I can say enough positives about this place! My daughter and I took a road trip and stumbled upon this treasure. Food was awesome and PLENTY of it. The wait staff was amazing and very attentive. Would definitely make the 2 and 1/2 hour drive to go back.

The bar looked great, with so many options, but we opted for fruit and omelets. The place has a somewhat mountain chic atmosphere. Great service by Alisha. Hope this place stays around a while; look forward to more Sunday brunches.

First , let me say that the service here is excellent. The waitstaff were very kind and helpful. The restaurant was clean and well appointed. My disappointment came in the food. I ordered a sirloin steak rare and it did come to table rare but the flavor seemed to be only on the outside and it was tough. I was also told I couldn't get a baked potato even though the menu didn't inform me of that fact. The ice cream dessert I ordered was wonderful and in a good amount. The french fries were crisp and tasty. The side salad was good but could use a revamp on ingredients. Not a bad dining experience but one that could be better. And the next time we were there, it was. The food, turkey this time , was so tender and flavorful, it made my mouth sing. Service was excellent as usual and we have been back several times.

We’ve only been there on a Sunday. The buffet is incredible! Absolute best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had. Also, best omelet I’ve ever had. Good variety of tasty options, and don’t even get me started on those luscious desserts! Can’t wait to get back down there. :)

Awesome buffet as usual on every Sunday 11am to 8pm. Chef Charles turns the ordinary into extraordinary. Best Pork Roast ever, and corn on the cob on a whole new level. So much good stuff, I could not try it all.

Desserts were to die for. Too many awesome choices.

We have started going to the sunday buffett from 11 am to 3 pm. Chuck is the nicest owner you will meet. I have never seen anyone meet you at the door and treat you so good. You good not get better service. They have an awesome salad bar. The steam table had to name a few bbq pork ribs, roast beef, fried catfish, low country boil,sweet potato casserole, and more. They had fresh rolls and my favorite mexican cornbread. The desserts were awesome . I cant say enough about this place. It is only open Thursday through Sunday. It is a little pricey except on Sunday . 15 a piece for all you can eat. It is at the intersection of Highway 157 and 48 in Cloudland Ga

This place has fairly recently reopened and I truly hope it is a success. The owners are wonderful and service is superb. There is an ambiance here too...attractive place with loads of potential. The food was very good and the server made sure everything was error free. The owners have ideas that are being implemented asap as spring arrives including low country boils and live music. I look forward to going back. The menu is pricey...which I would expect from the style and ambiance..but hopefully new offerings will include some less pricey options. Regardless...try this place.

Best resturant in Mentone, AL area!
We've been vacationing from the Florida panhandle and our best friends from Alaska and this place was awesome! We got there at closing as we were on central time! We were greeted so nicely but were told they were closed to our disappoinment. However, the hostess said: "let me talk to the chef," which happened to be the owner! He came out and explained they didn't have much food left on the menu, but did have a few steaks left and that he would stay open for us if we understood he was out of most sides. We were thrilled! We had the best salad bar ever and homemade soup! We all had mashed potatoes and steaks. Rib eye, sirloin, and two filets; cooked to perfection. Our waitress, Alecia (hope I got that right) was so great! The owner/chef came out after our meal to check on us! So personal and we met his wife. She does the fabulous deserts! Wish we were here longer to go back! But we will be back one day. Thank ya'll so much! Jennifer Scheibe

A Cloudland, Georgia joy of culinary goodness. The food I enjoyed was truly great and there was plenty of it. Highly recommend a visit for a really great meal at excellent prices and the staff is wonderful. There is a great buffet available on weekends that is a must do.

My wife and I have eaten at a lot of places but this is the best food north of Taylor ridge and maybe north west georgia. Sundays Buffett was to die for. Shrimp and grits the best I have ever had. The only thing wrong was I didn't have room for more. The only thing missing is your mouth. We will be back .

With a new Appalachian cuisine concept and fabulous new chefs, Lookout Restaurant just became the new go-to for everyone visiting the North Lookout Mountain area! They are focusing on fresh, local, organic and sustainable food from this area, as well as fresh seafood selections. Both hubby and I had special tonight, which was the Blackened Grouper and Seared Scallops Beurre Blanc, Polenta-style Grits Cakes, and Seasonal Local Vegetable Medley. For dessert, we had a fabulous Strawberry/Blueberry Short Bread with Fresh Homemade Whipped Cream. It was to die for! This is our new favorite restaurant!

The Thanksgiving buffet was really nice. Great food all around, didn't have one thing that I didn't like. The owners/staff were all really nice. Nice place, check it out.

Was a delightful place with great food, every thing from crab cakes to chicken parm. Service was great. Quiet and relaxing dining, so missed these days! Definitely on our short list of places to eat while in mentone, al and fort payne, al area.

GREAT place to eat. We visit here often, tonight was a special occasion, our 19th wedding anniversary. We had a really good waitress, Alisha.

This is a great southern buffet. The crab tomato bisque was especially good. The owner is a saint. You dying here and you invest in the kingdom.

Man what a meal....best meal I have had in a while.... Chattooga County if you haven't visited The Lookout Restaurant lately your missing out....talked with the new owner/cook Chuck ...they have Italian night on Thursday night, Friday and Saturday is salmon and flounder, and Sunday Buffett to die for....go see them!

Everyone is so friendly and the food is delicious! My very picky 9 year old loved the buffet and passed on dessert for extra meat and vegetables!!!

Nice cozy little place. Take wife for intimate evening, or family for daytime dining. Versitile menu that will fit any taste. Give them a try you'll be pleasantly suprised

Our visit to the Lookout was very enjoyable. The food and service was exceptional. We will certainly eat there again.

Love this place. Good food and super friendly service. We go there often, never been disappointed.
