Phenomenal stay at Double Oaks. The people running it are all very nice. Austin went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed. Mike serves some of the best fritadas around. The location is perfect distance from the college, downtown, breweries and restaurants. The house is very pretty and the rooms are gorgeous. You will not be disappointed with your stay.

Had a wonderful stay here! Upgraded to the Milam Suite upon arrival, which was spacious and beautiful. The bathroom included a clawfoot tub which was amazing! The entire staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was made to order and overnight guests are offered a free drink at the downstairs coffee shop in the morning, which is a thoughtful touch. Will definitely stay here again!

The coolest coffee shop in Greensboro! You feel transported when you enter in, the staff is always very chatty and you feel like a regular as soon as come in!

Of course though, I like that this place is well hidden, so It may be better if you just let the ones already going not have to share this space ;)

This is a very charming place to stay! The staff was super friendly and very helpful! Our plans were to go out the night we we stayed there, but we decided to stay at the house for food and drinks! They had several beers and wine on tap, as well as seltzers, waters, cokes, etc. Its all self served as you’d like! Would highly recommend staying here.

Their coffee is out of this world, their atmosphere is unlike anywhere in Greensboro. Today I got their breakfast sandwich, amazing!

I loved the coffe and such. Yum. Yum yum. Come here folks you won't regret it. It's a stones throw away from just about everything and is in the middle of all the action. When eat the breakfast make sure to get the bowl of grits with sausage. Get seats in the backyard if the weather permits.

This is a gorgeous property. Probably the best B&B we have been to. The room was fabulous. Very comfortable king bed. We were there for the Wine and jazz night on Wed. And had a really nice time.
Amenities are wonderful, and the full breakfast is fantastic. Chef Michael goes out of his way to make things to your liking. His frittata is one of the best I've ever had. French toast is customized to your order.
We liked it so much, we got a gift certificate for our Nephew and new wife who will be moving to Greensboro in June. We will definitely be visiting again too. Double Oaks is everything you want from a B & B. Things are done right. Do yourself a favor and visit!

The inn was absolutely beautiful and our room could not have been more comfortable or clean. If you like amazing breakfasts then this place is for you! My wife and I have been to many bed and breakfasts but by far the Double Oaks is the best one we’ve stayed at. We finally found the perfect bed and breakfast!

My husband and I recently hosted our son’s wedding celebration party at the Double Oaks. From the very early planning stages until the day of the event, things couldn’t have gone more smoothly. Thank you to everyone at Double Oaks who ensured a stress free event - a glorious party with wonderful food and ambiance in a magical setting. And an extra special thank you to Austin who made it all possible!

This review is a long past due. This is absolutely one of my favorite place to go for brunch on Sunday mornings. The place is absolutely beautiful inside. And has a lovely patio outside. The staff is friendly and efficient. And most importantly the food is marvelous. I just ate there this morning with a old friend from college and we had the best time. I had a frittata and he had the breakfast pizza. So good and nearly made me cry. I hope they stay around for a long long time.

Don't miss this place! We were lucky to stay at Double Oaks for two nights in June, 2019. We have family in the neighborhood (which is charming) so it was a perfect location. Also, it's walkable to the city center. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful.
The owners are gracious and friendly and the breakfasts were wonderful. The home is amazing, with antiques and period pieces everywhere. Spend some time enjoying the art on display. Every room has it's own charm, and the upper floor has a personality all it's own.
We appreciate the idea that this beautiful building is open to all on every other Wednesday for "Wine Wednesday". It's great that the owners are willing to share this restored historic home with people who are interested. There are scheduled events that we wished we could attend, but our time was short.

We love Double Oaks and book a staycation in our hometown on a regular basis now! So much fun to stay on Jazz night. We booked the Milam for my parents who both just celebrated their birthdays and joined them for a fun evening of music. Fantastic as always!

Wow! My husband and I needed a halfway overnight stop en route home from vacation and found this gem!! It is beautifully maintained era accurate with genuine family-like owners, gardens and landscaping to enjoy and of course an absolutely delicious breakfast!! We stayed in The Martin room which was spacious and comfortable. Location is also great with lots of walkable things to see while quiet enough to relax. We will definitely be back to enjoy this wonderful place.

Sunday brunch was fantastic. We enjoyed the (special) breakfast brisket tacos, That's What Cheese Said, and the frittata for our toddler, and cinnamon bun to share. All were excellent and the service was amazing.
Eating outside was very pleasant and the staff were very accommodating to our toddlers' needs.
Overall, an excellent experience and we will be back!

This bed and breakfast is amazing. The historic home is jaw dropping and the rooms and beds are incredibly comfortable. Better yet, the owner James, is so welcoming, friendly, and makes a killer breakfast. The bar is self service, too! Draft beers and wine. If you are visiting Greensboro, this is an excellent place to stay.

Double Oaks Bed and Breakfast is the best I've ever seen. We are getting married here next year in May. Thought we would get away for a night to see what it was like. We loved the place before and fell even more in love with it after our stay. The interior decor is beautiful with various furniture that makes you go back in time. Every member of the staff greeted us with a smile and engaged in genuine conversations. Food was amazing for brunch on Sunday! Enjoyed getting to pour my own beer after hours! Cannot wait to go back again before our wedding. This was a the perfect reset and will be telling plenty of our friends. Plan to do a couple of Christmas/Anniversary gifts for overnight stays for family!

Why can't everyplace have this amazing experience!

We LOVED our time at Double Oaks. We had our wedding there and stayed through the weekend. First, the venue was perfect, decor throughout the house made for a great atmosphere. Our guests loved walking through the garden and the home, and soaking in the ambience! Our guests could move from the second floor balcony, to the garden benches, to the deck wrapped around a giant oak tree, to sitting in the library looking at old books. It was simply amazing and we are so thankful for the memories!
The beds were beyond comfortable, the rooms were clean. Our hosts, James and Amanda, went above and beyond o make sure we were comfortable and taken care of. Breakfast every morning was more than we could ask for! The food was so tasty, I only wish I could have it every morning! We will be back to stay!
