Corner Sushi

This was the second time I have eaten at Corner Sushi. Had the Godzilla roll again. It was very good, but not spectacular. Second time and I ordered the same thing, so it is good. Next time I will sit at the back sushi bar and enjoy the entire experience. Service was very fast and the staff is very helpful and friendly! Everything at the sushi bar looked very fresh and there was a wide variety to choose from. Price was $14 for my six piece meal. Not too bad for fresh sushi in this economy. I will write another review after I have the sushi from the bar. Yes, I will be going back!! Gator Man approved

Apr 2024: Came in on a Saturday night around 7:30-8pm. Place filled up fast and every table had diners. We got the yakitori, crab rangoons, 3 different sushi rolls (shrimp mango, rock n roll, crab), and chicken hibachi. Everything was fantastic! They even gave us a mini appetizer and mini dessert on the house! Also got 2 hot sakes. The experience here was amazing and food was excellent! Prices are fantastic too. I highly recommend!

The staff is super friendly, the environment is fresh, the service is great and fast! Most importantly, the food is delicious, sashimi is very fresh!!!

Food here is delicious and reasonable, making it a family fave to satisfy that sushi craving!

When you dine in they give you a free appetizer and cute little cake dessert, which is really nice. Service is quick, efficient, and friendly. Parking in the shopping center lot is plentiful. The interior is nicely decorated and a decent size.

The sushi is fresh and the specialty rolls creative and nicely sized. Soup, salad, tea, all wonderful. My daughter enjoyed their Unagi Don.

Overall you can't go wrong here whether you dine in or out. There are quite a few sushi places in the area, but this one provides a quality roll without breaking the bank.

The place looked great with dark theme on it. The staffs were very friendly and the service was good as well. Loved the appetizers more than the main entrees. Loved the Lady gaga roll than the other roll we ordered. Chicken katsu was alright. Shrimp and chicken hibachi was good, loved the noodles than came with it.
We got some on the house foods which was great. At first we got some wrap kind of thing with crab meat on it, which was good. Also, we our desert with got a small portion of on the house cake which was delicious. Loved the experience overall.

Absolutely one of my favorite sushi spots. Everything is always very very fresh, beautifully presented, and perfectly executed. The staff is extremely attentive and pleasant. Highly recommended!!

Exceptional sushi and service. Every employee was attentive to our needs. Got a free trial appetizer and a free sampler dessert. Child loved chicken teriaki. Highly recommend.

We ate here tonight for the first time and were very happy with our decision!! The staff is very attentive to their customers, they keep the food rolling out very quickly, and they have quality food and sushi!! This place was very busy and it was easy to see why, they have a wonderful business and lots of repeat customers. Would definitely love to eat here again!!

We enjoyed a Sunday evening meal at Corner Sushi in the St. Augustine South neighborhood of St. Augustine Florida. We enjoyed a tofu and vegetable tempura, salmon skin roll and soft shell crab roll. All were delicious. The sushi is aboveboard and they aren’t skimpy with the ingredients. Very satisfying. Very clean and pleasant ambiance and the wait staff is friendly, timely and attentive. I plan to return as soon as I can.

Great hibachi and sushi at what is probably the best price you'll find in St. Augustine.

While sitting at the sushi bar, the chefs treated us and other guests to a free course of thinly sliced salmon sashimi, with what tasted like a nice bright ponzu soy, seaweed salad, thinly sliced avocado, and cucumber.

The clear soup was a unique iteration that seemed to utilize fried shallots/onion for an extra boost of savory flavor that complimented the stock exceptionally well.

We also ordered spring rolls which were light, crispy, flakey, perfectly golden, and served with sweet chili sauce.

The Salmon Katsu is one of my go-to's, and their version is the best I've had anywhere.

The Spicy Salmon roll and Tokyo roll were also amazing and obviously fresh.

After we'd finished our food, our waitress brought us out a small, yet rich complimentary piece of an espresso cake that was a great way to close out the meal.

This place is a must try for any fans of Japanese cuisine.

We ordered the Sushi Love Boat for 2. It was enormous. We took half home.
In comparison to another sushi place here, this boat had much more food and larger portions. It came with soup, salad and a dessert.

Great place to eat! A nice little hidden treasure. Sashimi, nigiri and sushi were wonderful.

Came here with my sister on a Saturday at 2pm! Food was delicious, service was almost immediate, price was completely affordable— we each got soup, dumplings, sushi, and hibachi, all for 35 bucks. Our servers were kind and quick!! DEFINITELY worth coming here. A perfect little hole in the wall.

I want to start off with that I moved to Florida from Las Vegas a year ago and have been deeply struggling with finding food that had the same level of quality and service that I experienced there. So when I rate this 5 stars it definitely goes beyond that.

I was beyond giving up trying to find a place I love and could eat at everyday without tiring of it and I’m excited to say this place has definitely become a favorite.

The quality of the sushi was perfect. It easily made itself in my top sushi places based on quality alone. But it definitely goes beyond that. The presentation was stunning. The level of detail and care that they put it in was that of a high end restaurant. The service very similar. Not only for me but others in the restaurant. The staff was paying attention to each table from the corner being on top of any need. My plates where cleared moments after I finished and when I left something on them they asked if everything was alright with it (I’d been saving room for my main entree). Everything I had was beyond fantastic (tuna avocado salad, steamed gyoza, the lunch sashimi special) even the strawberry cake desert blew me away.

I write this review to say a genuine Thank you for such an amazing experience and I look forward to coming back!

The sushi is priced slightly higher than the place I go regularly. BUT, the places i go regularly don't come anywhere close at to this place! Just, WOW! Some of the best I have had in a long time. It was so incredibly fresh and well made. You even get a complimentary started and dessert. Any time I am in the area and want sushi, this is where I will go hands down!

This restaurant is always such a delight. Their lunch specials are an amazing value with the free sushi appetizer, salad, soup, entree, and delightful bite of a little free taste of dessert at the end. Quick service to get you in and out in time to head back to work.

I can't say a lot about the food because the only thing I've had is the sushi, and it is delicious. My husband and I usually order the love boat for 2 but ended up getting it for 3 this time (pics). The staff and sushi chefs are very nice.

Literally amazing! They offered us a free appetizer and dessert, and even gave us our soups for free! The food was inexpensive and freaking delicious… don’t know what just happened honestly, felt like I got reverse robbed… 😂
