Ohio Mutual Insurance Group is slow to respond and is not following through with their responsibilities. One of Ohio Mutual Insurance Groups policy holders rear ended me. It took their team 15 days to get me my claim check after the shop I chose reached out to them, and the check was received by me on a Saturday. I scheduled the repair the following Monday when the shop was open, and they had availability the following week on Tuesday, which is normal for a good shop. The claims agent, who was slow to respond on every inquiry, blamed be for taking too long to find a shop. It took me 5 day, because the claim opened on Thursday, which encompassed a weekend, and a lot of shops are not open on the weekend. Also, Ohio Mutual Insurance Group requires you find your own shop and has no remote Estimators in my area. They are refusing to extend the rental car for a few more days. The agent blamed me and took no responsibility for how long it took to receive the check. This has been very stressful because I use my car for work and travel three states extensively. I want nothing but to be in my own car, however Ohio Mutual Insurance Group has a slow process, and hard-set rules that do not allow them to manage extenuating circumstances. Insurance companies are supposed to make you feel like everything is taken care of, but that has not been my experience with Ohio Mutual Insurance Group. If you want fast responses, and an agile team Ohio Mutual Insurance Group is not the choice. I am truly unhappy with my experience. If you a looking pick some else, if you are unfortunate enough to get hit by one of their policy holders go through your own insurance.
