Horse of A Different Color

I feel like this place has the same stuff on the shelves every year when I pop in. Prices are a little high. All in all pretty mediocre.

This area is filled with the kindest people and I can’t get over how rude the manager of this store is when she runs a local seasonal business that depends on loyal customers and a good reputation. Her name is Sally and she is condescending and treats her customers poorly. This morning my husband, two kids and I were walking and decided to stop and pick up a few things at this store on the way - it has cute typical beach stuff and we always show it to friends and family when they come to visit. I bought two dolls for my daughter that I knew were not the most amazing quality (but we have many toys that are not the most amazing quality and they don’t break in minutes). We stopped at the beach after shopping and opened the dolls and as soon as my five year old turned one of the dolls arms it popped off. My daughter was hysterically crying for the hour we were at the beach so my husband and I tried to pop it back in multiple times but had no luck. On our way back, I figured I would stop by the store to tell them what happened and try to exchange it for a new doll since it had been less than 90 minutes since our purchase. When I spoke to Sally and explained what happened, her voice was condescending, she laughed at me/ mocked that my husband and I that we tried to get the arm back in for an hour and said “come on it’s a 9 dollar doll.” I walked out and said “you know what nevermind, we’re not coming back here.” Here’s the thing sally, the customer is always right so if you don’t have an exchange policy that’s fine but tell your customers that when they purchase items so they are aware and then be sympathetic when they bring back a malfunctioned product and explain the policy vs laughing at them. I will share my experience with our family and friends as well. What an unfortunate event on what was a lovely Saturday for my family and I.

Manager was VERY unfriendly and wouldnt allow a return of an item purchased less than 10 minutes earlier. She said it was "used".
The only "use" was it was tried ot on in the store and again to show me the fit.

It was not a rash gaurd as needed, although sold to my daughter as one. It was a hooded spf shirt. It was baggier than needed inthe sleeves so wouldnt work as the rash gaurd needed.
We had the reciept and handled it calmy, but the manager stormed off saying It is a rash gaurd and Im not allowing ot to be returned.
