DICK'S Sporting Goods

Stopped by for a tennis racket for my daughter. Every employee I saw greeted me and asked if I needed help. The store was very clean and organized. In a time where online shopping is at it's highest, I would still make this my first stop when looking for any sporting goods.

Well maintained and nicely laid out store. Was able to locate what I was looking for quickly and found excellent customer support at checking out with Marrisa.

My mom and I went and bought ourselves a pair of shoes that we’re happy with. Thank you to Mr. Chuck who helped us in the process. He was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Such a great store with a very helpful staff. As with any store, don't wait until the last minute when a season is about to start. Plan ahead!

This is an excellent find. I've been wanting to come here since I moved out to Ches last December and Friday was that day. I popped in around 2pm and there was hardly a customer in the store. Best kept secret, definitely, but not for long. This is without a doubt the flagship Dick's Sporting Goods in the area. It's bigger than the next largest one out at Lynnhaven Mall. In fact, it's almost the size of a Super Walmart.

I was here to pick up a new pair of Cross Training shoes, and knowing what I wanted, I was able to find the shoe immediately. I flagged down one of the ladies working in the department and she asked my size, punched it into a palm sized device and a couple of moments later the exact shoe I requested, not a size larger or smaller, arrived. I took them, put them on and tested them. The entire time talking with the helpful lady working the department. After testing to my satisfaction I boxed them, said thanks and walked to the front. There was only a brief moment's wait for a register to open, and again I encountered a super friendly and helpful employee. Purchase complete and I was on my way.

I want to point out that I interacted with 3 employees during my visit, the greeter, the lady in the shoe department and the final lady at the register. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Cheerful even, as if they were happy to be there. I'm talking customer support out of the wazoo. It really showed. If they keep that level of service up then I think DSG may be on to something that may other brick and mortar retailers and even airlines are could learn from.

An easy 5 star visit.

I had a rotten experience here on my last visit. It pains me to write this review after having a couple of stellar experiences here, especially when the store first opened however my latest visit sucked.

I was there to buy a pair of cross fit shoes. I already knew what I wanted and when I reached the shoe dept I picked up the shoe I needed, a New Balance, and took it one of the 3 employees hanging out in the dept, a tall skinny guy with tattoo sleeves on both arms.

He went to the back and came out with 2 boxes, neither which was the size I needed. I did give one pair a try and they were to small, and the other pair was obviously to large. At that point he said that was all they had and asked if I wanted to try the Nike's. No thank's I said, I wanted the New Balance. I was headed out to Virginia Beach and was going to ask him if he could check inventory and I would be happy to stop by and get them at one of the locations at Pembroke or Lynnhaven. However he disappeared and never came back. I waited about 10 minutes looking around and waiting for him or the other 2 employees that were hanging out there when I arrived. No sign of the guy or the others. I left...

BTW I ended up at Kohl's which is in sight right across the interstate from DICKS and found the shoes I was looking for there. You guys lost a sale.

Will probably be a while before I shop here again.

It’s very rare you go into a retail store that has great service and a great inventory. I came across a young lady named McKenzie who was very helpful and professional at the same time. She is a perfect example of what a direct representative of her store should be and the reason I will keep coming back!

Although there is always that one rotten apple in a bunch I am grateful for the ones who make it better. Such great customer service from the majority of the staff!! Thank you!

I have been to this location quite a few times but never spent as much time as I did last night in the fishing department. I was pretty amazed with the selection available for all types of fishing. Definitely worth a trip there as it's definitely a One-Stop shop for the outdoorsy type individual.

Went to pick up some .243 ammo. And by the heavens above they had exactly what I was looking for. The new Remington core-Lokt tipped 95 gr. And I was actually able to get more than 1 box. I was very happy to say the least.

I've never been to a Dick's before. I went today because they were the only store in the area that had the training shoes I researched. Store is s clean and well organized. Excellent variety of good quality merchandise & the most important part was the GREAT customer service! The lady was so nice & went out of her way to explain the difference in all the training shoes I wish I got her name and they have a great return / exchange policy even if you wear the shoes for a workout and find they arent the right match. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this location

Outstanding customer service and knowledgeable employees. While looking for Softball items for my daughter and I every single employee that I encountered was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. That is a rare thing nowadays. Thank you for the positive experience each time I’m there.

I ordered a few things online and went to pick it up in store. There ended up being an issue with my order and many associates were so helpful in making sure that I was already being helped! I was shocked because you typically don't get one person to even acknowledge you. While waiting I noticed that all the employees worked so well as a team especially since it was a busy Father's Day. They continously kept the line moving. Sam and Angel were the absolute best! They knew something was wrong with the order but they worked quickly to make the corrections. They even accommodated my wait and gave me a few things including a gift card to the store.

I just wanted to thank Sam and Angel again for the excellent customer service!

After visiting 2 other DICK'S Sporting Goods and not finding what I was looking for plus not getting much assistance from the salesmen, it was very pleasant to get the extra effort from James, at this store. When he couldn't find what I wanted in the store, he went to look in a truck that hadn't been off-loaded yet. After still not finding what I asked about, he volunteered to order the item and had it shipped to my home. And, all this with a smile and friendly attitude. A great store to shop again!

Cashier was very nice. I wish the people working in the tent had a better way to cool off though. Especially with hear indexes of 100+. Maybe a manager should stand out there and see what I mean.

This place has everything you need for the outdoors! My only suggestion is to price match. I found an $80 softball bat I wanted to buy for my daughter. I happen to Google it while in the store and found the same bat on Amazon for $46. That's one heck of a price difference. The store was happy to price match and sold it to me for $46 😊

Excellent . I had to get grips for my golf clubs and they were able to find what I was looking for. I dropped my clubs off and went back about a hour and a half. They had them ready in a professional finish. Great set of guys that work for you.

I came in today 4/29/2020 to get new hiking boots for a new job in the mountains. I’ve never owned hiking boots and had no idea what to look for or what the difference was between all of the options. The man working the shoe area was very helpful and gave me tons of information on different brands and styles, I didn’t get his name but he was polite and made my trip so easy!

Service and low prices !!! Be careful to do your pricing homework before you arrive. Dick's low price guarantee is worth researching the prices at other stores. While the other stores often do not have an item in stock, they often will have a lower price. Dick's has the hard to find items in stock. I saved $20 on a $100 purchase because Wally's World had a lower price.

If you ever want to see great customer service and someone who enjoys their job, look up Will in the archery department at this store location in Chesapeake. I called and talked to him on the phone on Saturday, when I came in on Sunday he remembered me by name. Will spent quality time setting up the crossbow that I purchased at the store, ensured I understood all aspects of my equipment before leaving. He represents your organization so well. When I was looking at hard cases for the bow, but not ready to purcahse, he reminded me that Dick's will do a price match if I find something at another location for a lower price. Give him a raise! You can't pay employees of this quality enough.
