Little Creek Trail System

Trail flooded after a rain March 2, 2024
Me and my dog loved this little trail. It has many boardwalks and a great diversity of birds and frogs. My dog swims in the creek, and everyone we encounter is friendly. I recommend it. I hope they will build the bridge again.

Wow. What an amazing trail system. There are three different loops all over 1 mile. A beautiful creek, a very cool suspension bridge and lots of gorgeous big oaks. Very clearly marked. Well worth the adventure.

You'd never imagine such an extensive trail system lies right in the heart of this Chapel Hill residential area.
It's perfect to "get lost in" for a hike, trail run, or mountain bike ride. There's no way to truly get lost because the area isn't large enough. But there are enough dells, twists, turns, and foliage that you could almost imagine you're in a big state park. Perfect for escaping the hustle and bustle of the Triangle.

Love this trail, have so much fun with my little boy. We enjoy walking throw the forest 🌳

A real gem tucked into a nice residential area. Very convenient for the Rizzo Conference Center with back steps leading down to one of the trail heads.

This is a very nice place to hike. The trails are marked well although there doesn't seem to be an online map available to print out before you get there.

The Cedars trail is a pleasant walk, but there is a large bush of eleagnus located at 35.908,-79.003 that has the potential to spread and kill the surrounding native trees.

Nature at it's best. Great trails. Maintenance is not the best, though so we found a leader tree fallen blocking most of the path at some point. Plus we couldn't find a way to complete a circle and had to go back. Should probably form a crossing point in front of the entry point to the trails, connecting the red trail to the entry point. Was fun, though.

Great, but the trails go right through game lands which is not mentioned anywhere on Google or on the signs before you start a trail.

Very natural and deep in woods. Bring bug spray. Nice little trails.

Clear trails and well-marked until I got to the berm near the Little Creek Pond and I lost the trail. So I had to backtrack. I recommend that you take a photo of the trail sign for reference.
