Pretty yummy coffee, I asked for a spicy dirty chai tea with almond milk. It was 8/10 I wanted spicier. But it was pretty yummy. Same for the croissant sandwich. Worth the trip to get something good.

The staff is so friendly and upbeat. The food is as fresh as it comes. And so unbelievably filling and delicious! I definitely will be coming back. I’m sad I’ve missed out on it for two years without knowing it!

Been coming here about once a week for the past year, and I've tried almost everything on the menu at this point. Both the breakfast and the lunch are fresh and delicious. I love that they have extra condiments like hot sauce available. Good vegetarian options (try the black bean burger!) Removed 1 star for service because they've gotten my order wrong once or twice (out of dozens).
Owner is very friendly and the whole staff is awesome.

This is such a nice cafe, and the food is great. We had the scotch egg, BLT, one of their specialty burgers, and a delicious pecan chocolate chip cookie. I will definitely be back to support this small business!

This is one of my favorite breakfast spots in Lafayette. The espresso is great and the breakfast options are fresh and delicious. The spot is known for their scotch eggs which are amazing- highly recommend!

I heard that the scotch eggs here were worth trying, and they definitely lived up to the hype. I also tried the breakfast sandwich and black coffee which were both delicious. I also picked up one of their t-shirts and I was very impressed with the quality, the shirt was simple but well made and the fabric was very soft. 10/10 will definitely be back next time Im in the area.

Mindful and pleasant staff. Incredible Scotch Egg and Beignets. I was craving Beignets and the Scotch Egg was a awesome decision. Iced Latte was on point. I’m in from out of town on a work trip w my Hubby and of all the options I chose this one. Would recommend!

I went in they were all very nice to me with excellent service. Got to chat with the owner, Trey (I'm assuming that's the owner 🤔). I ordered the black bean vegan burger on a wrap with sweet potato fries and loved it. Perfect atmosphere and people to hang around.

Driving through Louisiana and wanted some beignets - Black Cafe definitely delivered! They were made fresh and were sooo amazing! Highly recommended. Thanks for the beignets!

so GOOD!! But y’all DONT BE IN A HURRY! their food and coffee are made with talent, heart and soul and time! We had a huge breakfast order and everything came out all at once hot and absolutely DELICIOUS. There were NO leftovers. The outdoor seating is exceptional and covid protocole is in place and respected by all the employees.
Super creative and ultra fresh tasting food. Wish we could have ordered one of everything but had to settle for one of each kind of thier scotch eggs !

Best boss I ever had, worked well with me. Very patient with his employees, very generous to his employees and customers. Definitely makes you feel like family. Very patient with the handicap. Very fun energy and cutting up when we work. His employees I worked with were so good and patient with me. I was blessed and still blessed in a lot of ways. If only I lived closer, I do volunteer work for Mr Trey.
He speaks highly of his family especially his wife, I've met his kids a few times, so adorable and friendly.

Fresh hot cute mini beignets and nice people!

Called in my coffee and pastry order while headed into Lafayette for work this morning. Love that! The blueberry scone was awesome! Picked up a sweet potato biscuit for my husband and he said his was very good as well. This will be my new coffee stop before work🙌

Excellent customer service...courteous, knowledgeable, prompt.
Excellent location with ample parking space for vehicles of various sizing.
Excellent management in delegating authority in keeping the restraunt clean smelling fresh & within organizational skills.
The foods ordered & served was prompt to my table..."2 Thumbs Up" to the cook on the food preparations. I & my guest were definitely satisfied. The prices being charged are within reason of other similar type restaurants offering the same or similar type foods. I'd definitely recommend this particular business establishment to family, friends, or the general public seeking the type foods served thereof.

EVERYTHING is excellent. Better than anything in New Orleans.

The food is great but they don't have regular French fries, they have sweet potatoes ones. I'm not a fan of that. The best burger they have is almost 20 dollars. It seems expensive to not come with fries. It's a nice environment and again the food is good.
