Mill Pond Inn

So good!! We came here on a whim, being up in the area for just a night and not having dinner plans. We were able to get a table easily because it was still super early but the place was packing up as we left. The food was so incredible! We had the fried artichokes, seared ahi tuna, and one of the specials, which was seared scallops with parsnip puree and asparagus. Every bite was amazing and we were just blown away. Compliments to the chef here! Service was amazing as well. We loved the cozy tavern seating right in the front but then opted to move out to the heated deck with the pond view because it was still light out. Highly recommend.

I wish we took more photos. The fried artichoke was quite possibly the best thing I’ve ever eaten in my life. I am a vegetarian and I ordered the special which was like a mushroom wellington. Oh my gosh, my taste buds didn’t know they were going to experience such delicious food.

What a great find! We were from out of town, but holy moly please go here if you live around in the area. You will not be disappointed. The house made bread was also so delicious!

While staying in Grand Gorge our daughter recommended Mill Pond for dinner. We couldn’t have been more pleased. The atmosphere, the service and graciousness of the host were amazing. We were equally pleased with the menu as everything we ordered was delicious. And as an extra bonus, the live music that night was a real treat. Next time we are up there we will definitely be back.

Mill Pond has been our family's go-to for years, and it never fails to impress. The thoughtful touches, from live music to the charming Photo Booth and engaging activities for kids, showcase their attention to detail. Stepping inside feels like entering a second home, with inviting fireplace and cozy couches in the main dining area. The owners, who consistently exude pride, personally greet us each time, ensuring a seamless experience. The culinary offerings are consistently spectacular, making it a standout dining destination. I can't emphasize enough how genuinely wonderful our experiences have been.

Thank you for a lovely stay at MIll Pond Inn. The room was lovely, and it was immaculately clean with beautiful, high end linens and amenities. The Inn is charming, in a gorgeous location with a view over the pond. David provides 5-star service with local provisions for a delicious continental breakfast. This place is very good value for the overall experience. I will certainly return.

The wait staff was fantastic. The food was amazing. So full of flavor and the presentation wow. The restaurant itself was a beautiful setting and very inviting. Can’t wait to go again.

This is a must have place to go to eat. We went there on Wednesday which is pizza night from 5-8pm and the pizza was made fresh from the outdoor pizza oven. I got the margarita pizza which was awesome. Also there is a pond in the back with tons of seating options inside and outside (even one in front of the pond)! There is also a little trail that’s like 2 minutes starting across a bridge to go to the other side of the pond which there is a bench to sit! Overall, amazing place and food highly recommended.

We had a really good meal. We decided to sit in the bar, which has much more of a cozy atmosphere than the high ceiling-ed main dining area. The steak was great. Holy moly, the artichokes were out of this world. We’ll certainly be back for special occasions.

We had a number of our guests stay here for our wedding weekend and everyone absolutely loved it! We also hosted our brunch there on Sunday and the food was out of this world. We can't wait to celebrate anniversaries at the Mill Pond for years to come.

Had a wonderful stay at the Mill Pond Inn. The room was charming, cozy and clean. We had 2 excellent dinners at the restaurant. But most importantly, our hosts David and Joan were warm, friendly, and treated us like family. Already planning our return trip. 5 stars

We had our wedding here. I cannot put into words how incredible our experience was at millpond. From the very beginning Dave and his wife (the owners) made us feel like family. The way they greet you and cater to every need. They had no problem answering my billion emails and questions. They had no problem making changes and adjustments to make things work. The staff was incredible. We stayed the weekend there and it was so beautiful and cozy. I genuinely wish I could do it all over again just to soak in every moment. People are still telling me how incredible our wedding was and how beautiful the venue was. It was affordable and the food was top-knotch. I have zero complaints.

Absolutely loved our Easter weekend at Mill Pond Inn. The Inn was beautiful and our hosts made us feel right at home. Dinner was superb, cocktails were lovely and we enjoyed them both on the terrace and by the fire (pla perfect place to quietly read the books we bought that day at the Hobart Independant Book Village). Our beautifully decorated room provided a great night's sleep to boot. All in an absolutely beautiful setting of rolling hills and picturesque ponds. Can't recommend enough!

We sat on deck overlooking the pond, the views and atmosphere were great. The service was fantastic, every meal delicious and the wine was superb. I would definitely come back.

Vacationed in the town and had our anniversary dinner here. Place was busy in the early evening (5pm), however we were able to get an indoor bar room table as all others were already reserved. Food was cooked well, and had a nice presentation. Sesame chicken app was our favorite. We had a steak, and though it was tender and cooked perfectly, it wasn't our favorite. It wasn't "bad" but we weren't impressed. Not something to knock a star off the rating for. We returned for a second night as all other restaurants were closed and this place was the only restaurant open. W were and to get a porch take and that was amazing! Much worth eating outside and watching the beavers swim in three pond. Food was great the second night as well.

My girlfriend and I ate dinner here at the recommendation of some friends. They raved about this place and it totally lived up to the hype, and more!

1. The food was phenomenal. Every menu item we ordered, from appetizers to dessert, was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. The chef here is a mastermind.

2. The service was outstanding. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful and welcoming. They were all very attentive and accommodating.

3. The ambience was idyllic. The restaurant has a cozy charm to it. The natural surroundings make for picturesque views while eating. We dined on the back deck, overlooking the pond where ducks were casually floating around. And there was a musician playing soft, sweet melodies on classical guitar.

All in all, one of the best dining experiences we've ever had! I highly recommend this place to anyone.

So much yum. Always has amazing food. Specials rotate all the time. Very cozy, our go-to for date nights.

The rooms are beautiful, the claw foot bathtub great, the restaurant serves really good food and live music. The breakfast was excellent, granola, high quality ( and rare ) yoghurt, fruit and muffins. Lovely owners, great friendly dog. I would warn it can be a little noisy at night in the room, probably from the bar below but it's manageable. Quietens about 11pm ish. Would return though without hesitation.

This place was fabulous! A true hidden gem! Food was absolutely delicious. You must try the artichoke fries! A very warm and cozy atmosphere, service was superb. They had an extraordinary drink menu too. Would highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back again.

We celebrated my husband's birthday here. Every step from the twinkle lit walkway through the door to the main dining room past the guitarist and to our seats on the enclosed and wonderfully heated deck was beautiful, warm, and inviting. The service was nicely attentive and well executed. Excellent really. And the FOOD!!! We ate every bite and we're more than satisfied. We left with full bellies, laughs and memories, and big smiles. We will definitely return.

Beautiful property. Well appointed rooms. Surprisingly luxe for the Catskills. David (owner) is a lovely guy also. Would stay again!
