Our whole family loved everything we ordered, and the service was amazing. It's very hard to find good places to eat and dine in these days. Ugly Rooster hits all the sweet spots for any family and from me to you...it comes highly recommended. Their French toast is seriously delicious. The FogHorn LegGorn breakfast burrito was righteous, and the crisped breakfast potatoes were perfectly crisped and delicious too.

Everything was fresh, flavorful and delicious from the fried green tomatoes, to the rye bread, from home the home fries (crispy, delicious top and soft spuds) to all the veggies in the omelette. The Yummy Cake was to die for. The service was efficient and professional but the best part was it felt like the waitresses were taking care of you in their own home - they were friendly, attentive, and warm. If you've never been and you're not sure if this is the right choice, it is. The Ugly Rooster is definitely the place you want to go. We will be returning!

This place has got it going on.

It's big, it's busy and it's good cooking. Has that classic diner vibe all over it. Family owned and operated.

My first time there and I got the Harvest Cakes. Expected the sausage on the side, was surprised that it was cooked into the pancake. Was good regardless. Reminded me of a sausage corn dog but way better.

My Dad got the Eggs Benedict. He said it was good, I didn't get to try any ☹. The home fries that came with it were my favorite thing of all.

My Mom got the strawberry waffle. Pretty good 👍

Prices are good too. Only questionable thing is the parking. Don't worry, it's fun

It was our first time here, but definitely not our last! I can't speak about how awesome the staff was. Everyone was friendly, helpful and and truly liked working there.

The portions are plenty and happy that my husband and I shared the farmers' omelet. My mother in law had the GF blueberry pancake, and we all loved it!

Another Great meal at the Ugly Rooster! I love coming here and I couldn’t spend my birthday in any better way! I had French toast with pastry cream and strawberry shortcake for a birthday surprise!

Everything except the home fries was very good. I am only pointing out the homefries, because no one at my table of 7 liked them. There were two other tables that did not eat them either. This is to help the owners since this place is a gem. I will continue to eat there. I love Cup O Benny!

Right price right food! Loved atmosphere here very friendly people. Got little store in the back where you pay and get more to go if you’d like

The best food in mechanicville! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, we just moved here and they make us feel like we've lived here for years. My personal favorite dish is Nicks famous french toast with blueberries.(in the picture I had strawberries this time😁)

Food is bangin! Service is excellent. Waitstaff are super nice and friendly. New favorite spot for sure.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Amazing food! Stopped in for breakfast with a friend. I had the Italian breakfast sandwich which was absolutely delicious. My friend raved about her meal, French Toast Bananas Foster, which looked incredible. The portions were very generous, the food was served hot and flavorful and the coffee was absolutely perfect!

This place is legit for breakfast. My best friend got fried eggs with some cheddar cheese melted on top, home fries that looked cooked very well. I got some of the most legit corned beef hash I've ever had. Like, take good ol'Irish corned beef out of the Crockpot, including all those fatty pieces, and fry it up with those potatoes kind of legit. Then we ordered a blueberry muffin grilled and buttered. I was shocked at how light it was - not dense like poundcake. Everything was delicious, coffee kept flowing, waitress was a doll. This might be one of my new favourite places.

Great Breakfast find,the French Toasts was excellent one of the best I’ve had.

Went here with my husband for breakfast, he had the harvest pancakes, which were awesome. He rarely said awesome. I had the egg Benedict, which had thick ham. And the waiter Kyle was very attentive.

My friend took me here telling me how good it was and he was not exaggerating. I had the fried green tomatoes and the Ay Caramba salad in a fried tortilla bowl. Everything tasted great and I left knowing that I was going to return.

Went on a busy Sunday for brunch. The wait for food was a a bit long but the food made up for it. Ordered the Yummy French Toast. And it definitely was "yummy." Cinnamon roll French Toast with glaze and it was DELICIOUS! Definitely coming back next time I'm in town.

Omg the food is delicious and so filling. We had the Farmers Scramble and 2 eggs with load home fries and a side of hash❤. Definitely gonna go back again. Our waitress was so friendly.

Every dish I've ever tried here has been delicious. Can't go wrong with any of it. I especially love the banana fosters French toast and burgers. Plus the service is fantastic!

Their 2nd location opened in Malta at the site of the old diner. This site demonstrates that they provide excellent food at the right price, AND, they care that you have an excellent dining experience. If you haven't been there yet, you're missing out on a real culinary treat!! Try their amazing homemade soups and their best in the area breakfasts and lunches. Try their new Chicken Sandwich and other offerings.
