Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Chesapeake

Clean rooms, great breakfast, convenient location and friendly staff. I have to single out the employee at the front desk, I believe her name was Colette. She is AMAZING!!! From the check-in to the check-out and every time I would see her in between, she was such a delight. So personable, knowledgeable and a BIG asset to your hotel. Thank you for such a great experience.

Stayed for one night on way to the Outer Banks. Hotel and room was clean and quiet. Staff at front desk was nice and courteous. After 12 hours of driving I was able to get a peaceful nights rest.

Comfortable and cozy room. Everything was clean. Shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower...so convenient! Great continental breakfast.

Convent location, rooms are clean and recently renovated. Pretty basic hotel but great for an overnight or business travel.

Very impressed with the staffs and cleanses of the hotel, especially Tracey and Jalissia. They made our stay very pleasant and the breakfast is very good too. Basic but very good. We highly recommend this hotel

They were under renovation. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was spacious. Bed was comfortable. Great weight room. The hotel was also safe. It was close to everything. I would go back

We were BLOWN AWAY by how great this hotel was!!! The room, beds, bathroom were all clean, soft, and beautiful. BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, the people running the place were so kind and accommodating to me and my family despite my daughter doing her best to make messes wherever she went. We were there June 30/July 1- in particular, the woman running the front desk all night, the 2 women handling breakfast area and cleaning, and the man who seemed to be doing many things but wore a baseball cap. If you hire more people like these 4 folks you’ll have a perfect hotel.

I visited for a week on business. The hotel was immaculate. Breakfast was excellent. The entire staff was very welcoming and helpful, but one person in particular stood out. Miss Tracy at the front desk made my visit enjoyable by not only helping me with all of my requests but also by making me smile every day when I entered the lobby! I intend to return back when I make more trips; highly recommended!

I used them for a room block for my wedding. Kelley and the staff went above and beyond. We are so thankful to them for working so hard and being so caring.

Tracy, the woman who checked us in, couldn't have been more delightful or welcoming for working overnight on Christmas Eve; her pleasant, cheerful attitude was a great start to a nice simple stay. Kelly in the morning was incredibly nice and accommodating as well. Even with things being under construction it was still a nice, seamless, and enjoyable stay.

Busy place by the airport. So many different places close by to eat and even shop. Staff was friendly and the room was clean.

I don't know why this location is ranked with only 2.5 stars, but this hotel is better than most 3 or 4 star hotels. Check in was a breeze. The staff was courteous, professional, and friendly. The breakfast could use an update though. The room was clean and well organized. It was quiet and I was able to sleep well. When we left, they were putting new mattresses in the rooms. The gym is small, but clean and usable. I'd definitely return to this hotel.

Although the breakfast used to be a lot better theres still plenty of good food and much better than most at this price point. The rooms are clean but the maids are seriously very nice and very friendly and care about what they do! One literally ran to get me fresh towels! Now that's great service! I stay here when I am in town if they aren't booked!

My son lives in Chesapeake, and when we go to visit this is where I stay.
There are lots of Marriott properties in the area. It's not the fanciest, it's not the cheapest. The rooms are basic, but very clean. Breakfast is standard. Coffee is good.
I come here because of the staff. These are some of the friendliest and most professional hotel people I've ever met. (I'm a Titanium member, so you know I've stayed in a lot of hotels over the years!) I've stayed at very expensive Marriotts who could learn a thing or two about welcoming customers from this little hotel in Virginia (I'm looking at you Toronto Marriott!).
This is the best place to stay in Chesapeake!

One of the cleanest hotels we visited the last few weeks. Professional and nice staff. Very close to shipping areas and several attractions.
Customer service and the cleanliness of the place are the major reasons to give five stars.
The lobby was well maintained and clean. Network looked secure even though it's open for guests. The business center was functioning with two fast computers and printers.

If there were 10 stars I would give them 10. The room had everything I needed. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The staff was great. I have a herniated disc and I am not able to stand to long so they were able to get me a shower chair. I will be back.
