Town Hall Burger & Beer Durham

One of the best burgers I’ve ever had!! I got the cowboy burger but subbed out the cheese for pimento cheese. It was fantastic.

Only negative was one of the women working there - I’ve actually never seen someone so disgruntled. She handed me my order of Tots with an eye roll and no verbal response when I thanked her - then proceeded to stomp around the dining room and quite literally huff and puff as she cleaned up. Just truly unhappy to the point of making me (the only patron in that side of the restaurant) a bit uncomfortable in her presence.

But the burger…. The burger was amazing.

I wish I would have taken a picture of the food. It was great. We pulled up and it was crowded. You know its good when there is a crowd. Waited probably 20 minutes to get food which they warned us about. It was worth the wait. Great atmosphere with great food. Go try it. You won't be disappointed.

Great burgers, always! Service is excellent and staff is friendly, always. I do wish they had some low tables in the bar area, but they're all high tops which I can't sit at due to an issue with my leg. The regular dining area fills up really fast. The pretzel bites and dipping cheese are fantastic!

I highly recommend eating here - we enjoyed the relaxed environment and sat on the dine in side (not the bar side) which was quiet and less crowded. My husband and I split the Target Burger, fried pickles, and loaded cheese fries. It was difficult to choose which burger to try because so many sounded good. The sides were generous portions (perfect for sharing) and both were delicious! The fried pickles had the perfect breading to pickle ratio. They were thin and crispy (which is how I like them!) but also had plenty of pickle flavor. We also both liked the jalapeño ranch the pickles are served with. The cheese fries were hot and smothered in melted cheese sauce with plenty of bacon on top. Our burger was *almost* perfect. Something caused it to be a little dry (the bbq maybe needed some sauce?) BUT all the flavors blended well and the burger itself was juicy and flavorful. Also, their sweet tea was on point - which is a big bonus for me! My husband liked his beer and the beer selection. We’ll be back!

Fun atmosphere with feel good rock music not too loud. The food was probably the most amazing we have ever had. Very fresh and so flavorful. The house chips were light crispy and not greasy at all...and the jalapeño ranch was superb, not too spicy.

What a great experience at this location. The food was great and the staff were top notch. Everyone of them were friendly and hard working. A special shout out to Christine working the cash register and taking orders. The lady in front of me left the point of sale without completing the transaction. The screen for the tip option was open and waiting for input. Christine promptly zeroed it out and secured it so that no money was wrongly taken from the customer. So great to see a young person of integrity. Thank you for doing the right thing when you thought no one was watching. I've come here many times and never had a bad experience, even during Covid.

Such amazing burgers! My family and I came in to escape the storm and stayed for the atmosphere and service. Our server Alex did an amazing job and the manager Kyle talked to every table which is always nice to see. 10/10 we will be coming back!

Not only was there a great selection of beers here but the food was absolutely ON POINT. Hands down best burger I've had from a restaurant. Gotta recommend the Tar Heel Burger that I had, it was so good. The picture I have of the fried pickles is after we ate half of it already, the order is HUGE. If you like spicy ask for some of the habanero sauce. All in all, what a gem. Very tasty place and good beers, good service.

A great place, with excellent food, courteous staff and a great atmosphere. The three of us had a salad and two burgers. They were all excellent, my macaroni and cheese burger especially. They have both indoor and outdoor dining, lots of parking, and a separate area as a bar.

Great burgers and side options. Really love the California burger. They also have multiple types of meat or meatless burgers. Atmosphere is great too. Love eating outside in the summer.

Ordered the wings here in both versions of Buffalo sauce and loved both. You will enjoy them if you like a tangy and unique sauce. Absolutely loved the truffle parmesan fries as well. They have a great beer selection, and our server was extremely kind and helpful. I don't live in the area l, but if I did I would be here often!

This is a super friendly place with great burgers, great beer, and a clean eating environment. You'll have to wait a little bit for your burger to come to you, but that's a fair exchange for getting to customize your burger just how you like it and having it made from some really fresh ingredients. It also gives you time to enjoy a brew or two if that's your thing. PLUS, the toilets are clean here, and seem to be kept clean regularly, even as the crowd grows. Bonus!

Best burgers in Durham. Build-your-own and excellent house specialties -- including California Burger and the Carolina Burger. Dining in is casual, lots of outdoor seating on a nice day. Great drink selection and lots of local beers on tap.

This place is dynamite! I must have gotten the biggest burger I've had in the past 10 years, maybe my whole life. I got fried mac and cheese as a side and I thought they brought me 2 massive crab cakes. Both were absolutely delicious.

The restaurant was also very clean with a friendly staff. There's plenty of TVs too, so you can catch whatever game you're looking for.

I will definitely be back!

This place sets a new bar for gourmet burgers. Its hands down the best place to get a burger in the Raleigh-Durham area and here's why.

1. Everything is home or locally made. The Turkey, Lamb, Quinoa, and black bean patties are all made in house. The Impossible burger comes from the legendary company that originated the plant based burger patty. Their beef is never frozen and comes from a family owned farm called Wolverine.
2. They make all of their own sauces and salad dressings.
3. Their bread comes from a local bakery called the bread shop which they receive every day.
4. Consistency.. this place does not cut corners, they've been making it through a global pandemic by sticking to these simple yet effective business models.
5. Their staff is friendly and knowledgeable, a lot of them have worked there for years because they believe in the company.

Food was good. Though the entire order never came out. Good burgers, good beer with large selection, great fried pickles and the fries...I wouldn't know as they never made it out of the kitchen.
