I have been living in Lewis Center for a couple years and somehow never knew this place was as close as it is to me. We ordered tonight and were not disappointed. The food portions for the price were great and everything we ordered was excellent and hot. We will definitely make this are go to place from now on for Chinese.

I had ordered to go in order to take to my parents who were craving some Chinese. It's been quite a few years since I've had this location and I have to say that I'm surprised that I haven't gone back sooner! The food was hot and delicious. The portions were very large for what you're paying. The pricing was great. I absolutely will be ordering from them again and will not be waiting so long this time! Like I said, the pricing is really good. The portions are fabulous. The only thing I didn't like was my egg roll but I'm kind of picky when it comes to egg rolls so not something really I would order again. I did order their cashew chicken and that was amazing! The ratio of chicken to cashews was awesome. Their brown sauce very very good. Parking can be a little weird because it's in a plaza with a bar butt. There is plenty of parking. You just might not be able to park right up front. It's decently easy to get in and out of off of southold State. Just followed the signs. If you need to go northbound to Polaris. Overall I would recommend them and I will absolutely be back in the future

Really good food. Hot and fresh. The crab rangoon and egg rolls are some of the best I’ve ever had. The general Tsos is perfectly spicy without being too hot. The service and staff are really kind. Absolutely a hidden gem in the area. Oh. My. God.

One of the best hole in the wall places EVER. Me and my roommate get the General Tso chicken and orange chicken at least once a week. You get a price cut by ordering take out versus sitting down. The price in general is super reasonable. $23 for two meals that last us two days (they're big portions). The chicken is perfectly crunchy / spicy / tender. 😩 I'm making myself hungry typing this.

They also have gluten free options!!!!

EDIT: At this point we've tried almost everything on the menu. Nothing is bad. Everything tastes amazing.

Wonderful family owned spot. Best cashew chicken in town - very much like Hunan House’s cashew chicken, for those who remember. We’ve had several different dishes and all of them have been fresh, delicious, and very satisfying. Great portion sizes and good prices. We’ve been several times and we’ll be back again and again!

One of those places you'll keep coming back to. The food was amazing. Steaming hot and the taste makes you keep eating even when you're full. You won't be disappointed.

We have found ourselves eating here quite often the last six months or so. The lady that runs the place is awesome! She is very friendly and appreciative of the business. They automatically apply a ten% discount on carryout orders. I think there war su gai is very good and Huge! I also like their general tso's and their orange chicken. Sometimes the chicken gets a little dry, but other than that, it's delicious. Their egg rolls are incredible as is there hot in sour soup! I highly recommend them.

I've been a customer since 2007(ish) and i think it's one of the best American Chinese restaurants that's been on Polaris forever! The staff is always so kind and even when they're unable to deliver (staff shortages), it's worth going out to pick it up! When I'm craving AM Chinese food, they're my go to place! No matter the dish, the meats are always tender and cooked perfectly and savory dishes always hit the spot! It's a clean and modest dining room, but I'm usually ordering take out because it's on my way home. I really love this place!!

My family has been ordering takeout from this place for a long time. It's amazing, I highly recommend going here. The Sesame Chicken is my favorite (without the water chestnut).

Was in the area doing work and decided it was time to eat. Looked up this place and the reviews were good and I liked the menu. Ordered some food to go and said I needed some plastic silverware. Food was excellent, piping hot at the time promised, owner gave us plastic ware and plates with our to go order. Portions were nice sized so I have leftovers for tomorrow. All three in our group had chicken dishes and the chicken was tender and very good. Next time I am in the area and want Chinese I am definitely calling this place again

We ordered delivery and the wait wasnt long at all.. I got spicy kungpao chicken/shrimp and it was very good, very spicy but good. My daughter got her sweet and sour chicken and she liked hers as well. They seperate the sauce from the chicken so that it doesn't get soggy so that's a plus as well.. the portions are large so there's room for seconds later! Thanks, we will be back!

Best Chinese food around! The food is delicious and the staff here is so friendly. Prices are reasonable for the portions. Also they have Gluten free options. Give them a try!

Best in the area. Their hot and sour soup is amazing. Good lunch specials. Enjoyed everything I've tried here and been going for years (usual my go tos are garlic chicken or general tso)

The owners/staff at this restaurant are very kind! We dropped in and placed a takeout order, and they gave my son some chocolate candy while he waited. The sesame chicken is made with large pieces of chicken breast which are lightly battered, and the sauce isn't overwhelming. The egg drop soup isn't to my taste (too much carrot and black pepper), but I imagine others enjoy the extra flavor.

Today was my first time ordering from Hunan J Restaurant and I have to say it was delicious! The egg rolls was just like I like it...Crispy and the Garlic Chicken (1st time to try it) was really good too. I got the lunch special and for the price it was worth every penny! I will definitely be back and recommend it to others!

Like other reviewers have said, food is really good and a great value. I would highly recommend and will be back next time I am in town. Very much a takeout spot but you can eat inside too
