My partner and I come here regularly, we love the atmosphere, the staff are always willing to help and chat. Great recommendations every time! We have found wine here we can't find anywhere else in the area.

We never used to be wine shop people, but since the first time we tried this place years ago we won't go anywhere else. They're always willing to give advice and the recommendations are always spot-on for us. The thorough tasting notes are also very much appreciated.

Drew is the best! I can email him and ask him to curate a case for me, when I'm not in the mood to shop. I'll tell him what types of wines I'm enjoying at the moment and what price range I'm looking for, and he'll prepare the perfect case and even put it in the trunk of my car when I pull up outside the store. He's incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about wine. It's the perfect place.

Great store with varied offerings and an intelligence staff. They frequently have wine tastings and sales so be sure to get on their mailing list.

Every business wishes they had service this good. Drew and the rest of his team always greet me when I walk in, let me know they're ready to help if I have questions, and when checking out are warm and friendly. The curated shelves of wine cover all the bases, with excellent options at all price points. This is my go-to place when I need a bottle or two for a nice dinner, to take to a party, or for a gift.

We first met Drew at a 'Wine Pairing Dinner' at a local restaurant. Drew knows his wines! He knows the region that a wine came from. They have tastings typically once each week and sometimes more often. We have been testing and purchasing wine from them for many, many years. I have learned a small fraction about wine and freely admit that my knowledge is limited, however, Drew has not steered us wrong. We have enjoyed every bottle that we have purchased and wowed our family at holidays based upon Drew's recommendations. It's an excellent local shop!

awesome selection of wines and a small selection of beer (if you're into craft beer, there are two other shops just around the corner). the owners make sure to keep your purchase history on file so you can repurchase wines you liked and *perhaps* don't remember the name of. they have prices from below $10-$50+ so it's a nice mix depending on how much you're looking to spend.

saturdays they do free wine testing on select wines and i believe a small discount on those wines.

Best wine store in Durham! I can't recommend Drew enough. Very professional with an excellent selection of wines.

Great selection of wine, beer, and the accessories that go along with. Hope Valley bottle shop offers you a lot of great finds at good prices and can help you expand your palate with their knowledge. I hate that I moved to the other side of Durham because this isn't as easy of a go-to now but I still stop by from time to time.

One of the best wine shops in the Triangle. The owner (Drew) knows his stuff, has a wide range of distributors, and is willing to spread the range from 'affordable weekly wines' to high-end wines on his weekly Saturday tastings. And the hidden gem is his mother's appetizers at the tastings! Friendly staff, they stock wine, sake, dessert wines/drinks, craft beer, and they have a wine station for sampling 4 whites / 4 reds (via purchasing a keycard) anytime you want. A reliable 'upscale' winetasting experience just minutes off I-40. So get here! (Drew also does plenty of wine dinners at some of the nicer restaurants in the area, an homage to his sommelier days).
