Ontario Knife Co

I've seen nothing but top shelf products come from Ontario Knife Co.
My RD6 is as stout as an axe and stays razor sharp with minimal effort.

My Step-dad came from Holland a long time ago and settled in Niagara-on the-Lake and he was a butcher. I have inherited his knives and one says Ontario Knife Co. on it so I had to look it up and yes it is very close to the border. I am in Vancouver, Canada, and he moved out West after many years in the East. I just thought it would be a great story to let people know that your knives are not to be forgotten and that it is great to see you still have the store open!!...thank you, I get a lot and have got a lot of use out of the butcher knife; I still use it all the time!!..lots of character for sure!!

I loved your product until I got a defective one, and you wouldn't help.
Mine snapped where the blade connects to the rod. I've called and emailed the company and they will not respond. I also know this must have been an isolated incident, the Ontario bayonets we had in the USMC never broke, even when we tried to break them.(that's the reason I bought this) Worse customer service I have ever seen. I have made so many efforts to contact your company, check your email, or phone records. I'd say go with Kabar.

Products are outstanding. I own almost every one of their folding blade designs.....that being said....this is the worst customer service experience I've had in a long time...and if you are Canadian. DO NOT EVEN BOTHER.

I contacted customer service to inquire about a warranty issue, and was advised that there is nothing they can do to assist because I'm in Canada (they were certainly able to assist in taking money for their product though) and was advised to look for a knife repair place out of pocket..

Essentially, unless you are in the United states, this relationship is over, once you make a purchase, and your warranty is immaterial.

ESSE makes identical blade designs with better material, and their customer service support is second to none. Avoid OKC if customer support is important to you.

Cheap piece, inappropriate steel. Rust appeared after one hand wash.
Support team doesn’t support at all. They answered my email once with a refund offer but then they disappeared.
What should i do to get my refund for this ?

I bought a huge knife and it shattered on a 3/4" green tree. I will never buy another one because they wouldn't replace it. That was the first time I used it. The blade was tempered wrong. I don't recommend Ontario knife co to anyone!

I got a butchers knife. The Old Hickory one. The bevel is so wavy it looks like a beginner did it. The tip is very blunt. It will make it difficult to sharpen. The tang isn’t matched to the handle. I’ve emailed them twice about it and they must have decided to completely ignore me. With all of the good quality, stainless steel knives on the market that have professional quality knives and good customer service, I’d advise everyone to avoid this carbon steel knife and the junk that they WONT stand behind. Sad part is I didn’t even ask for a replacement or anything. I just asked if the knife was supposed to resemble a hand made model. And if so, I would have been perfectly happy. Their lack of response tells me they don’t have quality or future customers as a priority.
