New Hope Animal Hospital

We’ve been to New Hope since my dog was a little puppy (over 3 yrs now). We have had great care and communication from the entire team including all the techs, staff and doctors (Dr.Beth, Dr. Soren and Dr. Bush). They’ve been very helpful in sending my dog to specialists if he needed that and responsive about all the questions about dog ownership and medical issues that he’s had.

They also treat my dog with love and respect and this has helped in making sure he’s not terrified of the vet’s office and he likes the people there.

The veterinarians are very informative and professional, but also friendly and patient. The same can be said for the technicians, who are always there with a treat and smile. The wait times are never terribly long, even for unannounced visits.

My puppy was spayed recently, and they made sure we had everything we needed. They did a great, clean job with the sutures. Every other visit I've made, whether scheduled or a simple tech visit, has been equally pleasant. It's a bit further from our home in Carrboro than other offices, but it's definitely worth the extra time.

My male dog Moocho recently went in for a so needed dental cleaning. Extractions were needed, successfully done. Now my fur baby has better breath, improved eating and feels more spirited than ever. Veterinary medical care at its BEST!!

We've had a number of vets over the years as we've moved around. New Hope Hospital is one of a kind. If you're just going in for an exam, the staff and doctors will love your pet coming in until you leave. If your pet has a chronic condition, you're going to feel like they leave with you! The care AFTER the exam will blow you away. Expecting not to hear anything until our next follow-up, we frequently get emails and updates reassuring us and making us thinking our pup is their number one concern.

I have been taking my dogs to NHAH for over 10 years. The care they receive has always been amazing, the staff is so kind, prices reasonable and Dr. Soren has always been so thorough and knowledgeable. But what led me to leave this review was how amazing NHAH was when we had to put our oldest dog down recently. They were so kind, accommodating, made sure we had our own quiet space, as many treats as we wanted to feed him, and even went above and beyond by creating some keepsakes for us - items I did not think to do in the moment. They made a horrible situation as easy as possible and were so thoughtful about it. Thank you NHAH!

I had to have my 12 year old cat, Tigger, put to sleep today.
Dr. Soren, who has been Tigger's vet all 12 years, and Emily were extremely compassionate and empathetic.
New Hope as a whole was very caring during this time, scheduling at a not-so-busy time, immediately getting us into a private room, and allowing us as much time as we needed.
Emily and Dr. Soren explained the process multiple times in detail so we knew what to expect. The process, although difficult, could not have gone smoother. Emily and Dr. Soren gave us hugs after Tigger was gone and assured us we made the right decision.

The folks here are wonderful! This has been our vet since we moved here in 2011. Clean. Personable. Professional. Very well run establishment.

I am a foster parent through this organization and the thought and care that goes into each and every animal is truly one of a kind. I see a lot of reviews about the high prices so let me explain.
-There are no dogs in a kennel or onsite shelter they are all with families.
-During our time as foster parents we must crate train, leash train and teach them basic tasks for their forever parents.
-We work on potty training, sit/stay and everything else with them during the short time that we have them.
-We take them to their check-ups and they are always vaccinated and checked up on.
-We take them to adoption events weekly.
-We bathe them regularly and take adoption photos for potential adopters.
These animals are incredibly well taken care of and looked after which is what you want from a place that has your fur baby.

I've been bringing my dogs to New Hope for almost six years now, despite moving an hour away, because they are hands down the best Vet in the area and super worth the drive. They have been so kind and professional to me and my dogs every single time I have ever been in. The front office staff and Vet Techs answer every phone call question with so much kindness and professionalism- it always sets me at ease. Every time we've had an emergency they've managed to squeeze us in and help us out and I just cannot overstate how wonderful they have been and how grateful I am to them for always being so great and so kind to my dogs. Also- they never overcharge or upsell, and the pricing is very reasonable, which is great. I'd recommend them to anyone.

Recently had to lay my Daisy to rest. The staff was very caring. They allowed my family to say our good byes in a private room. She is pretty large dog, I was amazed at how the tech carried her to the room in her arms wrapped in a blanket and placed her nicely on a large pillow. I also received a empathy card with her paw print in the mail a few days later. Thank you all for your service and thoughtful gestures.💖

I can't say enough good things about this vet practice. I have trusted my cats and dogs here now for several years after moving. What has been especially eye opening is how good the service is compared to the price I used to pay for vet care at my last vet. They have always been able to accommodate our last second emergencies. They were especially caring and helpful when our last dogs life was at its end and helped make her passing more bearable with their kind service for molly. They really understand a pet-owner love and bond.

Have been taking my pups and cat for the past 5 years. They are very considerate with the needs of our pets. Couldn't recommend them more!

Our aussie puppy is currently 19 weeks old, and we've had him for 10 weeks. New Hope Animal hospital has been great - everyone has been great with our pup and he actually likes going to the vet! We're able to get appointments very easily and are also able to get in easily with walk-ins. One time we were on a tight schedule with finishing the pup's vaccines and had to do a walk-in; they were really busy that weekend, but were very accommodating in seeing us even though they were booked. They were transparent about the possibility of a wait time because they were booked that day, but we were so grateful they were able to squeeze our pup in (and wasn't even a long wait). They're incredibly responsive via email and phone when we have questions. We've had to request vaccine records on several occasions due to moving, puppy training classes, etc. and they've been quick to help and provided documents super fast. Would highly recommend!

We have been coming to New Hope Animal Hospital for the last 3 years. We love the vets and have always had fantastic interactions with all staff here. Most recently, one of our dogs received a large wound on her leg. They squeezed us into an already busy schedule on short notice. After several hours at the emergency vet the night before, we were even more grateful for how great New Hope has been. While we received adequate care at the emergency vet, New Hope's team is so much more friendly, helpful, and communicates so well. They are also so much more reasonable about pricing and not recommending superfluous tests. Every time we come in, they always go above and beyond our expectations to make sure our dogs have the best care possible. If you are looking for a new vet, we highly recommend New Hope!!

I’ve been bringing my animals here for over a year now and I always leave satisfied and confident in the services that they recommend and/or provide. As a former vet technician I can say this place is reasonably priced and provides excellent quality animal care. And every single person I’ve interacted with has been kind and personable. I’ve seen several vets here and have been happy with all of them. I’m grateful to have found a place when I can confidently obtain proper care for my furry family members.

I've been coming here for 4 years and I'm always happy with the quality of care and pricing of their veterinary services. Recently, I boarded my dog there for the first time during a long weekend and was looking forward to seeing my girl run to me after spending time away. To my surprise, when she came out she sniffed everyone in the room and didn't even care that I was there to pick her up! I'm happy that my dog's experience was very positive and that I can trust the staff there to make the boarding process as smooth as possible.

We are so thankful for the providers and staff at New Hope who have helped our older dog through a series of health problems (including surgery) this year. They have been very responsive, supportive, and extremely thorough every step of the way. The weekend/evening hours and transparency around costs are also great. Thank you Dr. Soren, Dr. Bush, both Emilys, Ann and everyone else for going above and beyond to take excellent care of our dog!

The best animal hospital I ever had. Dr. Soren is very nice and professional!!!! Our puppy had soft stool for a month at the first time we visited. He listened to us carefully about what happened and gave us helpful suggestions. He never ask us to spend money unless it is necessary. When the problem is not serious, he recommend to let our dog heal by himself and give us the prescription so we can get the medication anywhere anytime just in case. I can feel that he likes dogs and he cares about our opinion. The other staffs are friendly and helpful as well. We are moving to new jersey now. Hope we can find a hospital just as good as this one.

We LOVE and TRUST New Hope Animal Hospital! We have been taking our 3 dogs here for almost 6 years and have not had a bad experience. The staff and doctors are all very caring and knowledgeable. Trust is a big thing when it comes to health care for your pets. They can't communicate what they're feeling so you need to trust what the Vets are telling you and we trust the Vets at New Hope! I highly recommend them.
