Cupcake Charlie's

What a fun place! The cupcakes are super tasty so of course we had to go back again! There were dozens of varieties and the decorations were stunning. Most of our party couldn’t make up their minds but the staff was super patient and helpful. Got go and try one, but don’t be surprised if you walk out with more !

Today, we only got ice cream, but we had their delicious cupcakes before. They are rich in flavor but also very light. The service was friendly.

Beautiful and delicious cupcakes. Also have frosting and cake shots which are a fun twist when you don’t want to commit (or want the calories) of a full cupcake. Had good shakes as well - we tried the coffee and chocolate ones. Coffee selection is limited (decaf, regular, or French vanilla with no real add options) but excel in their speciality areas.

Cute little shop of sweets, the smell is really nice. They have a variety of sweets and ice cream. For those that need gluten-free stuff, the ice cream is safe as long as it’s in a cup. They also have gluten-free carrot cake and other sweets on the top shelf. Very delicious, we weren’t disappointed. We got the carrot cake, the butter bar, and the cake cup. For anyone looking for a dessert, this is the place to be at.

Cute shop in downtown Newport. They had a good selection of classic and seasonal flavors- I got the mint chocolate cupcake and I was extremely impressed! Subtle mint flavor and the cake was incredibly fresh and moist. Would definitely stop here again.

Really Awesome Cupcakes! I wanted to try them all. This place was actually on Cupcake Wars. I go here whenever I can.

Smells so freaking good and tastes even better. The service was friendly and the dessert great!

I LOVED the gluten-free carrot cake! My kids loved the cake pops and milkshakes! What a delectable little store!

Orange Creamsicle cupcake was awesome, a seasonal item I would def get again. Cupcake is flavorful and moist.

These were some top shelf cup cakes. Definitely not grocery store mass-producing stuff. The frosting is creamy, and filling inside was a pleasant surprise!!!! I recommend the "hostess with the mostess".

Charlie's, is My go to place for a cupcake, boy I do love there frosting! I love there whoopee pies, that's something you don't see to often. Nice coffee, I cream, pleasant service, fairly priced, it is Newport. City by the sea. You can sit in or out. This place was clean for the amount of traffic! You're best parking, and Walk up the brick mkt place. Enjoy 👍🍀🌺

Best cupcakes I have ever had! Mint Madness is my fav. I ordered a couple dozen for a bridal shower, and they were a massive hit! Pretty and yummy— butter, not shortening in the to-die-for frosting. 🧁

Holy yum!! The staff was so polite and friendly! The store is very clean. I had the Cupcake of the Day which was Pineapple Dolewhip. Wow!! If you could put summer in a cupcake, this was it. They have so many to choose from including gluten-free options. I will definitely be back.

All of the treats we ordered were great, but the ooey gooey butter cake thing was absolutely phenomenal! We also left some souvenir stickers there and they were kind enough to mail them to us! If we lived in the area, I’d definitely be a regular!

My husband and I came back to Rhode Island for our 23rd wedding anniversary and stayed in Narragansett at The Shore House. We came to Cupcake Charles in June for my birthday while staying in Newport. These are the best cupcakes you will taste. Lots of choices and designs. I love the lemon with lemon icing and lemon in the middle! So good. I also get the vanilla and one called hostess that taste just like the hostess cupcakes from back in the day! If you are in the area please visit them. The ladies are very pleasant and helpful! Also patient while you choose. They also have other treats on their menu. Enjoy!
