Kaleidoscope Park

My son and I had a great time visiting with my mom and his grandmother here. Most of the playground area has a fenced boundary, especially over in the spots with equipment for smaller children. This makes it very nice for being able to go and relax with friends or family while keeping an eye on your kids in an easily contained space. The handmade wooden castle towers are a real treat to play on. You could definitely spend hours here on a good game of tag or hide and go seek. It is definitely a unique park in its construction and detail. It's a lot of fun for me to come back here with my son because my own father was part of the city volunteer crew in Wadsworth Ohio who helped construct the original Kaleidoscope back in the mid 1990s! All in all, a great place to spend a nice day outside. Plenty of room to run and play even during busy times. There are also ball fields, pavilions with shade, and restrooms in the same area. We will definitely be back to play again!

We always have a wonderful time every time we visit kaleidoscope Park. Be cautious of the skunks we saw a jiggly chunky happy little guy running into the play area. We went at night so I was a little nervous we were going to get sprayed but all is well on the swings. Do you have a bathroom but be aware it does not open until May 1st and there are some young punks doing donuts in the parking lot. Needless to say it is a nice place to visit with your little ones just stay away from the critters aka Pepé le pew :)

I truly loved bringing my children to the Kaleidoscope when they were younger. We would have little picnics and then back to play some more. Now my children are all grown up, but they used to bring their children here to play. It's a GREAT place to bring your children to play if that's what you want to do.

Great place, too bad the huge wooden play area is being g demolished as of 4/22/2024 😢

It was a lotta fun. Sadly I was too big to enjoy it as much as a child, but for such an old park it’s really great. I wish I would have had the pleasure of enjoying this park as a child.

Listen, I cannot express to you in enough words how amazing this park is.
1. Most kids are absolutely blown away when They see the size of the main playground.
2. There’s a frisbee golf course that me and my daughter like walking on, as if it’s a trail.
3. There is a pond there that I see people fishing at, you’ll find it when you’re done walking the frisbee golf trail.
4. There’s a “hidden” Second playground next to the Pond.
5. There’s a football (possibly soccer as well) stadium here.
6. As an added bonus, airplanes fly over this park very frequently, I believe there’s an airport nearby, and I’m also pretty sure that they practice fight school above this area, the kids absolutely love seeing the airplanes.
7. there is a volleyball court with sand
8. Numerous places to sit down and eat
9. Clean, open, and well-kept bathrooms
10. Tennis court

In conclusion, this is single-handedly probably the best park in the area that we’ve been to so far, there are so many things & places for us to explore and see, we need more parks like this!

Bits of the equipment definitely need some maintenance, oiling, some tightening of loose parts (nothing dangerous that I saw) but a great playground for kids
