Quiet hiking on the trail on a Thursday..quite noisy at the camp ground.. Overall it is a very nice park.. Clean and well maintained. Decent facilities and a noticeable presence of park Rangers.. the trail was very flat, wide, and very well-maintained. Very easy hiking this hike would be good for small children and older folks.

This was a nice campground with big sites Fayetteville private with the woods in between them. The nature trail to the lake is wonderful.

This Florida State Park is a gem in the rough. Its 3 miles back from route 1 right off of route 95. Small park with only 30 sites. Every spot is secluded from each other. The maintenance guy will even rake every spot out for the next campers. Wow it's like being in the jungle but with electricity and water at every spot. There is a dump station. Bathrooms are clean with showers. Perfect location to visit St Augustine. Loved this place!

Spent one night at site 22 in February. Beautiful long, winding drive through native Florida to enter the campground. All roads, paths and campsites are sand. Site was easy to park and level with easy connection to electric and water. Included fire ring and picnic table as well as clothes line (with included line). Walked both trails (.5 mile behind site #16 and 3 mile behind check in). We did see multiple signs to watch for ticks but did not see any. Did not use the one bath house or dump area. One to two bars cell signal with cricket/mint. No stations picked up by antenna. Very convenient to head into St Augustine and enjoy great restaurants! Very small campground loop that is close to I95 but never heard any traffic, just loud and echoing barking dogs from a neighboring campsite. A great stop on our way back to ocean front rental vrbo #4749786 in Cape Canaveral!

Our first time camping at this park. Let’s start with checking in. We were arriving on a Saturday afternoon. While on our drive to the park, we got a call from the park office to let us know they were closing early and wanted to give us an access code to enter the campground and setup. Very thoughtful and proactive!

The park and campground are well maintained, sites were clean and leveled. Lots of large trees. Hiking trails are well marked and well maintained. Bathrooms and showers are atypical of other Florida State Parks, showing their age but clean and functional.

Such an amazing adventure for father's day today ! The bathrooms were super clean compared to most nature parks , no trash and the woods are absolutely beautiful. the kids had an amazing time kayaking and watching all of the alligators in their natural habitat.. such a family friendly place to be 💕 thank you for the experience!

Wow. Beautiful. Saw 6 deer, all the sites are private and quiet. Thick with wild palms and oak. Spouse saw two armadillos near the site so watch your little dogs. The road going in is dirt and a bit rough but no problem with a trailer or RV. Try to get in before dark of you are backing a trailer because it's thick with trees and it's tight backing.

This is a really nice park. The campsites were large and we'll kept. No troubles with the water or electric. If I have a complaint it is that the bathrooms were not as well kept as some of the other parks I have been too. On the flip side, there was no shortage of hot water...so you win some, you lose some. The fishing dock and kayak launch were really nice. I would definitely go back. One thing to be mindful of. If you are tent camping (I was) depending on where your site is, you could be looking at some flooding. We were in spot 17 and a 20 minute down pour flooded our tent. Our friends were in Spot 20 and there tent took some water. So if there is rain in the forecast prepare accordingly.

Great park! Campground is nice and well maintained. Restrooms were kept clean and had nice showers and warm water. There are a few short trails to walk on and spots to launch kayaks or canoes. There is no camp store so bring everything you need before you get here.

This state park is beautiful and well maintained. Perfect place to launch a canoe or kayak into Pellicer Creek for a paddle. The shallow water prevents larger motor boats from accessing the area and it is very peaceful and clean out on the water. The bathroom facilities are well maintained and the picnic area is spacious with a nice playground for kids. This park is also removed from any developments and the rural environment is very relaxing.

Great rustic park! Don't expect any luxuries.. If you want to get away, this place is great for getting back to nature.. Good roads, a little narrow, but nice and level and they smooth it out once in awhile. Bathroom are nice and clean and trails are nice to explore. Watch out for the ticks, we got a few, and lots of big banana spiders.

Nice quiet place to stay, great weekend getaway. Wasn't crowded even with an almost full campground. Rangers were pleasant and very informative. Several trails to hike on. Nice boat ramp and kayak launch. There are a couple of pavilions for gatherings. Restrooms/ showers were always clean and stocked. The scenery is pretty. Going back in a couple months.

Down a wild and winding dirt road youll find this fabulous florida state park. It has lots of opportunities for a fun day including fishing, trails, kayak and boat launches and lots of birds and wild life to chase around.

Its definitely worth a stop

I came here to hike the trails. There are two nature walk trails totaling around 4 to 5 miles. All of the roads are sand. The southern side of the entire park is on Pellicer Creek. This entire area is full of alligators. You cannot go swimming. Also be careful, stay on the trail and check yourself for ticks. The bathrooms were clean and the boat launch was nice with floating docks. It was very quiet on the nature trails. You could not hear any cars. Overall. I would give this park a thumbs up for a nice day trip. I did not camp here.

Great hidden gem! There are nice camping sites in a wooded area, a boat launch, a canoe/kayak launch (and rental), and a nice picnic area with bathrooms. The facilities are clean and the trails are well-marked.

As usual another beautiful Florida state park, my site had been swept clean, the staff are friendly, nothing but a wonderful area! 35$ a night ele tric and water, dump on site, 35 foot trailer attached to a 18 foot long truck and did not have to unhook in my back up site, maybe not all sites however. Dogs on leashes welcomed, nice cook/fire ring provided and picknic table. Did not visit the washrooms, but there are some.

A very nice, well maintained and clean park with a boat launch, trails and campground. All set back from noise and bustle. Staffed by a helpful management team that dealt with a campground issue with professionalism. Thanks!

Great large private sites, great trails. Everything made sense there, garbage at the restroom, pump out at the garbage. QUIET! Loved it!
