Heavily wooded trail with paved road that is closed to vehicle traffic. Nice hike along a valley creek. 150 year old stone bridges that are still intact. Hike dead ends at edge of Fort Knox Army Base edge. Very close to another good trail Tioga Falls trail

A nice hike on paved surface. Out and back. Slight incline all the way in. Decline to return to trailhead. Next to a creek the entire length, mostly dry on our venture today. Random water falls coming from the rocks and a few in the creek that did have water.

This is a beautifully preserved portion of an old turnpike used during the 1800’s that is great for walking (paved with no motorized vehicles). It is about 2 miles long and has several old bridges to walk over. Some trails will allow access down to the water. It’s very peaceful and quiet. Good place to take a leisurely stroll. Please note, this is on federal land and you must follow posted rules.

Did you know? A famous movie scene was filmed at this location. The movie ‘Stripes’ starring Bill Murray; If you saw the movie, it’s the scene where Sgt Hulka is on top of the EM50 as it crashes through the ‘border’.

This was a fun, quick hiking experience. The majority of this hike is on a paved road through a shady forested area, there were some cool ruins to see with useful signs about the history of the area. There were neat arched bridges to walk on, as well as a cave right at the end of the hike that you can explore. The cave had a lot of cave crickets, a millipede, and a cute salamander or newt. There was nobody else on the trail when I went through it, so you don't have to worry about a crowd and can enjoy a peaceful walk.

A nice out and back trail through the woods. It’s paved the whole way, but closed to traffic. It’s also very flat so it shouldn’t be a challenge for most.

It passes over several old bridges and there are a few small waterfalls and one cave along the way. The cave is big enough to walk into and deep enough to need some lights to explore.

Plenty of parking at the trailhead.

Long “driveway” walk in the woods. Kinda neat little cave at the end. Easy uphill walk for a good distance.

The trail is paved and really wide, however there wasn’t much to see. The creek bed was pretty dry and the 3 bridges were pretty cool to see for a few minutes, not much else there. The Tioga Falls trail is much better and fun to explore the falls.
