Logger Bar

Located in the center of the Universe, the Logger bar has been serving libations for longer than any of the locals can remember. Truely a slice of Humboldt history not to be missed. With the new owner the place has a friendlier vibe and cleaner too with the addition of a outside seating area in the front for those all so often sunny blue lake days. Don't miss the music as it is one of a kind.

This is easily the best bar in Blue Lake/Arcata/Mckinleyville area. The atmosphere is phenomenal and the staff are even more so. It reminds me of the bars back in Wallingford, Oxfordshire (UK). A place to go for a drink and chat after work. Everyone is friendly and there’s amble entertainment depending on the day (live music, theatrical shows, and karaoke).

Also Lindsey, Lauren, and Logan are some of the most lithe and likable bartenders in the county 😃

Sweet bar in Blue Lake! Cool decor. Great bar games. Hit up the free ping pong day on Tuesday 🏓 yummy kombucha on tap. Got to play a piano. Free wifi. Delicious coffee ☕ even!

I simply loved this tiny little bar in the tiny little town of Blue lake California! They had an excellent band. These guys were likely 65 years plus and they were extremely pleasurable. The bar staff was extremely attentative, funny and handle crowds wonderfully without leaving anyone waiting for a drink for too long.
A food vendor was cooking chicken on the street corner outside of the bar. It smelled delicious!
The crowd ranged from 21 years to 85 years! I left The Logger Bar with a big smile on my face and a skip in my step. Simply amazing how welcomed I felt. Totally reminded me of the golden days past when folks were neighborly and kind at all times.

A 5-Star rating might be a bit strong, since I've only been to this bar one time... but the atmosphere was awesome and the staff very professional and nice. When I went there I expected a typical half-dirty laid back pub... but I was surprised to find a very clean and very decorated bar. There are decorations all over the place that keep a redwood/logging theme -- from huge drag saws hanging from the ceiling, to extremely large circular saw blades embedded into the floor (that couldn't have been an easy task). The bar is clean, and everything has that dark wood charm and feel. Prices were good, the selection was good, and I really appreciate the staff -- very professional and friendly.

I've heard about this bar for years, but yesterday was the first time I've visited, the decorations sure put me in the Christmas spirit and I love the vibe of this small town watering hole, I'm definitely looking forward to coming back, for more Steelhead's and maybe some live music!

My favorite bar in Humboldt County. The owner is great and the place has free live music just about every weekend. It's true what they say; they have the coldest beers on tap in the county. Also, the pool table is well maintained and still only costs 25¢ a game.

We (our Irish dance troupe) performed there the last 2 night. Was great fun. The new owner was very nice.

Must stop if you are in Blue Lake, CA. Decent blues band on Thursday.

Awesome little dive-y bar. They have live music and drink specials, really nothing more you can ask for from this place. Cool decor and charming atmosphere.

Great little pub with local tap beer, live music at the weekend, pool tourneys and (my favourite) table tennis on a Tuesday night!
Lots of historical tree felling paraphernalia adorning the walls.

Friendly place with a glimpse of Humbolt’s logging culture in it’s decor. Usually lively ping pong going on. Management is generous to musicians who occasionally gather.

Just went out for a evening first time since covid, I still wore my mask for safety but I did enjoy myself.
