Always stop here when I am in town. Service is very fast and the girls who work here are incredibly kind! Cant find a better smoothie anywhere. The only negative is that they close way too early!

We just had our first cups of coffee and matcha at Pony Espresso this morning — having literally moved to the area just yesterday evening! I had left my matcha at the old place so hubby ran out here to get me a cup of matcha and his go-to, salted caramel flavored latte. The barista suggested enthusiastically — “do you want to add some strawberry in your matcha?!” He brought home this cup of strawberry matcha to me — and WOW! The taste takes me back to one of our strawberry-picking dates in a beautiful field of North Carolina strawberries on a sunny day last season. (He also explained that Pony Espresso uses all-organic ingredients and uses sustainable/recyclable materials wherever possible. Plus!) What a way to start this new day and our new chapter here in Southern Pines! 🥰🍓

I really love the coffee here, especially the Americano. One of the best places to get coffee in town! A little difficult to navigate the drive up and the parking lot, but doable. I frequent this place and would recommend it for your quick stop to get coffee. You can drive up to either side of the little building. Prices are competitive.

Been here several time since moving to NC a little over a year ago. Always so friendly and willing to help me customize my drink. Moved from the west coast where our favorite was Dutch Bros which aren’t on the east coast so wanted to try a small business and happy we did. Had their hot apple cider and with their recommendation, had whip cream and cinnamon, yummy!

Tried the Pony Espresso for the first time today and I’ll never go to the Starbucks in SP again! It was fast and convenient and the barista was super pleasant. The coffee was smooth and delicious - not bitter like Starbucks. The flavor I added to my late was perfect and not overly sweet. Can’t wait to come back!

I LOVE Pony Espresso! My favorite thing to do is ask for barisatas choice and seeing what the amazing humans create! It is always delicious! The employees are very friendly & professional!

Having a black eye with their coffee cake is one of my favorite morning rituals... I've come to the conclusion it's one of the best coffee's in town (and we have no shortage of great coffee shops for our town size). Don't be afraid of the location / appearance. Girls there are amazingly nice to everyone. Good people.

I dropped by for the first time before work one morning and ordered a mocha latte, it was delicious! On top of the good quality coffee, they have very good customer service, which is a big factor for me. It’s a quick little drive thru with a great selection!

Came from Washington state where they KNOW coffee and it’s on every corner. We moved to NC and were disheartened when we only saw Starbucks and Dunkin’. I found this shop when I was driving and stopped immediately. Not only did they have my favorite drink that you can’t get at corporate places- they had a huge selection of other drinks. Fast service and friendly as well. If I could make a recommendation it would be to add more cup sizes and to stay open an hour or two later especially with sports season coming.

10/21/17 -- I have never felt compelled to comment twice on an establishment, now I have. The folks here are always over the top with customer service. The products are always outstanding. A few minutes ago I went to get my usual and wow they do it again. I drink plain boring coffee they didn't have quite enough ready. Without missing a beat my cup goes right up the the machine into my cup. Most places would have you wait or "pull around". Once again if your getting your morning started this is the place. Nobody comes close.

I rarely take the time to write reviews (mostly just because I forget lol), but time and again I am impressed by this little place and can't help but write one. I am in total agreement with what the other reviewers are saying; I have never met someone working here who is not just incredibly lovely. They really go the extra mile to get you what you want, while somehow doing so efficiently and quickly. For sure the best tasting coffee in Southern Pines (especially just their regular drip, something so often mediocre and watery in espresso-heavy coffee shops), and quite consistent. Open later than a lot of places too. Definitely try this little gem if you're in the area.

Delicious coffee served here. They also have a variety of Pinescones for sale. Friendly, quick service and my pup always gets a treat too.
Plus they are renovating the lot and all those bothersome pot holes are gone!

This was such a cute place. Very quick considering it's two people in a small shack with to order windows. The menu variety is pretty broad considering and very tasty. You can drive up and go through or there is parking to go through the window.
The staff was very fun, quick and enjoyable.

This little food truck has become a staple in our town for good reason: the girls serve great coffee/espresso drinks fast and with a smile.

Never had a disappointing cup, except when I forgot to add a few extra shots to my order (sorry, ok want my heart palpating when i drink coffee). For normal drinkers, you can't go wrong.

I just discovered this place and I’m so happy I did! I tend to forget to make my coffee and there aren’t any other drive thru coffee places to hit while on the way to work. Their coffee is good and convenient, and the staff were amazing!

I don't hardly ever give a five star rating but the Ladies at Pony Espresso have earned it! They are always sweet and caring even at 6am when I need my coffee and feel like a sub human. Don't get your coffee anywhere else!!
