altogether it is an amazing bar/pub. You can eat, drink, face five a piano, smoke, enjoy a fire, literally it caters to everyone. Want a quiet place away they got you, want a calm environment to get tanked and relaxed the got you, wanna play pool chill and relax it doesn't get better. They take care of you, they care. This is the best bar in Jacksonville. Fire pit in the back for the winter, great service, darts, and pool. It is a great atmosphere and the perfect place to relax, have a few, and have an excellent time. Highly recommend.

This is the place for a home like family feel. Great drinks, awesome bartenders, awesome owners. Best bar in the town and ive visited every last one. Best liquor and beer selection, cheap food, fire pit on the patio... Chill out and have a cold drink.

I known the owners down to earth great sweet people. Drinks are very amazingly priced and they even have great drink specials everyone knows everyone so very friendly bar pool tables music outside firepit drop by an say hello

Great little bar just off Wilmington Highway, it honestly doesn't feel like you're right there next to the road. They have a few beers on tap and a juke box, bartenders are very helpful and attentive.

A clean bar that's great for meeting a small group and holding actual conversations. The music is a great level and the pool tables are perfect.
