Love the walk in the woods with the (leashed) dogs. Followed the disc course and did a loop through the woods ending with the raptor houses.

I mainly visit for the disc golf course. I've played here since about 2008 when it was still pretty rugged and had original holes.

The improvements they've made over these last couple years is astounding. They have replaced broken signs, added alt baskets on almost every hole, and the course is once again easy to navigate.

I think this course doesn't get as much recognition as it deserves. One of the more challenging advanced courses in the surrounding area, and it's almost never crowded.

2020 update: Getting better! They have reworked some of the teepads and added new ones from when they had to move the holes next to the apartments a few years back. They have done great work. The 'advanced' course has improved navigation and flow. Still one of the best kept secrets in NC.

This is a nice outdoor nature park. There is no playground or any fancy equipment. The only facilities is a portapotty by the parking lot. There is a disk golf course and several trails through the woods. So if you're looking for a nice quiet stroll through the woods, this is your place.

Excellent park hidden in a sliver of land near multiple highways. My daughter is constantly asking to go to "the owl park". The outer loop trail is a nice hike through mixed hardwoods and wetland.

Did the rec disc golf course recently. The course was not clearly labeled but we were able to get through it. Really nice park though and good place to spend a day outside.

Nice park that contains: mid-19th century buildings, multiple hiking trails, and a disk golf course. This park also has various heritage events throughout the year.
